Applebee’s

I’ve always had a pleasant experience at this Applebee’s. The food and service have always been great. There seems to be no pleasing some people.

Worse service ever in this place. Nasty & rude hostess @ the front. Dirty tables all around us. Order for one in our party was wrong but we couldn’t get our server to correct it. Nor could we get drink refills. Three adults had to share 1 glass of water. If you are hungry or want a server who actually waits on you I would eat anywhere but Applebee’s in Frederick!!!

Service wasn’t bad and we were seated within 15 minutes on a Saturday night. Our food was very ordinary. I had the salmon and it was juicy, but the spinach on top was in a large clump. We ordered wings and they were pretty good. Definitely not worth the money we spent, they are over priced for what they deliver. And the little computer at the table that can be used to order and pay your bill — not a fan. You can also play games on it for $ — keep it away from your children. There is a button to call the waitress — shouldn’t the waitress be checking on us? The only reason we went here was because all the other restaurants in the area had a long wait.

First of all, I don’t know why anyone would go there with the attitude of «its Applebee’s, it’ll never make 5 stars.» I had a 5 star experience there. I went in looking for a relaxing family dinner, and that’s what I got. With extras. Our server was polite, funny, engaging, and helpful. He was prompt with refills, appetizer and dinner came out in a timely manner and they were all served hot. The waiter let me substitute broccoli for french fries with no problem. The manager actually served our entrées and took the opportunity to see that we had everything we need. The food was all good, nothing special, I guess, but definitely good.

I have been there twice with a party of 4.
Pros:
The waitress was pleasant.
Seating was somewhat swift
Cons:
Food took a very long time to be served (both visits)
All entrée’s were not served at the same time (I had to wait an extra 10 min for my plate.
Fries were luke warm (Sweet potato fries)
Riblets were luke warm and very dry.
They told me they would reduce my bill because the food came so late …they did NOT.
I really think the kitchen needs a new chef/​expediter the kitchen needs better management. Front of the house staff seems to be ok.

Ordered 4 cheese Mac and cheese
There was barely any cheese and a disgusting sweet honey sauce over everything;(. Gross
Ordered salmon with veggies
Vegetables had 0 flavor, 0 seasoning Just slopped on the plate.
Sent both back
Our waitress was very nice. The only saving grace. However I will never return

Really, what is there to say? It’s Applebee’s – the most stars I could give is 3 and that would be for service not food. The service was terrible when I visited here with a few other moms. I don’t expect fantastic service but I do expect some level of attention and speed and we got neither. I guess I’d go back to meet up with friends if this is where they were going but I’d love to go anywhere else and I hope to not be back.

I like Applebee’s, but not this one. I came in with a party later in the evening, well before closing time but late enough that we were only one of a few tables. Our one waiter was nice, but the service, overall, was horrible. We waited forever for our food, only for it to arrive with cold fries. Then we waited a very long time for the check. There’s really no reason at ALL it should have taken this long; I really can’t figure this part out. This was a few weeks ago, before the snow, so there should not have been a staffing issue. I’ll never come back to this location.

I ordered this and as I try to eat healthily had planned on leaving the mozzarella.
BRUSCHETTA TOPPED CHICKEN SALAD
Grilled chicken breast served on a bed of crisp romaine tossed with champagne vinaigrette and topped with bruschetta, juicy tomatoes, red onions, kalamata olives, roasted red peppers, basil and garlic. Sprinkled with Asiago cheese, golden-​fried mozzarella scoops and finished with a balsamic glaze.
I got a pile of romaine with brown edges dripping with run of the mill italian dressing, topped with 6 pieces of tomato, a tiny sliver of
red pepper, a few pieces of dried out processed chicken, loads of sliced tasteless olives from a jar and a few bits of red onion. No basil or garlic.
It was sprinkled with processed grated american cheese and deep fried mozzarella which was really deep fried breading with a speck of mozzarella.
Price $ 9.49 or they offered a half size for $ 8.49. What a joke.
I try to eat healthily, hence the salad, but this was nasty and not worth the calories (sky high judging by the cheese and dressing) and certainly not worth the price.
In cost cutting efforts Applebees is now serving very low quality food that is highly processed.
I won’t be back.

Hi priced meals and lousy kids menu

Third trip there… this time I ordered siloin steak. It was so tough that I had to push down on the fork with both hands to get the fork into the steak. Even with a steak knife, I was shaking the whole table trying to cut the meat.
The waitress this time was okay, but not really attentive to refills, etc. I think I might be skipping Applebees in the future.
