Great sports bar. The food and service are reliably good every time we go. Lots of menu options. The sweet potato fries are amazing!

We have stopped here three times on our travels. The food is good, not anything special, but good after a long day of driving. Unfortunately the service two out of three times completely lacked friendliness or attentiveness. Other places in Franklin are far friendlier and the food is much better. We are done with giving this place another chance — indifferent service anywhere is bad, in the south is totally one unsubtle!

We eat at Jonathan’s of cool springs and spring hill on a regular basis. We asked tonight that the pizza be cut square as it use to be simply because it tastes better in my opinion. The floor manager did not want to remake the pizza simply offered a discount be the the pizza was cut the new way in slices. Please go back to your old way that worked so many years and made your pizzas great.

We had some French Dip, Tara’s chicken wings and Taco salad. They were all good. We’ll definitely come back :).

Great food and great specials make you want to keep coming back. Staff is very attentive, been here several times and all were very solid. Recommended for out of towners and groups looking for good atmosphere or to watch the game…

Potato chowder — very good Buffalo chicken soup — if you like buffalo chicken A LOT you might like this. I’ll skip it! French onion soup — salty. I like salty. But it was a little much. Prime rib — alright. Not Great. Shrimp cocktail — very good! Salad — good buts needs onion and croutons. Prime sandwich — just OK. French dip — it’s good.

Pleasantly surprised with the food after reading previous reviews wasn’t sure what to expect. Nice mixture between bar food and healthy food. The fish and chips were perfect not to greasy and perfect golden crust. If your in the mood for a salad there are several to choose from and portions are quite large. The acoustics are the only issue I have with the place as it is very difficult to talk to people even when the place isn’t busy.

Worst service I’ve ever had. Walked in the restaurant and the host was rude. I asked for a both and the host said they were for larger parties even though the restaurant was practically dead. Then I asked our waitress and she said the same thing. After taking our order I checked out the restroom and it was the grossest thing I’ve ever see. Take my word and go somewhere else. We will not visit here again.

This is a great place to hang out! There are several TVs to watch your favorite sports. They have different happy hour specials every day. I started with a French Martini and the Bam Bam Shrimp. The shrimp wasn’t very spicy but it was good. My husband and I were in the mood for a great burger and that’s what brought us here through our internet searches. He ordered the bison burger and I ordered the bistro burger. My burger was topped with pepper-jack cheese, bacon, onion rings, and spicy ranch and served with fries. It was a chef specialty and I like trying those dishes. The burger was delicious and I like how crispy the fries were. Our server, Heidi, checked on us often. The service was great. I was surprised how quickly the food arrived to our table. This may become a regular hangout for us.

Visited with my son-in-law on a Sunday planning to watch a specific NFL game on one of the 40+ TVs in the sports bar. When we arrived the parking lot was filled nearly to capacity, but the crowd(probably watching the Titans game) began to thin as we waited about 5 minutes for a table.(Ours was a late afternoon game.) Before we knew it, the place emptied out. Oops #1…acoustics are horrible. One game blared out, drowning out most conversation.(With so many TVs showing so many different games, why not some ambient music since the broadcast dialogue we could hear did not apply to more than 2⁄3 of the TVs in our room?) Oops #2…no sampler or flight for the fair number of brews on the menu. However, they will allow you to try any you care to with a small sample glass. Oops #3…The first beer I ordered from the draft list… they did not have!(I was fairly undecided at this point because the remainder of the brews were some I had tried before or strong IPAs I wasn’t interested in this day.) They do have a decent selection of bottled beers as well. Point to the«good.» It does get better with attentive, friendly wait staff and some good food. Ordered apps to share during the game. Buffalo Chicken Dip with tortilla chips was flavorful and a decent size. Soft Pretzels were excellent; the Queso dip is apparently house-made but just so-so; viscosity is fine, but tastes like white Velveeta. We spiced it up with some Cholula sauce and turned out pretty good. Salads, salads, salads… more than one might expect. Also burgers, sandwiches, and entrees that appeared nicely presented(at adjoining tables). Higher marks could be earned with better acoustics and a little broader draft selection. Perhaps more micros and fewer big brewery commons. All-in-all still A-ok, especially since Sunday afternoon was 2 for 1 drinks. Nice surprise, Jonathans.

Last night I left a review for a very disappointing experience at a different place… only because it received more stars than here… I think everyone has it wrong!!! I had such a great experience here and the food was really good! I am in town on business and am so tired that I don’t venture far from the hotel. This restaurant is right behind the Aloft. I placed a «to-go» order at the bar and had a drink while I waited. The bartender was attentive and appreciative of the tip left. The beer was 2 for one which is great! I ordered the chicken caesar to go and was shocked to find the chicken was placed on parchment paper to not make the lettuce soggy! The bread and dressing were put in separate containers each to not soak the lettuce or for the bread to not soak up the moisture. The to-go utensils were sturdy and did not break when you look at them! The food was very tasty! The only complaint was that the music was so loud the bartenders had a hard time hearing your order, which resulted in either screaming at each other or the customer leaning over the bar to get closer to the bartender. The bartenders all apologized when they couldn’t hear you which again shows they are all about service! Great job to them!!!

I was going to eat here until I noticed the no firearms allowed sign. Why are business so ignorant? All they succeed in doing I stopping law abiding concealed carry patrons from entering. Criminal do not care about that sign or wishes. Just ask Sonic.

