I grew up in this area but I’ve never actually tried Prince Umbertos until today, usually I would hit up King Umbertos or Martinos a town over in Elmont. We ordered delivery today off grub hub. My boyfriend opted for Lobster ravioli in alfredo sauce, and then was asked would you«like to substitute whole wheat pasta» and my boyfriend was thrilled because he was under the impression that the ravioli noodle itself would be whole wheat… Well all he ended up with was whole wheat penne in alfredo sauce, no lobster to be found anywhere in this dish… Not only that but the alfredo sauce was so bland, it had no Parmesan or buttery taste what so ever, tasted like it came straight from a jar. For myself I opted for the veal rolitini Marsala. Terribly under seasoned and again the mushrooms tasted and had a texture like they were from a jar. I was asked what I would like as a side to this dish(spaghetti, pasta, salad, potato crochet etc.) of course I wanted spaghetti thinking that I would have the veal Marsala topped on the spaghetti. Tell me why they gave me a separate container of spaghetti topped with marinara sauce? Just doesn’t make sense. Lastly we chose a stuffed mushroom appetizer to split. AGAIN… Not seasoned at all! Bland bland bland! The stuffing was mushy plain breadcrumb, you would think in Italian dishes you would not only TASTE the seasoning but SEE the seasoning as well, whether it be oregano, parsley, basil or whatever! Something! We were extremely disappointed in our meal, the entire order was less than par. I will not be ordering from here again, I’d rather pick up the same dishes from the Meat Farms deli next door and I would probably be more satisfied with taste and quality. Sorry guys, please step up your game, representing the name Umberto’s I would think I’d experience better food.

Lots of great gluten free options. My favorite is chicken marsala. Their red sauce is very good too.

I love this place. I was visiting family and went here for dinner. The food was phenomenal true traditional Italian. The owner Pina is an amazing lady. She was out with all her tables talking laughing and even dancing to some amazing entertainment. We ordered a variety items. The pies are amazing. Appetizers entrees all of it. I wish we had a place like that in my town.

I recently moved to the area and I immediately fell in love with Prince Umberto’s. The pizza’s are great and the pasta dishes are flavorful… But tonight we had a delivery and ordered the«minions.» They were OUTOFTHISWORLD!!! Light, airy, chewy, crispy and they were coated to perfection!!! Yay for the minions

Total last ditch stop to avoid a fast food joint. Can only comment on the stromboli with ham(amazing) and the signature potato and bacon pie(decent, a little dry). We did take out, the food was fast and ready. Wouldn’t go outta my way, but when the pickins are slim and you’re hungry, worth a stop.

I’ve been coming to Prince Umbertos on and off for about two years now. I work in the area and it’s convenient to get to. The eggplant parmesan happens to be very good however the general attitude of these gavones is not pleasant. Nobody’s smiling and it feels like I’m on trial every time I walk in the door.

Real bad. The pie was not good whatsoever. In a town like Franklin square i have no idea how they survive. The garlic knots were also gross. The sodas were warm as if they weren’t refrigerated whatsoever beforehand. This was for a delivery no more than 5 blocks away.

My absolute favorite FRIEDCALZONES. I posted a review. But since then I ordered something new — bacon calzone! Great fried calzone make a delish lunch or snack. So very good. Busy family owned pizza /restaurant. Food is always good.

Just tried to place an order for delivery. The total came out to $ 19. They said they wouldn’t deliver unless over $ 20. I asked if they could make an exception for the $ 1 since I didn’t want to order anything else for just my son and I. They said no. I asked again. He said no again and laughed about it. What kind of customer service is this? I will never ever spend my money here.

Their Vodka sauce is amazing! I buy the jars to make pasta at home, and their vodka slice is great too! I can’t get enough, love coming here for pizza they have so many slices and they are all so good. Great staff, I’ve never had a problem and parking is great too.

Working in the immediate area I have started frequenting this establishment within the last few weeks. As per many reviews the first slice I tried was the chicken penne vodka slice. Although others rave about it, I didn’t think it was anything too spectacular. The slice tasted mushy. Although the flavors were good, I couldn’t get over the soggy texture of the overall slice. The regular plain slice was just that, plain. The sauce was bland and desperately needed seasoning. Luckily, this spot does have hot sauce so with a few dashes of hot sauce the plain slices are doable. The pepperoni pin wheels are really good. They’re soft but not too soft. The pepperoni has a pit of spice to it, and it’s a fair portion for $ 1.75. The Caesar salad is essentially romain lettuce, 3 croutons, and a slice of Parmesan cheese. They tell you to grab the dressing from the fridge. All and all, it’s a decent place to stop for food if you’re in the immediate area, but compared to pizza in Brooklyn and queens, it just doesn’t stack up.

I’m always in for a good rice ball and potato croquet with a side of sauce. I usually drive across the county for my crave until I discovered, just in the next town, Prince Umbertos. I’m very selective with the pizzerias I go to but I decided to give PU a try and was I happy! Pizza? Duh. And may I say, quite delish. I could get a different slice each time I go in(when I’m by eating my usual) and feel more than satisfied. Penne Alla Vodka slice gets a check plus… Plus.

The vodka sauce here is amazing. The vodka slice is top 3 best slices of pizza I’ve had in my life. Forget anything else and just get a vodka slice… its that good.

I had only stopped by for a slice of pizza before. The pizza is great but when I decided to order dinner I was pleasantly surprised! Pizza is okay :/ Their minestrone soup is exceptionally savory and the alfredo sauce tortellini was delicious and had melted cheese that really set it apart. I also ordered a spinach pinwheel — no scimping here! Stuffed with cheese and spinach, it wasnt too oily or salty either, just perfect. Delivery time was excellent and the desserts are great. Their coffee is earthy but not too dark. Delicioso!

I’m a life-long resident of FSQ and have been coming here for as long as I can remember. The pizza is among the best in the area(which is saying A LOT) and the entrees are generally as authentic as you’ll get. I’ve never actually eaten in the dining room bc the main area usually works for a quick few slices. They recently introduced a Rewards Program for patrons who regularly visit. $ 20 Off upon accumulating 500 points…$ 500! Not one of the more attractive loyalty programs BUT I do look forward to my free 20 bucks around retirement :)

Best cheap spot in the immediate vicinity to eat. I worked closeby x5 years and this would be where I would go if I forgot lunch! The pizza is standard here. I do like the buffalo chicken slices, very hearty for the price. Garlic knots are hella cheap. Be sure to ask for marinara sauce on the side! I never venture in the restaurant portion… But you can still order entrée items in the pizza shop and dine in. I like their penne ala vodka. It’s a big portion! I had their tortellini in soup once and I was rather plain. All the staff, and I mean all of them, are extremely nice. It’s a family owned restaurant and they treat you as such! It’s not super cheap here but standard pricing for a full belly. Parking lot out front, altho it could get packed as there are many businesses in this complex.
