The weekend visit was nothing more than an average experience. Average south Indian fare. If you are used to Pav Bhaji from the North of Vindhyas, you should avoid disappointment by not ordering the Pav Bhaji here. Onion Bajji was not well cooked and tasted bland — surprising that they cannot get such simple items right. The ghee idlis were decent and so was the special thali. The sweet laddoo in the thali was right out of the refrigerator — Cold. The overall service was ok and the ambience was fine given that this place is relatively new. I hope they do better over time.

Overpriced food!!! Kaima Idly was definitely stale — it is much better at the Edison location… But the order of Mysore Bonda and Rava Idly were very tasty. Chutney and Sambar were very good. My suggestion: If you want South Indian food at very reasonable price and quite good, just go to Bridgewater temple, NJ or Ganapati temple in NY. You will also get the Lord’s blessings,

I’m shocked at the low rating of this restaurant. We came here for a birthday lunch yesterday with a group of 18. They were so accommodating for our giant group at the last minute!
We all ordered our food quickly after being seated. They were also great about substitutions. I ordered the parotta that comes with two curries, and Sunday’s were a paneer curry and a potato onion sabzi. I don’t like potatoes so I asked for Chana masala and they were totally okay with it.
The food all came out separately as it was prepared, and it was all really good.
Would I come back? Yes– I’ve been to Saravana Bhavan in a few locations now, and it’s all pretty consistent.

This is the place you have to go for authentic South indian food
We large group of friends have been there every other week. There’s nothing really noteworthy about the décor or atmosphere. we started off with vada and 14 PC ghee idli. idli was our go to meal every time we visit.
They have a wide variety of dosas. The dosas are large and crisp. The rava dosas and kara dosas that most of us ordered were delicious.
Lastly I Pretty much liked the $ 13 Saravana Special Meals (menu says availability is limited) has intriguing variety of items. Must try!
Price and Service: This place does’t get too crowded and its fairly priced. Disappointed with waiting staff and the service was not up to mark, Missed out our orders couple of times. They should be more conscious of the timing and order.
Big Thumbs up to sambar and chutneys. Only one thing that fell below our expectations was filter coffee (more watery).
I have to knock off a star for service because it absolutely sucked.

There are better options for South Indian food in the area… Try udipi on the same road …
We ordered there speciality kaima idli and it was nothing other than stale idli deep fried. Rasam was cold. And rava dosa broke into pieces. Definitely avoid even if ordered free food !!!

I was there for dinner recently and had ordered Rava dosa. The dosa was crispy that I felt like I was eating papad. Horrible!
It broke apart into multiple pieces in crumbs. The service is ok but I feel the waiters are a bit clueless. I wouldn’t go back there again.
I prefer Dosa Grill for this.

Dosa, rasam vada and Idly are good. Adai is excellent but tends to a be little oily. Avoid bhajji as it was soaked in oil.
The mini meals needs some improvement. For the price they charge, they should realize that there are much better buffet choices with lot more dishes in the nearby area.
Also I feel that the food is little over priced.

For me it wasn’t that great. I ordered a batura and half of it was hard like chips and it was falling apart and i couldn’t even finish the dish and at the end there were bits and pieces of the batura.
I wouldn’t go there again.
