Don’t go here for lunch from work, you will surely be late. Also, they don’t seem to serve in order. Not very courteous

Good food and cheap too. Take out service is not so fast. I do take out only, and even at the scheduled pick up time, I get to wait couple minutes. I guess they serve dine in with higher priority. But I like what I get after the wait.

The papdi chaat was enjoyable, very saucy and came in a decently sized tray. I’m definitely interested in trying the dosas here.

Aloo.Papdi.Chaat. Either the person making it Tonite was in a great mood or they’re consistent about this recipe but it was the Best I’ve ever had.

Enjoyed our Masala Dosa, Butter Mysore Plain Dosa and the chutneys, but for a not-so-busy time, they took a long time to serve us. Not very well appointed or well maintained, so I’d definitely prefer to do take out from here.

Great value for money… hole in the wall place but surprisingly good food. I really enjoyed the idli/wada and balle balle bhel. Also, the quantity was quite good. Will definitely try more snacks here.

This little place makes some wonderful Indian food. The Chole Bhatura and Dosas are awesome. They have so many vegetarian friendly options. They’ve been around for awhile and you can’t beat their food for the price, especially the Chole Bhatura and Dosa. Portions are reasonable for the price. The family that runs the place are very kind. There is plenty of room to eat there but it’s more of a take out type place. I would definitely recommend giving them a try.

It’s good they are open through the day, unlike most Indian restaurants that siesta after 3pm. However the food is at best average. Did Masala Dosa. Dosa was somewhat burnt, not much flavor in the masala and the Sambhar was little brothy.

Pretty basic Indian fast food shop. No atmosphere to speak of, other than the cute old man who serves the food and does the set up when you sit down. Speaks no English, but has a winning smile. Everything is plastic from water glass to serving plates. Hope they recycle. My Samosa Chaat was pretty good, with two stuffed Sammies deconstructed and drowned with Chaat fixings that were both curry hot and mildly sweet spicy. It was a bit soupier than I expected, but that did not detract from the taste. Prices were very reasonable. This is not the place to go to impress anyone, unless your proud of finding cheapskate lunch places. But, when in a small rush, or eating alone when atmospherics are irrelevant, Bangalore Express may be expressly what you want.

I order Mysore masala dosa, my kids order Chole Bhatura and also spinach & cheese masala dosa. We ended our food with Gajar halwa. Why 4 star Dosa was not up to par what I have had in NJ they can do much better job in masala they rub on the dosa. Best was the Chole Bhatura and the spinach dosa we all loved it. If I am going there again I will stick to the two I said before, I am sorry I forgot to add alu tiki chaat what we also had it was nice. Overall I think it is a place to go back and give them a second chance, service was quick(it is a Thursday night today may be that is the reason not that many people out to eat, not sure) any way till next time we have to Wait

I have been to this place many many times over the years… I like the fact that his food is consistent quality. Most of the dishes are quite good(Masala Dosa), some are really good(like Medhu Vada). I also like the fact that the service is fast. The same owner used to run a North Indian place in a nearby mall called Moti Mahal — that was truly superb, but it closed down :-(

A simple place with some of the best and freshest South Indian food around. Quality and taste are always consistent. You can’t go wrong. Try the pau bhaji and dosa!

Excellent food. Name suggests this restaurant as a South Indian speciality but their punjabi food items are even better! Ambience is lackluster but food makes up for it!

Unilocalers BEWARE! If you see a less-than-stellar rating, read the review to discern whether the stars reflect the FOOD or PAINTCHOICE. or SPELLING. Taking away stars from a review because the owner spelled the name differently? Or because you don’t like their wall color? What’s next? You don’t like the owners car? Is that what Unilocal is for? Please keep reviews relevant. Food/service/cleanliness/price etc. The food at this place is fantastic and the price cant be beat. Special Dosa and Paneer tikka are my fave. Aloo papdi chaat is just out of control. Im not Indian but why havent my Indian friends told me about chaats sooner??? CALLAHEAD if you dont want to sit there a while. They dont make anything in advance… its all fresh and thats why I love it. I dont take away stars because they make it fresh and it takes longer. I would rather wait & have food hot and fresh and perfect. If you want quick/pre-made food, go to mcdonalds.

I love this place. I’m not Indian, but I grew up eating at my Indian friends’ mom’s cooking, and this place tastes like that. Every time I come I’m the only non-Indian person here. This is THE place for dosas, and this place has the best dosas I’ve found around the Princeton and South Brunswick area. The chaats are great, the prices are great, and they have a nice old man that brings you water. What more could you ask for? I guess the décor is pretty bad, and the place looks like an old fast food joint, but that’s how you know the food is gonna be authentic.

Very ordinary food, ambience and service. Kitchen looked far from clean(based on an accidental peek). You can skip this place!

Excellent food. The chaat and the south indian delicacies are delicious. Tastes like home cooked food. So far I have had the Mysore Masala Dosa, Rava sada and Samosa chaat — yuummmie! THe only downside is their coffee — not good :(

I enjoyed this place! Not exacty the cleanest, but one of the best tasting. I’ve tried a few things here, and they are reasonably priced for the taste you’re getting. It’s a pow on your pallet(make sure you like indian food BEFORE going to Bangalore since it is authentic indian flavors)! Do not EAT there, it will ruin the tasty experience since the odd paint color, heat and tables don’t make for a wonderful culinary experience, the dosas deserve more credit. Try: The dosa(which is a flat pancake-crêpe-like thing) with different topics(potatoes is a classic), and a few sauces can’t remember the sauce names but they give it). Samosa Chaat(a fried potato turnover mixed with yogurts, chutney and a spicy
