Very clean, well merchandised, quick checkout, good available service in the aisles, and its a smaller store so the parking is easy and its far more likely to be quick in and out trip than Star Market or Stop & Shop. Prices are fair, competitive but not anything out of the ordinary. Their loyalty card is really weird, with these fake coins you get once in a while when you play this weird lottery type game at the checkout. Lord knows who came up with that. Anyway, here’s the key to this store… they have an organic, no-GMO, store brand(private label) that is GREAT — «Full Circle». Relatively inexpensive organic jellies, cereal(which is fantastic), condiments, etc. Also, their bakery dept. does these salted caramel cookies that are KILLER!!! Not sure I’d call Big Y «world class», but they’re pretty darn good.

I have been there a few times when I pass by. Sometimes just to grab some slices of their home made pizza. You can eat inside I’d you want. Overall their prices and selection is good. I did not get their card yet and that may help. Never passed their bakery without getting something.

I prefer the Big Y over S&S and Shaws for the butcher shop and Fish market. If I’m looking for steaks in the area, this is the best place. The store does lack natural foods and organic food selections.

Wow. Super clean, new setup and style. Friendly employees, Good prices. Better than Shaw’s across the street, what could be better. Plus, this location is NEVER as crowded as the Walpole location and it isn’t as larger, so I don’t have to walk as much! :) Yet, Walpole Big Y is better: At least 4 entrances, a Pharmacy, a larger and more pleasant Café, and a better Deli & Bakery, but this store is still 5-star-worthy.

You can get good deals with the silver card. Love, love, love, that there are more organic items since opening. Some deals on organic items are good there. But you have to know what you’re buying. Their own Full Circle brand is awesome! I’ve bought organic FC tea bags and organic FC cereals… so good.

Big Y is a great place and they have great buy one get one deals. This store deserves more stars than it does. The employees are fantastic and helpful. Big Y has a great selection and nice gluten free section! They also offer a «Little Y» which is where you can drop your kids off for I believe an hour or half hour? And have stress free shopping. I definitely recommend Big Y plus employees are nicer than most grocery stores.

Always enjoy shopping Big Y. The pizza is actually good considering it’s a supermarket. Love their meats too.

My fiancé ran in here today to grab a few things. The store was in shambles, shelves empty, aisles empty, an obvious re-merchandising. While checking out she inquired as to why they were empty. And got«well change is a good thing» as an answer. And was made to feel like she was being rude for asking. While change IS good, empty shelves and aisles on a Saturday is NEVER good. Not to mention it being Labor Day weekend. Also I had inquired about an item I purchased there many times that I could no longer find. I contacted the manufacturer who told me it’s up to the stores orderer. When I told them that they took my info, I’ve yet to get a call.

Great meat department. The bakery is first rate for a supermarket. It’s worth the drive across town if I’m grilling.

People are rude when you call and ask them questions. The store seems clean and well kept. I think they should better train some of their employees in customer service

I haven’t shopped there per se, but I think their prepared food is very good, especially the fried seafood. It’s restaurant quality at a very reasonable price. I had the haddock and chips and it was cooked perfectly and the portion was huge.

Too overpriced. Does Franklin really need 3 supermarkets? I’d rather go to the dump that is Market Basket and save dough than go to the nice clean store and get bent over at the register. The 1 positive is nobody ever seems to be there so if you don’t need much, it can be a quick in and out.

Not impressed. I was under the impression that Big Y was different than your typical Shaw’s or Stop and Shop, but I didn’t find much to be wowed about, other than a well-stocked and very reasonably priced floral department. Grocery selection was limited and prices don’t seem to be very competitive. I know they just opened a week ago and so I’m sure they are still working out the kinks, but goodness was the service slow! I was at the deli counter for 15 minutes; 10 of those were waiting for someone to help me despite the fact that there were four people working behind the counter and only three people waiting. Same thing at the meat counter — 4 people working and a good five minutes before my presence was acknowledged. I think I’ll stick with Shaw’s down the road.

Botto line, had my wife pick up some pork and some steak tips on a stick which the butcher rolled up from the meat case in paper, so this was stuff that they cut there on site and I assume supposed to be the premium meats. Pork had a thick vein running through the center and the steak was fatty and did not cook up well. Too tough. Sorry, first experience here not cool. I will sick to the other markets.
