Great coffee house, intimate setting, with sweet employees. Good strong coffee, definitely enjoyed my drink.

I mean, the best food compared to most coffee shops, I’ve yet to try anything I didn’t like. It all tastes fresh and delicious. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are all amazing. The best part about dinner is you get a server. The people work here are all friendly, I never have had any issue with this company, keep it up!

Frothy monkey is probably mistakenly called«funky monkey» 100 times a day. We had heard that it was a nice spot where we could grab a drink and relax in Franklin. When we asked for directions, we were told we could«make a left at the Starbucks.» We loved the irony of that. The staff was friendly. There were plenty of spaces to sit.

Food is good, the place is cute, fun feel to it. The whole family likes it. The bellinis are nice for a brunch treat.

We had a Sadie salad, Royale sandwich, and Grilled Chicken. The Royale was probably the biggest disappointment, not nearly as good as nearby places in Franklin. The grilled chicken was actually pretty good. The salad was fresh, but not exactly memorable. The biggest problem is the consistently poor service. We ordered the hummus, and it took a full 30 minutes for it to arrive, just five minutes ahead of our entrées. This is our third time here, and likely the last time we’ll eat here.

This is not just a great coffee shop. The food is really tasty, as well. Everyone is super friendly.

Perfect little coffee shop to absolutely anything you may need to get done. There’s plenty of seating downstairs, upstairs and on the patio. This place is definitely what you call hipster. Street parking can be a challenge on a busy day luckily we came in on a Sunday afternoon. Ordered a hazelnut latte which was perfect, temp coulda been a little hotter. Boyfriend order a chai latte also very good.

The coffee here was more like 4 stars, but the food brought it down. My friends and I were staying in Franklin and everyone said we had to try the Frothy Monkey. The place is apparently a local chain, but this location was very cute. It was in an old house of sorts that was spacious and had a large front porch. You order at the counter and they bring out your food. I had a honey rosemary latte which was, as you can imagine, pretty awesome and different than your typical coffee. I liked that it had a light herbal flavor, but you could still taste the coffee. The food, on the other hand, was somewhat disappointing. I had the plain jane egg sandwich, add bacon. It came out missing the cheese. I went and got some cheese and put it on, but it wasn’t the same as having melty cheese on an egg sandwich. The eggs were cooked correctly, but the overall sandwich wasn’t very flavorful. I guess I should have guess from the name, but it was like something I could easily make at home. Anyway, I would go back for coffee, but maybe skip the food.

This was one of my favorite spots in the area to visit. The menu is creative, unique, and the food & coffee were delicious. If I lived in this area, I would be a frequent flier here. The staff was friendly and patient despite how busy they were. The food was prepared also very quickly. I will definitely visit every time I’m in town.

San Francisco prices, Franklin vibe, Smyrna service. … and beans from St. Louis?! Okay. There is a chalkboard, and a man with a mustache. But… the barista was confused when I asked for espresso grind, had to ask for help from another guy, who had never heard of an Aeropress. My drink wasn’t bad.

Excellent iced coffee. Loved the California: two fried eggs that were cooked perfectly runny on top of chewy sourdough. Sprouts, avocado and homemade salsa were served on the side. Sat outside on their awesomely huge covered patio and there was a nice breeze on a hot day. Can’t wait to come back on our next trip to Franklin!

We LOVE this Frothy… my wife and I live in the Gulch but we still make the journey out to this location whenever possible. The upstairs area is perfect for studying, working or catching up with a friend. The food is INCREDIBLE! And of course the coffee and tea is great. The staff is always friendly and, even though it’s always busy, I have never felt ignored by the staff. Great place!

Came here with 5 mins till closing time. Their«salad architect» is a life saver in a state where a good salad is harder to find than good song on the radio. Place is definitely chill. The vibe is chill and also the food is very very chill. Staff told me where to go pee which was a righteous move since I had to pee. Once relieved, I was able to become fully nourished and I cherished my moments at the monkey. Love this place. Very chill.

This place is great! Highly highly recommend the event space for smaller events or parties! The food and espresso drinks are really good, but what really sets them apart, are the people. They always remember my name and coffee. Seems super home-y. Reliable wifi, awesome covered outdoor and back patio space for working. Especially if you want to get away from noisy busy downstairs. I will say as well, we rented their upstairs space and it was perfect. They had the room looking very snazzy, you can plug you phone up and play music or present on their projector. — really want to stress how they went the extra mile to accommodate our group of 55!

So I’ve been here a couple times now, and while I usually like hiding away in lesser known coffee spots, I think the food and service make up for the anomaly. First of all, for those who seem to complain about the service… I don’t know if the fact that everything is being made to order in a /small/kitchen and coffee space is taken into account for timeliness. Most places this size would rather give you your food the moment it is made rather than stick it under a heating lamp(if they even have space for one…). From my personal experiences(and expecting many more!) they are very friendly, know their coffees well enough that when I give them a point blank«Recommend me something» they do not freak out but siphon down customer preferences to a suitable option and are super friendly and fine someone turning a corner into their personal portable office(which on a snowy day is a relief since I know anyone who doesn’t like cabin fever can attest to the value of a universally welcoming atmosphere). Coffee wise… I’ve only had their hazelnut white mocha(with half sugar… which I actually can say at that was a perfect blend of sweet and coffee bite) and a few cortados, which come served at the perfect temperature. Tea I’ve had their Fireside which was a true to it’s name toe-warming experience for a nice«hearty» tea. And food wise I’ve had the Buck, which was nice. Could have been a little warmer but hey, when you can have such great service and wholesome midday snack with your portable work day… who can really complain? I know they also seem to have a lot of events throughout the year, so definitely a nice location with things to do if just enjoying food and coffee isn’t your thing. They apparently also have a really good breakfast, but I haven’t had the luxury to put that to the test.

This spot has LOTS of tables and chairs and rooms and spaces to work. It’s a good thing because half of Franklin is here. They must have delicious egg, mouth-watering bacon, and saliva-generating syrup air fresheners in here. Actually, it’s the great food, and it’s all around me and I can’t resist and I need to go order something or I will go crazy! By the way, the servers have been so accommodating. The music is at a good level, not distracting. The people noise level is typical for a really busy place.

You could almost miss that there is a house right off Main Street next to the old Presbyterian church in Downtown Franklin. This Frothy Monkey location has a great porch and cozy yet spacious interior. I had time to kill while downtown and decided my jet lag needed a caffeine kick. The staff was friendly and helpful when we stared indecisively at the menu(see also: jet lag). The espresso-based drinks were just right. Bonus points because they have the real almond milk, not the sugar-added stuff so many coffee shops stock. There’s a cute fireplace and the place was well decorated for the holidays. The rustic furnishings are charming and fit well with the style of the house.

The gentleman that took our order was friendly and answered our questions. I ended up ordering the White Monkey Mocha which is a White Chocolate Mocha with a hint of banana… sounds odd but it’s SSSOOOO delish! This also went perfectly with my banana bread from Noi’s. Since this was my first time, I didn’t know they a large variety of desserts. This is good to know for the next time. :) They had a nice wrap-around patio with plenty of seating as well as plenty of seating inside.
