New to Framingham, I was exploring restaurants near my apartment and passed by Chinese Mirch. Its caption«Chinese Food Made by India» quickly raised my eyebrows, so I decided to give this restaurant a try. Chinese Mirch is an Indian-Chinese fusion restaurant. Pleasant ambience, great service. I had their lunch special Basil Chicken, which came with an egg drop soup and dessert of the day ginger ice cream. A very nice lunch combo for $ 9.99! Basil Chicken however was a bit too peppery and contained few pieces of chicken. One last bit of info, you get a 5% discount if you pay by cash. Overall, not a stellar restaurant. I love Chinese and Indian food but I personally don’t find the fusion of the two cuisines appealing.

I am here for lunch buffet, unexpected though that they serve buffet on Saturday. Anyway, a lot of different food for buffet here. The best is chicken Biriyani-very tasty. The atmosphere is very bistro. I am glad I didn’t go to the next door which is British beer company, right decision for me who love spicy food. Their Mapu Tofu is better than any Chinese restaurants I ever tried before-more taste and vibrant than put Chinese places cook. By the way, I love music here-just very ethnic-this is what I look for when visiting New England-a true merging pot!

The food was BAD. Completely not worth it! Bland, boring boiled noodles with barely 2 – 3 pieces of vegetables… Or I should say onions here and there. Unreasonably priced for the quality. The interior and website of the restaurant will project a different image so don be fooled. Quality of food is below average. If you have an option of boiled pasta with some salt and oil, eat that instead.

Chinese food has a special place in the hearts of all Indians(or to most, if I must say). And if I must say, it’s a comfort food for most! In India, we have a different take on Chinese food… it’s got a taste of its own! Do not imagine that India doesn’t have a strong presence of the Chinese, if I may add, the place I come from, Kolkata(Eastern India), they have a very strong community and a Chinatown in the heart of the city !! Coming to the point, I always enjoyed the Indian version of Chinese. I have had authentic Chinese food in Kolkata, but just for the experience. it dint comfort me much. except the soups. Coming to Boston was exciting but I started missing my Indian Chinese food. Had tried quite a few Chinese places but all in vain. I guess my husband kept this place as a special surprise for me. Last year after a tiring shopping trip to Walmart,(which is almost 15miles away) my husband drove into this place. Not a huge place, but seemed very comfortable once we walked in. The décor is decent. Was lucky enough to get a table at once but was elated to taste the food!!! I thought of reviewing it after the first visit, but I thought a few more visits should confirm my opinion on this place. The menu has both Indian and Chinese food, but we have had only had Chinese food. The appetizers are fun, but portions could be better. Try the ‘Panipuri shots, lettuce wraps & quite a few. The one dish that was common in all visits in the past year(more than 6−7times for sure) was Chilly Chicken ! It tastes as authentic as the versions I tasted in Kolkata! Tastes great, not very spicy, but they can make it more spicy if you want. Other items like Hakka noodles, fried rice, fish in pepper sauce, and a few other chicken and fish items, all tasted good and not generic. And the taste and quality has been great every time we visited. A big shout out to the staff, a big support to any business I must say and the ones who manage the business!!! Must say the owners have perfectly understood the taste of Indian Chinese and the emotions attached to this comfort cuisine. Don’t get me wrong, have always seen a lot of Americans dining out here

The food was really good, it’s hard to find a place that serves Indian Chinese that can match what you find in India and I found it here. The service on the other hand was particularly unsavory. To start off, we were a party of 12 and they told us they couldn’t seat that many people together. The restaurant was almost empty when we arrived so it didn’t really make sense. Then the hostess said she would see what she could do but she looked really annoyed about it. Eventually we were seated. The décor was nice and the place filled up soon after, which is maybe why they had such issues the whole time. The service was so disorganized. The server was nice enough and tried to be as responsive as possible but it seemed like they were having issues in the kitchen. Food should come out all at once. Or at least serve items with rice and naan that were ordered! We ordered paneer makhni with naan and rice. We got one order of naan and the paneer which we enjoyed but then we had to wait for more naan and rice and the paneer got cold. The rice came literally right before we paid the bill and half our table cancelled their rice orders. ALSO, when we were finishing up for some reason we got a duplicate order for no reason and the server just looked confused and took it back. Then it happened AGAIN with another dish! We also received an incorrect order. They also messed up the bill but we didn’t bother getting it fixed since it seemed like they’d probably mess up again. Serious management and organization issues but I would love to order out from here since the food is so yummy! Everything was perfectly flavored and the perfect level of spicy. I got the hot chili garlic noodles(something like that) and it was sooo yummy. The chicken 65 was awesome too. We also got the free mango lassi with the Unilocal check in and it was delicious! Unfortunate that the delicious food was overshadowed by the service.

Bad Service Really bad food And bad staff This place use to be very good but unfortunately not anymore. Staff was untrained didn’t even know what they have. We asked server something he is like wait sir let me go and ask. They didn’t even clean table for long time. Really slow and food taste below average. Not going this place anymore.

There is no way to give zero star. This is the third time they have given us chicken irrespective of us identifying as vegetarians. Service at its worse!

