Really cute place! I went with a group of people but I could definitely see it as a «date» place. I ordered the Margherita pizza and had them add chicken. It was delicious! I enjoyed the wines but due to the small selection I’m giving them 4 stars.

I really wanted to like this place. I was really hoping to find a cool wine bar to hang out every now and then. The wine selection is OK but is dispensed from an automated system which in my opinion cheapens the experience and removes the opportunity to talk with the bartender about the different wines. The space– could be so cool but instead it feels disconnected and random and the seating is uncomfortable. The food is average but pricey.

Wish there was more of a wine selection. The food is awesome which is why I’m giving a 3 star review. The wait staff could have been more pleasant. Took forever to find someone to take our order. I will give it another shot soon to see if they can change my mind.

JJ’s is a perfect place to meet up with friends for a laid back, wine lover’s atmosphere! When you arrive, you present your ID and payment method, then receive a numbered card. That card is what you will use at the wine tasting machines to sample at will, and add bites if you choose. Happy Hour is 4−6pm, and their nibbles are half off! I recommend the hummus. Buffalo chicken dip is great too. Large portions for sharing. Outside of happy hour, the food prices feel a little steep for what you get. They have a few rooms you can even reserve for FREE ahead of time for a group. I did this for a girls’ Happy Hour and it was so nice. Free space like that is hard to come by. I’m loving their new arrangement in what used to be an old house. The women’s restroom is huge and luxe, love it!

Wow the prices are WAYHIGH. $ 2-$ 6TOTASTE! No less than $ 9 for a glass(5 oz). After a few tastes and a 2 glasses, we walked out spending $ 35. Cool concept. I do enjoy the house and being able to play board games or sit in a quiet room but I can’t imagine returning at those prices regardless of how cool the concept. Oh and the happy hour is a whopping 10% off.

Loved this place! Such a cool concept and the environment was really relaxing on a Saturday afternoon. We also had the meat and cheese plate which paired nicely with the wine. I also loved that the receipt had all the wines we tried so we could remember them later. We will definitely be back!

Experience was great. My boyfriend and I went in just to have a date night. I wanted to make sure we got a great seat so I made a reservation. Although we wanted to sit outside it is first come first serve for patio seating, luckily we got the last outside seating available. The wines were great, like it said in all the other reviews it’s serve yourself wine. Not a lot of wines but enough for you to have a variety. Food was decent a lot for a cheese platter which it was we got. The servers were great, everyone’s very friendly.

Smaller selection of wine and not, in my opinion, the best selection. VERYEXPENSIVE!!!

This was such a fun and quaint wine bar to enjoy with my husband while visiting Franklin, Tennessee. The wine selection is small but good. The tasting allows for you to try something different that you may have been hesitant to try before because of the cost. Newbies to the wine bar may be intimidated, but the staff was nice and welcoming and ready to explain how the whole method worked. Having some knowledge of wine is helpful but not NEEDED. They had the option of taste: 1.5 oz; half glass: 5oz; and full glass: 7oz. The prices vary based on the type and age of the wine. They had a port special while were there, but we did not partake in it. They have party rooms and a few tables on the porch to enjoy the sounds and scenes of downtown Franklin. It was a warm night but the celling fans made it just fine for an enjoyable evening on the porch after moving outside from the main bar. You can get cocktails and other wines not in the wine bar selection at the bar. The waiters are not specifically assigned, it seemed, and both the wait staff we had were great at getting us refills of water or bar drinks.

Such a local gem! This is the epitome of a perfect date night, super quaint! Not only was the ambiance amazing, but the people working there were equally awesome. We will definitely be back.

