Jewelry and Fix

Based on google search I took my Tag Heuer and Raymond Weil watches to J&F for repair and service. Extremely good experience dealing with the owner Ralph, whose expertise was apparent by the professional and confident manner in which he communicated. The cost estimates he provided were fair and reasonable and the turn around time was quick. The watches are working fine so far and the one year warranty on the work performed is very comforting. Ralph, keep up the good work!

I lost one of the diamonds out of my anniversary band, and the ‘national chain’ jewelry store where the ring was originally purchased wanted too much for the repair. The gentleman at Jewelry and Fix quoted me a price 20% less and did a beautiful job. The repaired ring looks perfect, and it is so clean, I’d forgotten how much it sparkles. I feel like I have a brand new ring. He also did the repair quickly – I dropped the ring off on a Wednesday afternoon, and it was ready on Friday. I would definitely go here again if I needed jewelry repair.

I have a vintage, rare two faced Cartier clock that wasn’t synchronized. I’m talking a desk clock, not a watch. I tried having it repaired at several places in Manhattan and most wouldn’t touch it, due to the complexity of Cartier clocks. I even took it to Cartier and they told me «this will be VERY expensive.» Now, when Cartier tells you that, you know you’re going in debt.
I found this guy online. He gave me a quote significantly less than the other quotes I got and was able to do the work in much less time. On the due date he called to apologize — he had found one side was still 2 minutes off from the other and wanted a few days to perfect it. He also showed me how to properly care for the clock, and gave me a 1 year guarantee on work. He was friendly, professional and personable. I’d happily make the trek for him to repair other watches and jewelry.
BTW, I don’t trust the other review. $ 10 for a battery is common. I get them all the time (I have about 20 watches). Also, the owner was extremely helpful and professional during my interactions with him. It annoys me when people abuse Unilocal to give a negative review over something fairly trivial.

Claimed to use «Swiss» batteries and not «cheap Asian» — horrible, unprofessional, and downright over the top in price. Not to mention rude and racist. I wouldn’t even give one star but seems as though I have to in order to post a review.

What a local gem!!! The owner is an honest and reasonable jeweler. He is kind and does incredible work. It’s so convenient to have a wonderful jewelry store so close by. Also, he carries the latest in jewelry trends! I highly recommend this place!!!
