Nice bar atmosphere l, plenty of tvs for sports, and staff seems pretty nice. I came in around 1230 pm and they had a lot of people working and the food came out in a timely manner. I was sitting at bar which was a cool area so I could view the entire place. I had the chicken wings that were good but pricey for the amount of wings I recieved.

We’ve eaten there a few times in last few months and service is slipping each time. This time we had 3 in our party and found a clump of blond hair in our salad. The steak was bland no seasonings. They discounted our meal slightly by with line items… «Mistake discount» but not enough to ensure we come back and manager never came and said a word to us or asked about our meal. I support our military and all they do for us but I will never go or recommend to go here until staff and cooks are replaced or fully retrained!

Food is good. I like how they just don’t recognize the military but corrections as well. Thank you. It’s nice to feel appreciated!

Ordered 1×1 private breakfast plate subbed the toast for French toast. I don’t like potatoes but they wouldn’t sub the potatoes for anything else. Said it was cause of pricing. Didn’t even give me the option to pay additional for subbing out the potatoes. They’re stingy here. Probably won’t be coming back anymore

Lovely little local place. The prices are a little high, but the food is great and so are the people.

We had an excellent lunch date at Sarges today. My husband ordered 2lbs of wings and loved them! I ordered an 8oz sirloin that was perfect. The fries were a good combination of crisp and soft. My Italian soda was amazing as was my husband’s bloody mary. Our waitress, Karri, was delightful, attentive and kind. I’m so excited to have found an enjoyable sit down restaurant near home!

Despite our past negative experience with sarges during breakfast hours we decided to give the restaurant a try during dinner hours. I ordered the fish and chips and I was very disappointed. There was more batter than fish. The little bit of fish I did have was discolored and greasy. The«chips» we cold and tasted like they had been under a heating lamp for hours. Additionally the slaw was wilted and at least a couple of days old. I refrained from saying anything because I did not want to ruin my date night. My husband seemed to enjoy his burger and I managed to eat most of my fish. However I am regretting it now. Also I would not recommend going here for date night it has to many lights is as if we were in a brightly lighted office. Needless to say we will not be returning. I give one stars to our waitress who was quite attentive.

My sister in law and brother in law really like this place, I however was very unimpressed. They did say they typically get breakfast and I opted for lunch instead, maybe that was my mistake. I am pregnant so I searched for a healthy option. I only found one a grilled chicken salad. It was only lettuce and salad, but according to the descriptions on the menu I believe it should be have been egg, cranberries, cucumber and croutons. My husband got the brat, asked for it with mustard and cheese. It came with neither. The worst part was our meals were these, another sandwich and 4 breakfasts. Nothing should have taken very long and it probably took 45 minutes to get our food, it was early on Saturday and not very crowded. We actually ended up running late for our next appoointment. The food was mediocre at best and definitely not worth the long wait.

First visit, the food was good. I had the Philly Cheese Steak. Yummy! However I don’t know if it would satisfy as a man portion. Seemed small but was perfect for me. My side was the sweet potato fries. One of the best I’ve had. It did seem like it took a while for the food to come out but it was worth the wait… plus I wasn’t in a huge hurry.

To me, there’s nothing too special about this place. Fare is pretty standard bar-type food, and the military décor is a nice touch. I was expecting shredded pork in my On The Beat Street Tacos, but the pork was cubed and thrown on top. My husband’s Philly Cheesesteak was good, though! Our waitress seemed bothered or pre-occupied with something except when it came time for the check and tip. My first experience here was just ho-hum, but I’m willing to give it another try.

I am now having very mixed feelings about this place; I used to love it! Our first 20 or so meals here were amazing… EVERY time. Unfortunately, the last 3 meals we had at Sarge’s were enough to make us start looking for other places to eat. Our last meal there consisted of the pork steak plate and the philly steak sandwich. My wife’s pork steaks were so «done» that they were just short of charred on one side, almost black; they had obviously been forgotten on the grill. They were served light-side up so they looked nice, but were extremely difficult to cut and chew, due to being so overcooked. I worked as a cook for about 12 years, and can tell you those poor little pork steaks were on the grill for at least 5 minutes longer than they should have been. My sandwich was fantastically disappointing… I had opted to «Willy Pete» my philly sandwich, which adds jalapeño bacon, jalapeño ranch, and jalapeño peppers for a $ 2.75 increase in cost. It was painfully obvious that my sandwich had been prepared at the same time as my wife’s pork steaks, but, only taking a few minutes to complete, it sat under some heat lamps until my wife’s plate was ready 15 minutes later. By the time that sandwich reached our table, the ranch dressing had made a soggy mess of the bottom bun, and the top bun was very dry. I will assume that the meal was made by very inexperienced cooks that do not understand how to have foods with different cooking times arrive at the window simultaneously. Even more annoying than the dried out /soggy aspects of my old sandwich, was it’s contents. I have had that sandwich at Sarge’s before, and it was amazing! This time around, however, it appeared to have only about 50% of the makings inside of it, and this was after paying $ 2.75 extra for them to add more stuff. How does that work? I pay more money to get more stuff in it, and end up with a sandwich that literally has 50% of the makings inside than it usually does? There was so little beef inside this sandwich, and so few peppers. Let’s not forget this was supposed to be a Philly cheese steak sandwich. It was so disappointing. I left that restaurant hungry for the first time, and I even ate the rest of my wife’s burned pork. I used to love this restaurant; I hope that they can fix the problems in the kitchen so we can someday return.

