This is a great little coffee house. The crepes are delicious! For breakfast, My favorites are the strawberry fields or the Jerry Lewis crêpe. The coffee is great too! They are almost 5 stars but they seem to be under staffed so on a really busy Saturday morning it can take a while to get your order. So it’s better to get there before 9AM. I am never disappointed in the crepes and coffee though!

What a charming spot! We loved the adaptive reuse of an old house into a coffee shop. The former use allows for a number of different seating areas such that you don’t feel like you’re in a bustling spot, even when in fact you are. The coffee was solid and so was our chess pie. We’ll stop in whenever we’re in Franklin!

STAFF — I wish I would have gotten the«barista’s» name. She was so helpful, friendly and inviting! FOOD — WOW. So I got the chicken salad which comes highly recommended. I chose a sesame seed bagel lightly toasted, and add tomato & spinach, divine. Also came with chips, slaw, and pickles. Seriously all of it was so so good. I feel like it was pretty affordable too! SEATING — so there are several rooms you can choose from and all are cozy & functional. We chose the front room bc it’s brighter with all the windows! Also drafty :) this room had a bring your own record station to bring a record and play it — awesome idea!!! VIBE — super laid back! Country music over the speakers and a great place to catch up/deep convos with close friends. PARKING — easy peasy. Wherever you want basically. I parked on the street and came in their back entrance. OTHER — first we had a camera crew come in and take pics of a few girls, interesting and hard to focus on our convo sitting right next to the photographers staging their peeps. THEN a large group of teens came to hang which was loud & also hard to focus on our intimate convo. It’s the spot! Saturday afternoon around 3:30pm… *HIGHLYRECOMMEND* I look forward to trying one of their coffee drinks and also potentially one of the highly recommended crepes!

I would give one star if I were rating the coffee alone, it was awful. There were two of us and we each had a specialty coffee, a mocha, and a Christmas special still on the menu(can’t remember exact name, but basically a mocha with peppermint added). Neither was tasty, they were very watered down. The staff was nice, the building and room décor was interesting, we liked the music, and parking was not terrible. Again, the coffee alone will keep us away — and the food was mediocre. It also took a reallllly long time to be served, and then we got our food way ahead of the coffee. I think we ordered the Eye Opener(it was just ok) and the bagel with egg, cheese and ham(nothing special, but no complaints). I took a homemade chocolate chip muffin to go and was told it was fabulous. Bottom line: a coffee house should have good coffee! Our family will stick with Frothy Monkey for now.

Great option for a gluten free breakfast. The GF crepes are tasty and there’s a wide selection to choose from. Tried both the spicy chicken and the PB&J. The coffee was good, but we only had flavored drip, which I don’t feel is a great benchmark. Fun atmosphere, too. Really enjoyed the local art work.

I love the location — it is in a small old house and each room is decorated really cute. The drinks are pretty good and I love their crepes. I wasn’t a huge fan of their pastries but I haven’t had all of them so I’m sure some are better than others. Prepare to spend a bit of time there, though. Service is pretty slow and when they are busy it is even worse.

We’ve eaten here multiple times and multiple times it has been superb. The food is delicious and a great place to bring the kids because of the extra play room. But today, for some reason, our experience was a colossal fail. From taking forever, to screwing up our order THREE times, it was a horrible experience, especially with small children.

Still loving this locally owned joint. Come here, instead of that other place with the green logo on their cups.

The coffee is really good. The«Franklin Hot Chicken» Crêpe was not good. The savory crêpe was the same crêpe they use for breakfast crepes which is sweet. The chicken was lunch meat and there was NO heat to it, as if they accidentally forgot to put the seasoning on the lunch meat. The house is really cool. Although the floors are loud pinewood and the heater must be in a different room. Ambience is pleasing to any seasoned young hipster, and the choice of music is very coffeehouse.

I have been here a few times and it was just ok in my opinion. Not terrible, but certainly not the best. However, today was a first for me. I went with my husband for lunch and we ordered the Chicken, Pecan, and Provolone salads. Pretty basic lunch menu item… how could it go wrong? It came out with SLICEDDELIMEATCHICKEN… and NO cheese. Seriously? Who the hell puts deli meat on a $ 9 salad? On top of the fact they forgot the provolone cheese(which, surprise, was also sliced deli cheese). Apparently they didn’t even notice it was missing and I had to get up and go ask for it. They were not rude, but that is pure negligence for a half empty place that wasn’t busy at 2pm on a Tuesday.

