I was very sad to see that The Bean is out of business. I thought their coffee and bagels were great, and it was such a pleasant place to «chill». I hope a new owner will come in with a similar concept.

Friendly service, but took 20 minutes to get café mochas without the whip. Place is in decent location, but they need help from Restaurant Impossible or a complete makeover! The drinks lacked the caffeine punch and they got the order wrong.

So I’ve given the place a shot: here are my thoughts. The guy didn’t bother try to change the scene up. It looks EXACTLY the same as the previous Coffee Beanery. It’s so dated, although the seats are comfortable. Beyond that, the coffee isn’t very good. Not horrible. Just very weird tasting. Franklin is an upper crust city, with lots of disposable cash, and I would have thought there would have been more in the way of coffee shops. Well, as far as I’m concerned, Franklin is an epic fail, because there’s no coffee outside of Whole Foods that’s even above mediocre, and that’s not by much. So, having been to the Bean a couple of times, I can only continue my complete disappointment in Franklin’s coffee scene. BOOOOOOO!!!

My new«go-to» spot for a #6 w/a side of Potato Salad(or belgian waffle w/some of the best eggs I’ve ever had(the butter is incredible as well)) The NEW owner Tom is a heck of a guy, and you can tell he wants this store to be very successful. How about they were closed yesterday after their Sunday Brunch, and he still invited me in to make me a #6(Grilled Chicken strip wrap on wheat with all the veggies and honey mustard) They just do not serve coffee(they have it all if you would like), but I go for the food!!! Free wi-fi! This place is great. Hopefully he’ll get the new point-of-sale system up and running soon, so we can text/email our orders in advance! How cool is that for those of us on the go all the time?! No other store would dare do something like that. This is my new spot, and I hope others will give it a try, now that it is under new ownership(The store name has changed as well: «The Bean»

I just found this gem that has been there for 12 years. Ms Ellen and Mr Tom are a great team! They take the time to get to know their customers. As a first time customer, they knoew my name by the time I left and wished me a great day upon my exit, by name, The coffee is outstanding! THe lunch sanwiches were also very YUMMY! The Coffee Beanery will be my new local coffee hangout!

Delightful hidden gem that most folks who need a meet-up in Franklin don’t know about. Love the fact that they are independently owned and not the burnt taste of Starbucks. Order a Café Carmel and you’ll fall in love, too. Great for meetings, great for a light breakfast, and just nice folks.

I’ve been in here probably 20 times over the past 2 years. Chai tea lattes are good and other items, too, but that’s not why people go there. They go for the laid back vibe and that politics and business are conducted there. You might have to wait a minute to be seen, but you also don’t need a degree in ‘Coffee Linguistics’ to order.

I have enjoyed my several vistis to the«Bean». My friend it a brick in the wall there and I joined him. The staff gave great service and was very personal. The coffee was excellent… perfect brew and temp. The food was great and I can’t wait to try more of it. I don’t understand these posts. The posts are from competitors friends or the band of hoity toity Franlin morons that leave these posts everywhere. They are like mikey… they hate everything. This place will continue to grow despite these aweful posts… because the faithful like me will continue to support it.

Great service. I like there food menu items better than Starbucks. Adequate seating. Not as busy as the Starbucks in the area.

Very nice independent type coffee shop. They have great breakfast, with bagels, eggs, etc. Bring your own mug and enjoy the free WiFi! (be sure to note that the address is correct, just that Unilocal displays it in the wrong place in Franklin)
