I just bought near vacant land in Lockwood Valley, near Frazier Park. It’s .79 acres which had long ago been used for horses and livestock. There’s fencing and a horse stall on sloping land, roughly 1 mile elevation. Long neglected, it needed clean up, road repair, hauling, grading, water line repair and construction. There are few contractors in the book, but L&M was listed in the local directory. I asked a couple people about the company and was told they were good. I called Lou, the owner, and made an appointment to meet and eventually clean up the land. He’s nearing 60 and has 30 plus years experience. As a former rancher, I know and can gauge fairly well, construction types, and Lou made a favorable first impression. On the job July 17, 2014, Lou showed up about 730 with his helper, Tony. The two of them worked efficiently and steadily for almost 10 straight hours. Tony took a short break, but Lou never stopped. It was an amazing performance. All my goals for the day were met or exceeded. I recommend this company 100% without reservation. You won’t be disappointed. He may also own L&M fencing in Frazier Park, but HQ for the clearing and hauling business in in Lake of the Woods off Lockwood Valley Road.
