We had the draft wine sampler. 3 out of 6 were wimpy little fruity things, 2 were ok and one was pretty good. The wait staff was friendly, but the music was really odd for the atmosphere. Not sure what they are trying to be?

Wow! A gastronomic paradise in a tourist town! Wonderful staff(thank you Rachel O for the great recommendations), great beverage selection, pleasant atmosphere and terrific food! The smoked trout appetizer is flavorful — especially with the balsamic onion jam accoutrement. We then enjoyed the Prost Club Panini — fresh, flavorful, each ingredient proportionate and complementary to the other, and very good sized. We will be back to sample other items.

The ambience looked fine. The caprese and grilled cheese were OK, but nothing special. The way our to-go order was prepared was just not appropriate. The caprese(basically a panini) and the side salad was all placed into the same box with the salad dressing. If you don’t have the means-and that’s why one gets a good to-go, you would have to dress the salad inside the box(probably on your lap) and EATWITHYOURHANDS!!! Yes, no forks(or napkins) were included. Anyway, just be careful while ordering to-go. And, avoid the chocolate trio. I personally wouldn’t feel comfortable to sell six pieces of store-bought chocolate for $ 8! But, this place does… P. S.: the bartender himself brought the food over, not one of the busboys. Just saying…

There aren’t a lot of great options in Frankenmuth if you’re trying to avoid heavy food and lots of it(think AYCE chicken dinners). I was happy to have found this little gem. The inside décor is modern and spacious. There’s a bar along the back wall and a nice patio with umbrellas at every table. The menu is small but refined. You will find some delicious appetizers as well as sandwiches and salads. The meat and cheese boards are a great start and pair well with wine. The service was slow and our waiter seemed preoccupied but in all fairness I will say we visited during balloon fest and dog show weekend so I’m not knocking off any stars. I had a delicious organic hard cider and the grilled vegetable panini and was totally satisfied. I will be back on my next visit to Frankenmuth.

Was drawn in here by the sign on the sidewalk($ 4 wine) & wasn’t disappointed. Very cute place, good wine & yummy appetizer(trout spread). Probably the best food you can get in the area, considering how touristy it is here. Would recommend 100%!

Had heard great things about this place, and I definitely wasn’t disappointed by my recent first visit. The cocktails were creative and delicious, and I was happy with all of my choices. The only negative was they were out of the peanut orgeat needed to make what I’d planned on having for my last cocktail of the visit … but the Sapsucker, which I ended up ordering instead, was so delicious that I couldn’t even be upset about not getting to have the other cocktail.(And hey, I’ll just try it next time! There will definitely be a next time.) Pastrami panini also was tasty. Also worth mentioning: Service at the bar was very good; I’ll make a point to sit there on future visits. And we were there mid-afternoon on a Saturday, so we had no issues with getting seats. I’ll remember this next time. Can’t wait to go back!

Absolutely fabulous atmosphere, food, wine and craft cocktails. Service was above and beyond. Justine knew her stuff and gave excellent recommendations. We created our own charcuterie and cheese board with amazing accompaniments. They have tons of Michigan wine and meats made in frankenmuth. Worth every penny and made our one night in frankenmuth something special!

We had Rachel O. As our server and we cannot describe how awesome she was. So incredibly down to earth and fun. I had the avocado crab salad and it was fabulous. We are celebrating a special occasion and she brought us out an amazing little surprise. We are beyond satisfied with our experience here. I will be recommending Prost and Rachel to all of our friends and family. Superb!!!

When this place opened up we were hoping it would be the new place that the locals had to be… Not so much. Don’t get me wrong, the drinks are good and the food is okay, but if you’re looking to spend under 50 dollars, DONOT go here! The first time my husband and I went we each had two beers and split a panini which came with house made chips(even though it was very obvious they were just Lay’s taken out of the bag). Our bill was $ 52 dollars! For four pint-sized beers and one small sandwich. We were not impressed. I’ve been there again with friends and have still never gotten out without spending under 30 dollars by myself. If you’re new to the area, try it. But I wouldn’t recommend.

If you’re a foodie, this is your best option in Frankenmuth. Bypass the tourists lining up for the fried chicken and cottage cheese meals and head into Prost! Also, we are vegan and there is literally NOWHERE else to eat in this town so we were thrilled to find this place. We ordered the hummus and tapenade, olive plate, grilled veggie panini and kale salad.(No cheese on those last two, and honestly, they were so tasty, they didn’t need it!) This was way too much food for two but we wanted to try everything and ended up with snacks for later. I also ordered a cocktail, sunrise over Ireland, and the total bill with tip was approx $ 50.00 It’s winter and their enclosed deck area has warmers and blankets and every table but we didn’t need them.(But it added to the atmosphere). This is the only place I would eat upon return. Prost makes me feel like foodies have a place to go around here.

Was looking for a place to eat and this place came up on Unilocal. The name caught my attention then when I saw this place was a «wine bar and charcuterie» I got excited since there isn’t a trendy place like this in the area. I put my name in on a Saturday evening(came here with my husband) and they sent me a text when my table was ready. This is a VERYSMALL restaurant but they have an outdoor patio which is covered for cold weather, and they have some heatlamps. All the chars on the patio have blankets too. We ordered a build-your-own charcuterie board, which you can either pick three or pick six. We selected two meats, a cheese & two accompaniments. At the same time we ordered our meal — the featured panini & the caprese panini. The board took 25 minutes from when we ordered until it was delivered to our table. The parmegiano reggiano cheese was delicious! I wasn’t in the best mood since it took so long for our board. Then we waited over HALFANHOUR for our meals. The server did check in with us to tell us the food is «coming up» but only after hearing me complain [to my husband] that at that point it took almost an hour to get our food. Sure enough our food came to the table about 55 – 60 minutes AFTERWEPLACEDTHEORDER. I asked the server if our sandwiches burned, or if there was an issue, she just shrugged her shoulders once or twice and said«I don’t know.» She did apologize but I don’t understand what takes one hour to make two panini sandwiches, throw chips on a plate and throw a salad on a plate. What else doesn’t make sense? Two tables behind us got their paninis at least 10 – 15 minutes before we got ours! Food was just as Unilocal says with three-star reviews: A-OK. Wasn’t amazing, and wasn’t terrible. Italian vinaigrette with the salad was good, and my panini was grilled perfectly. However our bill was not discounted at all. The restaurant should have proactively offered some type of discount due to the inconvenience.