This is my first time here my first impression once I walked in was this place is huge. It has a ton of room and really has a bar like atmosphere. I ordered the Sarge’s bacon burger with fries, the meal itself took a little over 20 mins to come out. The burger itself is a nice 1⁄3 pound burger, it was quite juicy and delicious, the fries were well seasoned the way I like them. No real complaints except for the food wait time. I will be back to ordered something different next time.

After our $ 7 cup of nacho cheese and rotel came out, my wife and I tried to remain optimistic. Then our burger and street tacos took 45 minutes to come out while our drinks were empty and our waitress smoked cigarettes outside, clearly visible through the window. I’m sure the street itself had more flavor than the actual tacos, and an $ 12 burger might as well have come from BK. when the part owner GEORGE came over and I politely voiced my concerns, he said they use nacho cheese and rotel because of «storage»(admitted its just nacho cheese and rotel dumped on) then rolled his eyes and walked away to also enjoy a cigarette. $ 36 dollars later and no comp offered, no apologies. Just sub par food and cigarette breaks for all. WHAT A JOKE. CORRECTMEIFIMWRONGGEORGE…

We entered Sarges’ Grill just a little after noon and the place was not busy. I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich sans tomato and my wife ordered a grilled chicken salad. After about 20 minutes passed my wife made a comment as to why it was taking so long to cook two chicken breasts. After about 40 minutes we were getting extremely annoyed that there were other patrons who had come and were seated after we arrived and were now eating! I finally flagged our waitress down and attempted to control my anger as I relayed my annoyance. I asked her point blank if she forgot to put our check in because we were very hungry and to let us know so we can go elsewhere to get some lunch! She apologized and said that it was taking a long time because chicken takes a while to cook. What? Don’t treat me like I’m stupid! Don’t tell me that it takes 40 plus minutes to grill two chicken breasts when I know it takes about 10 – 15 minutes! I simply pointed out that the couple sitting in front of us — who arrived much later than us — are currently eating and that the woman was eating a chicken breast salad, exactly what my wife ordered! After about a total of over 60 minutes later(it was around 1:15pm!) our food finally came out along with more apologies. The apologies might have helped if it were not for the food itself! The bread of my sandwich was almost burnt to a crisp, the lettuce was brown, and as I opened it up there were the tomatoes that I asked not be placed on my sandwich! The waitress came by to ask if everything was OK and I showed her the tomatoes and she was visibly flustered. She grabbed the check and said that she requested no tomatoes and sure enough it was printed on the check, but I don’t care what the check says at this point! As I picked the tomatoes off and tried to choke past the burnt bread, wilted lettuce, and a big chicken gristle in my sandwich, my wife said«my salad isn’t right!». She said that she was supposed to have croutons, cranberries, and cheese on the salad and there wasn’t. You can understand my incredulity at this point so I told her maybe she was mistaken and to ask the hostess for a menu. She returned with the menu and pointed to her salad and sure enough her salad was missing all of those items! At this point another waitress asked us if everything was alright to which I said it was NOT and pointed out that her salad was missing items. Apparently we wore hats that said«Treat Us Like We’re Stupid» because this new waitress said that their salads typically don’t come with croutons, cheese, and cranberries! At which point we showed her the menu and — SURPRISESURPRISE — all of those items are listed in the menu! I honestly don’t know what this waitress’ excuse was because at this point I was seeing red! Now our waitress approached us and asked what was going on to which we filled her in on the debacle and it was then that I noticed that the chef was standing behind me; he never said a word. Now we were really making a scene with three people standing around our table and I was truly embarrassed and I honestly wanted to leave right then and there; it was awful! The waitress said she’d get the missing items from my wife’s salad and bring them and I just continued to say«it’s fine! I just want to eat and leave! Thank you!» To make matters worse, my wife said that the lettuce had a very distinct from-a-bag flavor. She said that the salad was no good and that her chicken was oily but dry at the same time, as was my chicken! Completely fed up and truly pissed off at this point, the waitress returned and I told her that this was the first and last time we’d ever be in Sarges’ Grill and we’d like the check immediately. She returned promptly and apologized once again and said that she comped my iced tea and gave us a 10% discount… Are you serious, only 10%?! The entire meal should have been free, it was only a $ 17 dollar check, it wouldn’t have killed them to lose that small amount of money that day! What happened next is what I am probably most upset about even a day later. I pulled my credit card out and looked at the check, the 10% discount they gave me was labeled as «Military Discount»! I WOULDHAVEGOTTENTHISDISCOUNTREGARDLESSYOUMORONS! I must have been leaking steam out of my ears as the other waitress came over and said with a smile«did you see that we gave you 10% off the bill?» as if she was proud of it! I pulled out my military retirement card and sternly said«I am a veteran! I would have gotten that discount anyway!» Her moronic and naïve reply — which perfectly matched her lack of empathy — was simply: «…Well, there you go!». What?! «THEREYOUGO»?! If I was less civilized I would have walked out on the check all together for that comment alone, never mind the absolutely horrible experience we had at this restaurant. We paid our bill, tipped the waitress, and left — NEVER to return. NEVER!