****** update******* Had probably my last lunch here today. Food was fine however the server was argumentative, slammed drinks on the table, and then disappeared and we had to request our check from another server. At that point our server argued about splitting our check even though we have done that dozens of times. Finally it was done but not without sarcasm and talking down to us as if we were stupid. Over Jonathan’s. It seems all they do is hire teenagers who have no idea how to provide good customer service. My office typically comes in here on Tuesdays for the buy one get one pizza deal. We typically all get it for about 6bucks each. I recommend the nacho and chicken Alfredo pizzas. The Cajun pepperoni was the most disappointing but still even a meh pizza is still pizza. The only reason I didn’t give this a five star rating is the service is almost always terrible. It’s always a woman who has the personality of wet cardboard waiting on us and half the time we run out of drinks. I have had much better service at the Jonathan’s in Mount Juliet as well as Bellevue.

Disclaimer: Jonathan’s is directly behind the hotel l’m staying in(ALoft Hotel), so this review is SOLELY on the food and lightning fast delivery. Regarding delivery– they do charge a $ 4 delivery fee on all orders(and dont take cash), but it’s worth it to this exhausted traveler. And they’ll take your order right up to your room, which is great. I ordered the Avocado Club sandwich which was quite possibly one of the best sandwiches l’ve EVER had– You’d never think to combine fresh avocado with pesto mayo on a chicken sandwich, but it absolutely works. Throw it all on fresh cranberry walnut bread and they’ve created a near perfect sandwich. I should also mention that the meal was served with all the right condiments, and sturdy(NOT cheap) plasticware. If you’re ever in the area(or staying at ALoft), l definitely suggest trying this place!

They’re close to a bunch of hotels, and appear to do a good business with locals as well. This is the 2nd trip that I have visited them on, and on both occasions I have found them: busy, easy to get a seat at the large bar, less than warm and friendly, and a bit mediocre in the food department. I’m puzzled about what the draw is for locals, except for the fact that in seems to be a bit of a pickup spot for those early to middled aged Franklin divorced folks. It’s amusing to watch the«action,» pretty funny.

I’ve been to this place a few times now and every time the service has been great. They are very quick with the drinks and the food, so you don’t have to wait for a super long time, even on busy nights. The menu is rather extensive so there are a lot of options to choose from. I must admit that I absolutely love their deep fried pickles! I’ve been looking all over for a restaurant that serves deep fried pickle spears instead of the chips, and I’m so happy that this place does. They also have a lot of specials and happy hour every night, so there are always a bunch of drink specials to choose from. Can’t wait to go back!

How do you call your self a sports bar and you do not even have the biggest soccer game of the year on? This place is a joke… call it Jonathan’s pretentious gathering of chumps — not a sports bar.

I don’t ask for much when I go to Tennessee… I just want to experience 2 for 1 drinks once again, which is a thing you can easily accomplish here with beer. And so that is what we did on the night declared for«suburban adventures.» To go with all that beer, we had their spinach and artichoke dip. It wasn’t terrible, but it was sort of like as time went on «I’m just eating this because I’m drinking.» This definitely isn’t the sort of place I’d typically find myself. I like sports, I like bars, so clearly I like sports bars, but from where we were sitting it was kind of difficult to see the TV that had hockey on so we turned to watching on the phone haha. But it did what we went there for, a drink deal and just a spot to hang out. It was kind of loud, but that’s kind of to be expected in a bar on a Friday night after all.

Went there earlier this week for a work lunch. While it is first and foremost a sports bar – which I LOVE how well they spread out the TVs to allow coverage of almost every station at any point within the building – needs to work on it’s service a bit. The server seemed to be avoiding our 6-top a bit after the initial drink orders and appetizers were put into place. And while it’s not necessarily the server’s fault for order of food coming out to the table, it looks a bit strange that a medium rare steak took about 10 – 15 minutes after the rest of the food to come out when compared to the other orders would be expected to take the least amount of time to make. Ordered a medium well bison burger that came after much waiting very dry… it still had the colors expected within the patty for medium well so I can only assume that the grille either was too hot or it was left under a heating lamp long enough to dry it out. The appetizers were fine and flavorful(chips + queso, fired pickles, and 10 bam bam in bone wings). I do want to come back and check it out during a game in a true sports bar fashion, but so far on a dining aspect this place has me at neutral.

At the risk of losing my foodie cred, this place needs a little love. So, Jonathan’s Grille is a sports bar. I went here with dudes. The many TV’s showcased our options to attention-disorder swap discussions from the wide plethora of subjects as long as they involved balls, hoops, drafts, or finals. But it was a work outing and I was a good soldier and ordered a salad. In fact, I was torn between salad options. For a sports bar I swear half the front menu was salads — chopped salads, tossed salads, minimal dressing or swimming specialty salads. Surprising. Jonathan’s also has sports bar service. Not bad, just young crew on the noon shift mildly overworked getting back to college later, probably. Pleasant, effecient, really a fine exchange of needs and needs — meeting. Then comes the salad. I can’t speak for the greasy freezer — bag looking mozzarella bites chosen down the table from me, or for the good-looking french dips and decent — looking fries, but I chose the super foods kale salad. This salad is so stupid good I was sad how big the portion was that I couldn’t adequately shovel all the tiny bits into my mouth before it would have been impolite to make the others wait. The dressing was beyond tactful — not a syrupy mess or a bland concoction. The candied pecans are not to be mistaken for your failed attempts of burned sugar caked nuts on the stovetop, they are coated in cinnamon — again, tactfully and deliciously. The cranberries are delightfully additive — neither tart nor sugary. I’m not kidding, I went immediately online to try to recreate this salad. I am proud of my cooking and know my veggies, but my attempt was poor at duplicating this yum fest. I don’t even care if this all came from a bag produced way outside state borders, it tasted stupid awesome good. So: moral of the story. If you need an option to maintain food snobbery and play to a group of bar dudes, hit this place and check out the salads. Yes, salads.