One of those Indo-chinese food restaurant. I had been to this place few times and each time experience with food was different. On one occasion, soup was too spicy and I could only take couple of sips. On other occasion, vegetable fried rice had okra in it :(who puts okra in chinese food?

The worst service ever. I had to wait for 25 minutes for the second naan. Secondly we ordered Mumbai Gobi and we found that the Gobi was kind of expired and we could see fried fungi thing inside. On top of this they charged my credit card extra 8 $ though I did not tip because of such a bad service. Thanks that I happen to check my credit card statements regularly. Advise to all, please make sure that you check your credit card statements regularly to see such fraud charges. I am waiting for the manager to resolve this fraud charges.

Lunch Buffet: Recently introduced, but they are not in par with the other indian restaurants around. The most negative is that they are very poor in restocking the buffet items. Ala Carte: The kababs are the best in ala carte, the hyderabadi chicken is also very good. Schezuan rice is just average In deserts the rasamali is good and the masala coke is good too. If you are a spice fan.

I have visited this place twice. Every time there seems to be something bad in the same dishes. There is no consistency in the food quality. I ordered andhra chicken curry gravy. On the first visit it was really good. With the later though the taste remain the same I noticed too much oil in the gravy!!! The restaurant claims to be indo-Chinese but I feel it be more Indianized. And it’s bit pricy for the quantity they offer!!! One good think is that you get Romali roti which you can’t find in any Indian restaurants near by!!!

This is an update to my previous review 1⁄8 — I didn’t realize how Foodler worked and I realized that my review and frustration may be been misplaced. Most of this experience was not the restaurant’s fault(except for the food temp and missing item in the order). The owner reached out to apologize which is really nice. I am increasing my star rating to judge the food only. I would give this restaurant a try again, but just not the delivery service. Here was the original review — We ordered delivery from this spot via foodler or one of those types and honestly — it was an awful experience. I don’t often write bad reviews, I believe that people(especially in the restaurant industry) work very hard and things happen and there is usually a legit reason. This was not one of those cases. I placed my order online, nothing overly complicated and no specific instructions. The order was about $ 50. Then we waited… and waited… and waited… and finally I called and they said they would be there in 10 minutes… and we waited… nothing. So finally my husband called Dashed and they put him on hold for 30 minutes. I called the restaurant directly and offered to come pick it up. They said fine, but that they should probably remake it because it has been sitting.(My first thought was — ok, if I come get it, you’re going to remake it, but if I wasn’t going to come get it, you weren’t going to remake it? That’s just gross. And I would have had gross food, called and complained.) So I drive over there for the fresh food and she charges me. I asked, well I already paid for this — she said that I had to work it out with Foodler/Dashed and the restaurant loses money because now they had to remake it. I was so taken aback that I paid and left. I mean — you’re now 2 hours late delivering food, but you didn’t even deliver it! And now I have to pay full price for my own inconvenience. If you aren’t able to deliver food — then don’t offer it. Oh — the top it all off — they forget one of the items and the order was gross. We ordered a bunch of gyozas and other appetizers. Lastly — the dashed/foodler returned our money, but who cares because we still had to pay for dinner. Why didn’t the restaurant call us(they knew who I was) and ask if we wanted to come get it? Why didn’t Dashed call when they realized there was an issue? Bad bad bad customer service and easily resolvable.

I have been to Chinese Mirch quite a few times and this is my first review for them. The first thing you would notice when you enter Chinese Mirch is the ambience. It is quite and appealing. The second thing is don’t forget to check-in on Unilocal for a free mango lassi. The third thing is the masala coke/thumbs-up which is a typical drink you find on streets of india sold by local vendors(very hard to find in US). And last but not the least their food. We were 2 people and ordered hyderabadi chilli chicken, chicken 65 with rumali roti. Chicken 65 was quite good suiting our taste buds. Hyderabadi chilli chicken was a little drier than expected. Rumali roti was perfect. I once visited this place on one of those chilly days in New England. Me and my friend ordered the king fisher and had it along the hyderabadi chilli chicken and biryani. It was perfect. The biryani dis-appointed us a bit but on a whole wonderful place for hangouts. If you are looking for some variety in Indian dishes, then this definitely worth a shot. One thing i did notice is indian food with chinese touch is bit raunchy. You got to be extra cautious when picking on what you want because those sauces could spoil the actual taste indian food has to offer. The food was a bit on the expensive side too.

We came here last night for dinner after hearing it was supposed to be a good spot. I don’t think I will rush back here. Three stars, but I debated giving it two. They claim they are a chinese restaurant with an indian twist. I didn’t see many chinese dishes there, but there were a few indian dishes. It is a weird fusion idea, and one that I don’t think I am a huge fan of. We got the chicken tikka masala and the egg byrium(spelling is wrong) and garlic naan. I also had a cup of chicken soup dumplings. It was all ok, nothing stood out. They can make stuff spicy which is great. Pricing was ok, a bit on the expensive side for what you get. I would rather go to an indian or chinese restaurant and not blend the two cuisines.

Positive thing was the free mango lassi if you check in through Unilocal.Came in on a weekday for lunch with a group of my coworkers. We ordered a variety of lunch entrees. They weren’t bad. I had the chicken masala. It was alright. However, my friend isn’t happy with his lunch. It was too salty and didn’t go about finishing his lunch.
