Duck Inn Lake Palestine

Where do I start… still waiting for the people to call me back the hot tub was broken amongst so many other things and I feel totally robbed of way more than just money this is not the place it was and is not ran the way it use to be they don’t care about you or how your stay is they think because they live on a beautiful lot it’s going to pay for them but it’s just wrong to rob people and treat them the way they did very heart breaking especially in a special town like tyler…

It gets one star because the outside space and location are awesome. The customer service is none existent, the room was dirty, the air conditioner ineffective and the breakfast was gas station food at best.

I’d have to rate this a 2. It is not a bed & breakfast but more like a room at a lake house. No one was there to greet us. Upon entering the room we were overwhelmed by potpourri. The last reviewer said breakfast was prepared beforehand. Not anymore. The apples appear to be a week old. See my pictures for «continental breakfast». The first day we had no creamer for coffee, ugh! The hot tub was not hot. Which was ok during the day but at night the water temperature was too cool for me. The view of the lake is obstructed by vines & foliage. We were not sure about the boat house and if we could fish there. There is a lack of thought to what a customer may want while staying here. I had to call the manager at least 5 times. The bed caused my back to hurt both nights. Not much to do around there unless you have your own boat. It was good to get away and I was able to do my run. The manager was very nice and responsive. There is a lot of potential here if the effort is put forth.
