This company is excellent, they don’t play the pricing games that so many of the other oil companies do. Bob Sr, was excellent in setting me up as a new customer and just a pleasure to work with. Highly recommend them.

I have been a loyal customer of Star Petroleum since the initially installed my A/C system 10+ years ago. However, something has really gone awry their this year, they are completely unresponsive despite repeated contact attempts. They found a small leak in my attic unit last spring during a routine preseason inspection. Scott laid out my option and gave me an estimate for each of those options. I did not have the budget for replacing the unit at that time, so I told him we would try and limp through the rest of the season and then address it in the spring. He was fine and we left it at that. I called Star in mid-April looking to speak to someone to try to arrange for the replacement of my attic unit. I left a message and waited a 2 weeks with no response. I called again the beginning of May and left a message again. No return call. I called two days later and the operator was able to track down Sean the service manager who told me he would get together with Scott and call me back by Friday of that week. I am still waiting for the return call. Frustrated, I called the office again the week of the 18th of May. No return call. See a pattern? I called again this past Wednesday 5⁄25 and left a message for three people in the office and am still waiting on Friday for a call back. At this point I am looking for an alternative. This is p*ss poor customer service and certainly gives the impression that they don’t give a rat’s a** about my business.

The best! I worked with Star a little last-minute to completely replace the boiler in our home at the beginning of the heating season in October. Not only were they extremely professional, punctual, and priced reasonably, they were super accommodating and coached me through the Mass Save program to get the best available rebate and 0% financing for the entire system. The new equipment works great, the entire buying process/installation was excellent, and I can’t recommend Scott and his crew to enough people. If you’re looking for service, equipment replacement, or just oil deliveries– don’t be stupid and shop on price alone, call Star and trust a local family owned business. There’s something very reassuring about calling a business with questions and talking to the owner or his son at length until they’re sure you understand what you’re shopping for, just plain great people!

I was in a bind and needed oil today so I called Star. My Foster Mother worked for them years ago so I thought why not I had been turned down by my current oil company so I called. I talked with the ladies in reception and then to Scott. He drove by my house to check out the driveway and then 20 mins later I got a call back saying they would take on the job. I came home an hour later and was pleased to find I had been refilled by Star! Thank you all for helping me out in a time of need I will make sure to take my business to you from now on and share the word with organization I am involved with and friends & family.

great company. i had a small issue with my a/c system. i could not get anyone to take a look at it or call me back about(to small of a job??). as soon as a called star, i talked to chris(service manager), he was very quick to set up a appointment. chris personally came to my house, gave me an estimate & started working on my system. highly recommend these guys for a/c, oil furnaces & hot water heaters. no job to small, no crazy service fees just to look.