So fun! Exactly what we were looking for in a town otherwise known for fried chicken. Great atmosphere, attentive wait staff, reasonable prices and the best wine list we’ve seen this side of the Flint river. We ordered the«Create your own» meat and cheese board and a red and white wine. The best part of the whole evening was trying different combinations of meats and cheeses and accoutrements and then sharing the best paired ones with each other. Thanks for a great evening!

If I could just eat charcuterie boards for dinner, I would. What is better than meat or cheese? This place has a great atmosphere, and a ton of great wines – I had one from the tap. I like how they have meat and cheese with side spreads like the honey and mustard. I was in the area for work, but you can tell it is a cut above some of the other local selections. Definitely want to return!

Excellent food selection, especially on this tourist downtown area, where awful fried chicken are the most famous food… Really like the trout spread, the diy plate is awesome. Sandwich is also fresh and tasty.

Prost tries too hard to come off as a pretentious wine lounge, and their menu was what made it clear they were nowhere close to that image they attempted to portray. Our server was borderline rude, snobby, and slow. She was constantly hanging out at the bar chatting with her coworkers instead of helping us, and took a long time to give us our check. I’ve frequented many wine lounges and we’re members at numerous wineries in Napa, and the service I received was nowhere near how terrible we were treated by our server. We came here after touring Frankenmuth while on vacation, and thought it would be great place to wind down from our day. Definitely not. I’ve never felt so unwelcomed by a business/server. Can’t recommend Prost to anyone visiting the area, unless you enjoy being treated like second class citizens.

A very different sort of place for Frankenmuth. Very modern & upscale, with a «big-city» vibe. I do love my beer-and-sausage, but it’s nice to have something different available. This is it. We came in here after being ignored at a bar down the street. This place was busy, but they happily seated us at a table inside the door and got us some menus. The place has two aspects, a regular indoor bar /seating area, with a large garage door that opens to a small courtyard on one side. The courtyard is separated from the street by an iron railing; essentially it is a vacant infill lot – perhaps where a building used to be next door. There was a guy playing guitar outside; but the garage door was big enough that the inside/outside didn’t seem so separate… the spaces blend together quite well, and you could see/hear him just fine. I had a tall glass of Hofbrau Dunkle and the Prostrami – which is a pastrami Pannini – and a salad. Both were excellent, and sorely needed, since I was VERY hungry. My wife got the Mortadella bites; she was expecting something like a mozzarella stick, but was happily surprised with something more like little grilled cheese paninnis. They were awesome, and very substantial for an appetizer. Service was efficient and very pleasant. Prices are very reasonable, considering the upscale nature of the place. Nice crowd here, too. If you want to take a break from the lager, fried chicken-and-potato pancakes-fare, this is a great place to go. For once, you can leave the Leaderhosen at home. :-)

I live down the road from Frankenmuth and when Prost opened I could not wait to go. However, wait is exactly what I did do. It was just one of those things where when we thought about it, we couldn’t go and when we had time to go, we ended up going someplace else. My husband and I are foodies( ) so when we try some place cool for the first time(especially a place that has stuff we already like) we tend to order quite a bit of stuff to sample. This time was no exception. We ordered whisky samplers, wine, the Farmhouse Cheese board and the Italian meat board. Hubs also ordered the Charcuterie Salad and Tomato Brushetta Crostini. All of it was awesome. Service was A+. I can’t say enough how good the food was. The atmosphere was wonderful. Conversation flowed. I cant wait to go back.

This is the adult night spot for Frankenmuth. It’s very swank and similar to something you’d find in Royal Oak or Birmingham. Love the décor and atmosphere. They have a nice little patio area that is well covered with umbrellas. We only had drinks, but we checked out the menu. There were several appealing items I would love to order. This is not your typical family oriented spot in Frankemuth. I’m pretty sure you won’t find chicken fingers and fries on the menu. I’m a little sad we weren’t able to try the food on this trip. It will definitely be my 1st stop next time we go.

So glad we chose to celebrate our anniversary evening here last weekend! Yes, it is a bit loud, yes it is a bit crowded — but who cares! Excellent service! Exactly the kind that doesn’t seem to exist anymore. Servers and management alike. MUST try the craft cocktails, we had so much fun making our way through the menu, each one superb and unique. We had the Spanish charcuterie, perfect presentation and flavors. We were more in the mood for the beverages, but sneaking peeks at other tables all of the food looks really good. Thank you so very much Prost for a wonderful anniversary memory. We will be back long before our next!

This is a great addition to Frankenmuth’s down town! It doesn’t hurt that it specializes in some of my favorite things… wine and charcuterie. I really wanted to try a cheese board but my mom picked the Italian charcuterie instead – next time! I also had to get a moscow mule. It comes in a copper cup(any other way just isn’t right, amirite?) In addition to a satisfying menu, the ambiance is equally perfect. The outdoor seating is really charming, with heaters and fire pits and festive lights. The inside is a little small/intimate but we got a table right away. I love this place! And would love to come back soon.
