The Pawsh Pooch Pet Salon & Spa

I used to live in Franklin and took my Golden Retriever here regularly for her grooms. We moved an hour north up 495 and though this is now very much out of my way, I will still make the trip to Pawsh Pooch for grooming. Amber and Melissa are my dog’s favorites, but all of Jen’s staff is amazing. Way better experience than the big pet store groomers!

Dog sat my parent’s Rottweiler and brought her here as a nice treat. She loved it and everyone was so nice. They did a great job! She was so fluffy and walked out of there like «oh la la look at me». It was really cute. We are definitely taking her back! :)

I love this place — Jen (the owner) and her staff are loving and caring of the various animals they work on. I first brought my dog here with a picture of what I wanted her to look like and they have never disappointed — along with the fact that my dog likes to go there — what a good sign that is — !! Prices are fair, staff is nice and work is done with joy and pride!

I was very pleased by how patient they were with my dog, who is skittish and hates being bathed. They even had someone sit with and hold my dog to keep her calm while they trimmed her nails. In addition to being clean and smelling good my dog was also much less traumatized than she has been after visits to other groomers. I really appreciate that they took the extra time with my dog. Service was excellent and the prices were very affordable.

My dog Odin went there two times. The first time was fine, nothing out of the ordinary occurred. The second time he went there was a Saturday. They had taken about an hour longer than usual with his grooming. I knew the minute he was brought out there was something wrong. His body was low to the ground, his tail was between his legs. I immediately asked what was wrong with him and inquired if he had fallen and was told no, nothing happened to him, he was probably just «stiff» from sitting in the crate. The minute I took him outside, he had diarrhea all over the place and peed all over himself. I got him home and he was walking funny, even a neighbor commented and asked me what was wrong. I took him inside and his back legs gave out trying to go up the stairs. I immediately called and spoke with the owner, Jen. She again denied anything had happened. As it was after hours, a consult with the emergency vet at Tufts was needed. He was put on heavy doses of tramadol and I made an appt. to see one of the state’s top pet physical therapists. I contacted Jen 2 or 3 more times after that w/​e and still got denial after denial that anything had happened. I told her this was not «stiffness» from being in a crate. After the specialist examined Odin at some length, he concluded there had been some trauma to his spine. It was nothing permanent thank goodness and it took him 2 months to recover, but thankfully he did recover. When I took Odin to another groomer some time later, I told them what had happened to him and apparently they knew her and told Jen that I stated Odin was injured at her establishment, which was the truth. I was harassed via FB IM by this woman in such an unprofessional manner, I had to tell her to leave me alone.

After discovering that all local petsmarts no longer offer cat grooming I came across the Pawsh Pooch on Unilocal.Those 5 star reviews don’t lie! I called on a Friday morning and was able to take my cat in for a lion cut that afternoon! They are located in a building with other pet-​related business (the front lobby even has a play area for little pets!). I was greeted by two super friendly women and was told that for a cut (no wash) my cat would be ready to go in less than hour.
The grooming was excellent, done in a timely manner and the price was right. I will be making the Pawsh Pooch my regular groomer from now on!

I have a dog who HATES for me to clip his nails and who also has an Anal gland issue. Pawsh Pooch takes great care of him and he looks great and his bottom feels better. No more scooching on the floor! Love them!

This place is great! It is just like a person salon, the girls are very helpfull and knowledgeable. I will never bring our pets anywhere else, it is very clean, and they also groom cats! I previosly called everywhere trying to find a cat groomer, while I was there I noticed they have a self wash area, I think I will just letthem take care of my dog and cat!

I have two dogs who my kids say are spoiled rotten. Well, maybe they are a little indulged. One is a rather grumpy basset — beagle mix whose nails grow like crazy and who, on occasion, gets a little «hound smell» about him. Melora totally understands my baby. She’s firm when she needs to be and understanding ALWAYS, making allowances for his fear of nail clippers and disregarding his growling protests about a bath in a way that is safe & comfortable for both of them.
My older girl is not trusting of strangers but LOVES going to Pawsh Pooch. Her skin can be a little sensitive to stronger chemicals (dryness, hives) but we’ve never had an issue there.
The atmosphere is comfortable, casual and very professional. I have recommended Melora to family members and they, too, have become huge fans.

Love The Pawsh Pooch. I have an older dog, age 12 who is sensitive all around. He has a special shampoo, and conditioner and can’t be on a table to get his nails clipped and not used to being in a cage. So Jen & Mel do his nails on the floor and get him in and out fast so he is not stressed. I am so thankful for their attention to his needs. I have experienced many groomers and wouldn’t go anywhere else.