Just ok. I really wanted it like it and support another locally owned business. Their coffee and lattes are not good. I don’t know how to explain them other than the drinks are not good. The building itself is cool as each room has a different theme. I did not try the good so I can’t offer an opinion in they regard. The server was friendly so I’ll probably give it another shot.

Charming environment, yummy(extremely reasonably priced) food, and quick Saturday lunch service! Split a Nutella crêpe and grilled cheese with tea and freshly squeezed lemonade(free refills are a simple but nice touch too)! We ate outside but took a sneak peak inside and found the music room. I can totally see myself hanging there with records galore while my husband studies. Great location too! Snug right in between many excellent antique shops!

This was a nice break from antique shopping. I liked the local feeling, atmosphere, and friendliness of the staff. My hot ham and cheese sandwich was alright but nothing special. My wife’s crêpe, on the other hand, was very, very good.

Not a fan! Their coffee is mediocre. I ordered the hot chicken crêpe thinking it would be made with real chicken/pulled chicken and it was lunch meat. I’ve been back three times keep trying to like it but it just keeps falling short. Save your money and go to Honest Coffee Roasters!

If you love crepes and coffee this place has you covered! I went here with a group after a bike ride, and we had a great post ride brunch. They have great coffee drinks, including lattes and cappuccinos(made with almond and/or soy milk instead of dairy milk if you prefer). They also have an assortment of teas, like chai. My husband and I got one savory and one sweet crêpe so we could split and share. The veggie and cheese crêpe was delicious, and came with a side of mixed greens. The classic strawberry crêpe had strawberries and Nutella — yummy! Prices were VERY reasonable, our total bill was right at $ 20 for the 2 crepes and 2 coffee drinks! The others in our group had a smattering of other types of crepes, and also a chicken salad that looked divine — mixed greens piled high with a luscious chicken salad. The place itself is located in an old house in downtown Franklin, with cozy rooms you can lounge in and read or talk. They had some tables outside too, with big umbrellas to provide nice shade — we sat outside. It’s off the main road, on Second and Bridge streets. Final note — the crepes were made perfectly! They were light and thin but held together well, pliable but not gummy, with a delicious flavor themselves even without the filling.

I stopped by because I was looking for something different. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the freshly baked blueberry muffin. I travel quite a lot and I always look for the less than obvious place. I recommend for the quiet place to work on your laptop or meet friends

My favorite coffee & lunch place in downtown Franklin. A huge plus… they have a reading/play room for kids so you can relax by yourself or with friends while your kids are occupied.

My family of four(2 adults, 2 teenagers) visited Coffee House as a Labor Day breakfast treat outing. My favorite aspect of the Coffee House was the space. Several rooms each with a slightly different vibe, including books, artwork, and some unique chairs. Seems like a great place to hide and relax. Although my daughter noted the music was a bit too loud and not to her taste, I found the music no louder than Starbucks and simply what I would describe as an upbeat play list.(I would point out that my daughter is not a morning person.) I’m not the world’s most discriminating coffee consumer(Starbucks is just fine with me), but I thought the coffee was fine.(Soy latte.) On it’s own, the coffee would make me neither return to or avoid Coffee House. We all ordered crepes. I had the«Eye Opener» which contained hot chicken. Wife and daughter each had strawberry crêpe. Son had cinnamon roll crêpe. These were okay, and I would only describe my crêpe as containing semi-spicy chicken – not as containing Hot Chicken, as there was no crunch. Not great, probably not worth exactly what they cost, but probably a lot better than what I could come up with at home with a reasonable amount of effort, so, overall a slightly positive factor. The only negative here was that the service/order flow seemed slow. Between the 4 of us, we had 4 crêpe orders and 3 coffee drinks. The coffee drinks came out one at a time at about the same pace as if I were making them at home using a low-end retail espresso machine and blender. It seemed to take a while for the crepes to come out, but I didn’t time them, and maybe I was just hungry. Maybe it was about as long as you would wait for food at a full service restaurant. Overall, I’d say that Frothy Monkey on the other side of downtown Franklin does a better job on the restaurant side of things. But this place has potential. I definitely expect to return, and because crepes are sort of a special treat in the area, it’s the kind of place I’d probably take someone from out-of-town.
