Nice quite the experience I hoped for. Waitress skipped over my child for ordering a drink, almost did the same for the meal. Got a veal cutlet with mashed potatoes and gravy. Gravy was deep brown and salty. Husband ordered NY strip medium. Steak was rare. We asked that it just be cooked longer and it was still raw. Business has changed hands a few times and it seems that they don’t have it together quite yet. Would not recommend.

Stopped by on a whim. After looking over the menu, we thought«meh, this will probably be a one & done» since nothing was really unique. HOWEVER, we WILL be coming back! My fiancé had their version of a Slim Jim. He said it was the BEST he had ever had. Great quality ham. He got it deluxed with fries(which he said were the«good ones») and a salad which came with homemade ranch. I had Vik’s special omelet which is a ginormous omelet stuffed with ground beef, green peppers, onions & two kinds of cheeses and then smothered in a coney style chili! It was fantastic! It came with tomatoes in it, which I didn’t notice on the menu. When the waitress saw me picking them out, she had a fresh one made for me, even though it was MY mistake! Now THAT’S service! Great, hot, fresh food and smiling friendly service! We will for sure be coming back!

Friendly service, fresh food and good value. What more do you need for a breakfast stop. I had the Farmers omelette(the size of my head) and my husband had the corned beef and cheese omelette. They are NOT using liquid eggs and canned corned beef unlike a lot of diners.

Stopped for a weekday breakfast after having a good lunch experience a month earlier. Breakfast of scrambled eggs, bacon and pancakes was properly prepared and service from both the kitchen and my waitress was very prompt. To be fair, at 9:00AM I was the lone customer. Two waitresses were there and ready. Price was reasonable.

I stopped in for dinner with a friend. She had the fish and chips and I had the beef stroganoff. I’m always impressed when a little diner can produce some good quality fresh food. As usual, the rice pudding is to die for. My friend never had rice pudding, and gave me a concerned look when I told her that was desert. She’s ready to go back for more. I’ll be back.

Great Food! Great Service. We visited Vik’s while we were in town for a hockey tournament. This place is close to the ice arena so we assumed that it would be crowded. Not the case. The service was excellent. We got our food within a few minutes of ordering.

Went in for the first time last night, after working my twelve hours, looking for something tasty and filling since I was in no mood to cook dinner for myself or my boyfriend, and if I have to eat another lamp warmed burger, I might just go crazy! This is directly on my way home so I figured I would try it! I walked in and was greeted immediately by wait staff and the cook(who I later found out was the owner). Bonus point for that! Someone suggested the meatloaf and so I went with that. It came with choice of potato, I got mashed, and veg of the day(happened to be corn) and choice of soup or salad. I opted for salad with ranch. The ranch is home made so another bonus point for that. It was a huge portion of meatloaf(three big pieces) we actually shared the dinner and we’re both satisfied!!! Another point for that! I thought the meal was very tasty, mashed potatoes were home made, gravy was delicious. I thought it was a bit salty but the bf thought it was just right so I guess that was just a matter of opinion. It was SO good that as I went for my morning coffee I decided to stop back in and get a couple breakfast sandwiches to surprise aforementioned bf on our only day off. I walked in and the owner yet again greeted me warmly and remembered me from the previous evening! I felt like a «regular“already! The sandwiches were very yummy, I got bacon egg and cheese and the bf got bacon, sausage, egg and cheese. Both were loaded with meat and cheese and very delicious. Also just a tad more than I would have paid for the same thing at a fast food place. Over all I thought the food was great, the prices were reasonable and the atmosphere very welcoming! I would definitely give this place a try! I have a feeling I will be becoming a «vik’s regular“very soon!

First off, this place JUST opened a week or two ago. It was formerly Fraser Grill, and formerly Pepi’s…located on the corner of 15 mile and Utica. Not much has changed since it’s former incarnations. The menu has been redone, but most of the items on it are the same. The décor is identical, nothing has been changed. Some of the employees are the same. We asked our waitress what the deal was and she indicated that the new owner is one of the former employees who decided to make the diner run more efficiently and do a better job than the previous owners. My wife and I tried some lunch. I had a burger /what they call a traditional burger. It was quite decent. The bun was toasted(which is a plus for me)…all the ingredients were fresh and the burger was cooked as I requested. Don’t get me wrong here, it IS a diner and the food is diner-ish. But as diners go, this is pretty good. I’m sure I’ll stop here again. It’s not 5 star dining. It’s a decent place to catch a quick bite. I hope they’re successful and get better as time goes on.
