I was out on the town with my niece having a «girl’s day». We arrived early and entered the side door. Upon entering we were warmly greeted and escorted to an inviting modern dining room, The service was very good and quick. I ordered the crab cake salad which was a visual disappointment but actually tasted alright. There were three small dark brown crab cakes on a huge bed of spring mix. It paled in appearance to the yummy looking plate that my niece received with her chicken salad(with big grapes) ensconced on a bed of greens. I was definitely«out ordered», We both ordered dessert which was good. This is definitely a great place for a «ladies lunch» but it is pricey for a regular lunch spot.

I’m really curious why this place has been rated so low. It was priced fine(my breakfast sandwich was $ 6). If you are coming for breakfast(from my visit) it is five stars. Our family of five had silver dollar pancakes for kids(slightly sweet and cooked perfectly), I had a pumpkin muffin which was okay but my wife’s carrot raisin was moist and amazing. We also had two great omelettes(southwest added seasoned chicken) and an energy omelette which was very large. Service was quick, attentive and always kept our coffee cups full. Great atmosphere for the family. We will be back!

Overly priced, mediocre food with poor service. I’ve been her numerous times and have yet to have a wow moment. The servers often seem woefully inexperienced or just disinterested in providing good service. Given the prices, they set an expectation for higher service. The bakery is nice but the menu items on the lunch menu are nothing special.

I gave this place two tries. Once I went for breakfast with a co worker and I didn’t like it at all. I had heard their cookies are awesome and pastries and all that are great so I got cookies for work and they were as hard as a rock by day 2 and no particular taste. The cookies were SO expensive and I just can’t pay that kind of money for anything much less cookies.

Good food, a bit overpriced perhaps but its franklin so… thats to be expected. I definitely had the best cookie ive ever had… the chocolate chunk. It was excellent. The parking can be a nightmare at lunch time so get there early or push lunch late.

Not great. The food is mediocre and overpriced. I’ve tried the chicken salad which was $ 10 for chicken and mayo on what looked to be typical grocery store white bread. The salad had no seasoning or add ins that explained the cost. Another time I got a cookie and a blueberry muffin…1 blueberry in the entire muffin and it tasted like the same boxed mix I would get from Publix. Cookie wasn’t good either. I won’t be returning.

I went to this Puffy Muffin location for a Bridal Shower. I have not been to Puffy Muffin in years! I skipped the fruit tea this time, but I remember it used to be my go-to fave. I ordered the Black Bean Salad which was normally served with chicken but I decided to sub the chicken for a scoop of pimento cheese and tuna salad. The dressing was delicious and the salad tasted very fresh. I have no idea how much it cost, but it was very tasty. I plan on going back for that salad. The service was very attentive and friendly.

I have tried a few different menu items, but the only dish that I have liked was the taco salad. They seem a bit overpriced to me as well.

Meh. The selection was good. I ordered grapefruit juice, asked if it was fresh squeezed and told no. I was told it was tropicana ruby red which I like. Instead it was an ocean spray juice cocktail. Yuck. I also ordered the crab cakes Benedict which I was assured was excellent. Seemed like a couple premade frozen patties. The eggs were cooked correctly. The cappuccino I ordered was nice looking but burnt. Was really hoping for a little better given the location and décor.

I’m happy to say the restaurant has ironed out all of the kinks. I’ve been back a number of times since my last review. The service has been excellent. The food is consistent and quite good. Their fruit tea is excellent. They also have a great selection of pre-made salads and sandwiches available in the bakery area if you’re in a hurry. They’re cakes, pastries, and cookies are all phenomenal! I like to try a different kind of Danish every time I come for breakfast. I highly recommend the Chocolate Chunk and Molasses cookies. The cakes are where they really shine! We had the bakery create a Toy Story themed cake for our son’s 2nd birthday. While we had to supply the figurines ourselves due to licensing, the layout and decoration of the cake was absolutely top notch! I can also recommend their Boston cream pie cake. If you haven’t had a cake from here I highly recommend that you try one!

Stop by here for breakfast. I got the pancake plate. The pancakes were puffy and moist. The food is good. I also had a latte. The latte needed a little more flavor. It just tasted water down. Thy gave delicious cakes. If you are in the area and want to try something different besides ihop. I would recommend this place

Enjoyed our first time dining at Puffy Muffin! French toast was very yummy and eggs Benedict were good– nothing special but not bad. Enjoyed the atmosphere and the added treat of a walk up counter bakery on the way out! We will add this to our list for breakfast places to visit again.

The mint hot chocolate tasted nothing like mint hot chocolate and the pre-made chicken salad sandwich we found at the deli was a bit tasteless. I was disappointed but I would give this place a second chance.

I’ve never left this much of a burger before, until today. Dissappointment set in after the first bite. The taste reminded me of a hot dog. Smh. On the bright side my crab cake appetizer and fruit tea was great. I won’t be rushing back.

Puffy Muffin is our go-to daytime restaurant! Breakfast & lunch is always presented with beauty on the plate as well as fantastically delicious! Their bakery items are very tasty as well as gorgeous to look as it is all displayed with a touch of absolute«loveliness»! Tasty gorgeous cakes, pastries, & cookies! To top it off their packaging of product for gift giving is beautiful! I use Puffy Muffin continually for corporate gift giving and its perfect in presentation !!

The service and food leave a lot to be desired. The food taste processed(orange juice tasted from a carton, eggs in omelette tasted bland and spinach/sausage/mushroom was too oily). The overall omelette need also more seasoning(salt). The place was fairly empty during breakfast and the atmosphere seems lifeless and no staff seemed happy to be working there or passionate about the business. The server wasn’t very friendly and took a while to take care of the check as he was socializing with colleagues.

I’ve been to the Brentwood location many times, and I truly prefer their new Cool Springs option. It’s much larger, so you don’t feel like a sardine crammed into a tiny table. If you are a fan of the staples — homemade chicken salad, pimento cheese, and sweet treats — then you are totally in the right place. A server will hook you up with all those and much, much more — offering breakfast options, more traditional lunch choices like a burger of philly cheesesteak, fries, etc. And while it’s a small thing, the dining room is carpeted, so it’s not so loud and«clangy» like most restaurants these days. Their dining room is a cool grey with interesting light fixtures, and if you opted for«to go» instead, their«temptation row» awaits with so many cookies, brownies, breads, or further down the line, the previously mentioned salads, sandwiches, and whole cakes and pies. They are pretty much always busy, we were there two days before Thanksgiving, but the workers always have a smile and are running like crazy to serve everyone. We arrived on a holiday week Tuesday around 12:45, and had no wait, and nothing unusual about our food arrival, etc. — so whatever kinks the other Unilocaler on here experienced have obviously been worked out. Enjoy!
