Big Lots is a great discount store. I love finding good discount stores. In my opinion Massachusetts doesn’t have nearly enough, and the ones I do have are always off the beaten path. Places like Big Lots are great. Big Lots is somewhat like Ocean State Job Lot, but cleaner, and in my opinion, cheaper. Big Lots doesn’t have the clothing section OSJL does, yet OSJL doesn’t have a huge furniture section like Big Lots. Big Lots is much cleaner, and I don’t feel bad and weirded out by buying food here(as it actually LOOKS clean). Staff at furniture and at checkout are all friendly, and they aren’t ever as busy as other Big Lots locations(like the one in Milford). The store is large, vast, and constantly has sales, coupons, and huge clearance markdowns on ALREADY low prices! Great section of household products, electronics, and seasonal as well. This store is located in a leisurely, open shopping plaza, named«Horace Mann» along Route 140 in Franklin. It’s also accessible via Chestnut Street. Ample parking right out front. Essentially, this is just the best place to find anything discount in the area. Definitely a great place to stop by if you are in the area and looking for a great discount store or any specific item they carry, and furniture(as there aren’t too many furniture stores in the area…). 5 stars.

I am a huge Big Lots fan. I have 2 school aged kids, a pet, and a household to run. Big Lots is my go to store for snacks, cereal, and the kids toiletries, and art supplies. Where else can you get a huge box of brand named cereal for under 3.00? I also love that they have lots of name brand organic snacks for half the supermarket price. I watch prices and I shop around. I also. I love that I can buy cheap bubble bath for the kids. I even bought all of my son’s camp toilettes this summer for under 10.00. Check out their office/art supplies, great prices. Nice employees, friendly, helpful, and they always remind me to use my Big Lots card so I can save money later.

The item i bought was priced wrong and there were about 11 people in line and one cashier having issues with her customer. they finally brought up one more cashier who couldn’t figure out her register. When I left there were about four employees outside smoking. Really unprofessional in my opinion.

If you need something cheap and fast, this is the place. Unlike Job Lot and Bldg 19, where they stock close-outs and excess inventory from other retailers, it appears that Big Lots simply finds the cheapest wholesalers out there and stocks all their cheap stuff. Nothing high quality here, and I couldn’t find anything American made. This branch is really close to my home, so I find myself coming here more often than I’d care to admit. Last week I had borrowed a friend’s motorcycle and found that the the glasses I was wearing were woefully inadequate for riding. My friend could have come home at any minute and found his bike missing, so time was of the essence. I stopped at Big Lots and found a rack of six dollar sunglasses just inside the door, so I grabbed a pair and in 60 seconds I was back on the bike, singing ZZ Tops«Cheap Sunglasses» as I rode off into the sunset. I would like to give Big Lots only one star and tell everyone to stay away because everything in here is made in China. I would like to tell everyone that it is their civic duty to buy American(it is!), and I would like to look down my nose at all the people shopping here and tell them how their money is contributing to child slavery and such, but I can’t do that because sometimes you need cheap sunglasses and you need them fast and if there’s a Big Lot’s nearby that’s just the kind of thing you can buy cheap and fast. I can’t say much about this store that would set it apart from the other Big Lots, except that the people at the register are always cheerful and friendly.