This has been a favorite of ours since it opened. Great ambiance, wine selection and the food is always just the right portion to accompany the food. We’ve hosted parties for groups here, brought other couples or have just enjoyed the place ourselves. However many people you have with you, JJ’s has the perfect nook to make you feel comfy. If you’re in the area, make it your 1st stop as you get ready to walk around town in the evening. D

The food was a three(we had a meat and cheese plate), the service was a four, the wine selection was a 2. I love the concept and the atmosphere a great deal. It being a wine bar says they should have a much stronger vino presence than they do. The Unilocal 5 star system kinda fails me on this one. Really need half star and 10 stars to work with guys! Either way… this is one I will visit again in hopes the wine starts to match everything else.

the coolest wine bar I’ve ever been to! discovered this on a trip to Franklin, and I can’t say enough about the staff. our waiter(anthony I think) went out of his way to check on us and make us feel welcome, and gave us tons of suggestions for things to do around Nashville. and where else can you go and dispense your own wine(in taste, half glass, and full glass sizes)?! a must visit!

JJ’s has been one of two favorite drink spots for a long time, and recently we’ve been there more often because the new menu has really caught our attention. A few recommendations — the truffled cashews, the caprese salad, and definitely the fondue! If you’ve never been to this type of place before, the self-service wine stations are a lot of fun. Probably 30+ wines you can try by the glass(taste, half, or full) — and a great variety of white and red. Plus there is a full bar(beer, spirits, etc.).

This place is a hidden treasure! It is perfect for any occasion whether you are going out with a group of girlfriends or need to escape for a bit of peace and quiet with a glass of red! I like to create a wine-tasting for myself, sampling 3 – 4 reds, and split a cheese platter with a close friend! I can’t wait to sit on the porch this Spring and indulge!

How did it take me so long to visit here? I honestly can’t say. Attended a Women ‘n Wine mixer event here, and I really like the feel of the place. I am not a huge wine drinker, but when they point you to the whole room of whites, and you can read about each one before you decide, and then choose either a tasting or half glass as options… that makes things much better for newbies like me. I love the old house and all it’s creaks and crevices… really nice atmosphere. The servers and roaming staff were also very nice and helpful to those of us who forgot our reading glasses and have trouble figuring out the machine the first time… hooray for your 40’s! Great place to meet up with a friend and catch up, great place just to enjoy a glass or two and read through a report or just hang out. Maybe substitute one visit to your favorite coffee house and give the grapes a try.

JJ’s wine bar is a cool concept which I totally loved. You get your own tab when you get there and you basically can go through several rooms which have various seating options. One room has a bar/bartender and others a variety of wine options which get dispensed from machines. Again, the concept and atmosphere was really cool and I wish we had something like this in my area! You can eat a meal but we just had a small app with our wine while hanging out. I highly recommend JJ’s!

The concept is cool. The atmosphere is neat. It’s priced a little high, but almost all wine in restaurants is. The food is a bit expensive and you don’t get a lot for the price. However, you’re not really paying for the food and wine as much as a night out with friends or your significant other in the downtown Franklin area. For that, it’s worth the extra money. I’m glad JJ’s is around. It’s not somewhere I plan on going weekly, but on the rare occasion my husband and I go out on a real date(vs going to Home Depot), it’s a fun treat.

This place has a really nice ambiance. It looked like it drew in a crowd around the age of 40s/50s so it was really laid back. You open a tab with a card when you arrive and choose wines from the dispensary. You can select a taste, half a glass, or full glass. The tastes can range from 1.50−9.00(for the super expensive wines around $ 90 a bottle). The tastes I think were around 3 oz, which was plenty for me since I wanted to try as many wines as possible. We ordered the hummus and it was seriously the best hummus I have ever had! The reason I am not giving this place 5 stars is because I would love to see more wine selections. I think there were about 10 to choose from the dispensary. I like that this place is affordable. And your tab is shown on the dispensary machine when the card is inserted which is wonderful. No surprises when you pay your tab at the register. You gotta check it out. Great for a double date night.

Loved it… great location, cozy and would be a great hang out spot. We had the smoked salmon app. It was pretty good. Here’s the breakdown: taste ~$ 2 half ~$ 4⁄5 full ~$ 8 – 13 Smoke salmon app $ 13
