Strong margaritas pretty decent food. A little bit slow service, but accommodating. Prices match the food.

Very good Mexican spot. Pretty affordable. Almost every time I’ve been, the owner has come around and asked how the food is. My favorite are the enchiladas!

Stopped here before heading back home to Baltimore for lunch on a Sunday. Strong margaritas and decent food. Nothing fantastic. The salsa needed more of a punch. Service was decent. The place was diner style clean– not clean enough. Decent service.

Super reasonably priced and good quality food in a pricy area.

FANTASTIC food. The quacomole was delicious and creamy. The chicken fajitas were delectable. The Veggie fajitas were delicious. We mentioned to the server that it was my birthday and they brought a delicious Mexican dessert, composed of chocolate and sugar-covered tortilla strips, whipped cream, and ice cream. Absolutely fantastic. The service was wonderful! Highly recommended. First time here and we’ll be back.

Great reviews but don’t know why. It was a toss up between this place and the one down the street. The other had 3.5 stars and this place had 4. Idk if Maryland knows what good Mexican food is but this wasn’t it. The chips were bland and not salty. The sauce was like poco de gallo with half the little bowl was just liquid. I ordered a spinach queso dip but was not very happy with it. The cheese was yellow instead of white and the spinach was all clumped together at the bottom. For my main coarse I ordered a steak Chimichanga and it’s what I always order every Mexican place I go. The crust was on point but the inside lack the seasoning of a traditional Chimichanga. The green bell peppers were undercooked inside and very big. Maybe chop it up finer and sauté them before putting into the Chimichanga. ***Service is what took it from a 1 star rating to a 2 star rating. The staff was not Spanish/Mexican. I know it shouldn’t matter but whenever the staff don’t match the style restaurant, flavors are a bit off. But I will say the staff was very welcoming and friendly. They even hooked our boys with a free desert for asking to help with dishes. Oh I also ordered a MangoBerry Margarita. It was great.

From the looks of it on the outside, it looked like an upscale Tex-Mex. But the food was mediocre at best. Had the stake Duo of tacos and the MEAT was the best thing on the plate. The sides of beans and rice was just about palatable. The salsa and chips were good, but boy are they stingy with the bowel(or thimble) of sauce. They need to button it up in the kitchen before I can give them 3-starts or better.

Really like Fajita Grande! Especially for lunch because it’s a crazy good deal. On our last visit I had the tamale lunch platter which was very good. Not the best tamale I’ve had but fresh and homemade which always wins. My son had the kid’s burrito which had to have been a regular plate because he seemed to have as much food as I did. All in all, Fajita Grande is a solid lunch spot and one of the better Mexican joints in town. I think their lunch specials might be the best though value wise.

My wife and I enjoy this mexican spot located outside of Frederick. We have dined in here numerous times. The chips and salsa you are served initially are wonderful! The service is always great, they usually give my 4.5 year old a free ice cream sundae! The numerous flavoured Margaritas are good and you can usually get a deal on them at happy hour! They have daily food specials as well. I have had the Chicken Fajita Burrito and Steak Fajita Burrito and enjoyed them both each time, although the Steak was a bit salty. The Mole Enchilada was wonderful as well. Their Hot Wings were very good as well. My family enjoys this spot and there is wonderful outside seating on the patio, along the sidewalk. We always enjoy our food and the service is great! The wait staff truly goes out of their way every time I have been there and they are always super friendly and chatty! Highly recommended.

Took some food home today. Flavors were bland, queso was broken and the wings were dry. You get two stars because the cost is cheap but I won’t be returning.

Service is great. Margaritas are great. Jalapeño Margarita is the best I’ve had. Crushed red and green jalapeño in the mix. Love the guacamole appetizer.

Fajita Grande is located on Willowdale Dr. in Frederick, Md. and that is why I give them four stars. While it is not the most upscale of areas, the food is quite good. I arrived with my family on 2pm Friday afternoon, and we sat down in a still crowded dining room. Renee, one of the staff who works there was very cordial and friendly to us. I ordered the beef fajitas lunch special — the number #12. I was assuming it would be of small quantity. It was much more than I expected and it was very delicious. My Mother ordered the sunken burrito(#3) and found it to be delicious. People still kept coming in after we were seated. There was a steady stream of customers all the time we were seated. Our bill was a low price of only $ 13.69 for two, due to the lunch specials pricing. The lunch there is quite good and so are the prices. Fajita Grande, you rock! I will be coming back for more Fajitas! The lunch special Fajitas is $ 4.99 plus $ 1.99 for Steak. Where else can you get Fajitas for $ 7.00? Lunch is quite a deal at Fajita Grande. I always make sure I order beef. Yum.

Visiting from California and stopped by here for food, beer and margaritas. All were amazing. I’m a bit of a margarita snob and these we’re really good! The good was excellent as was our server. Wish we lived closer. We’d be regulars for sure!

Huge portions at cheap prices. I didn’t think the food, other than the yummy plantains, was all that great. It was fine for the price though. Food came out lightening fast.

Favorite of mine for a good drink and good food. Prices cannot be beat and the sangria is the best. The only reason they did not get 5 stars is because the outdoor section could be better. Service is «okay» nothing to leave a huge tip about. I will ALWAYS make this my first choice for Mexican food. For 2 people, 2 drinks and 2 meals, it was under $ 35.00 with food to take home.

such a fan that I kind of want to go there right now! My family came into town to visit and I took them here for dinner since we were all craving some mexican food. We had mango margaritas and red sangria… definitely potent, which i appreciate! Prices were affordable and the chips and salsa were fresh. I really like salsa with a kick, instead of the mild salsa that I’ve had at other places in Frederick. I’m sure our waiter thought we were starving crazy people since we went through 3 baskets of chips before our meals even came out! Our group had the chicken enchiladas, the salmon tacos with mango salsa, the beef chimichanga and the chicken chimichanga. Everyone’s food was fresh and very flavorful and the portions were very generous, which I was happy about because that meant there were leftovers for the next day(which we were all happy to have!) i can’t wait to go back to this place and try out their happy hour specials!

This place is ok nothing special for my first visit. I chose the servers favorite which is the Double Grilled Chimi Chipotle. It was fine. The chicken & steak inside had a really good flavor. That’s about all I can say. Their guacamole is good. I probably will move on from this place to another Mexican spot while in Frederick. I should have went Thai haha

So I have been back here since. Maybe, it was the company I was with, but this place is much better than I initially gave it credit for. Margaritas are good, and the Fajitas are really good. The experience has been different the past several times I went. I would definitely recommend you give it a try for a decent Tex-Mex place.

Uhm, somewhere along the line Mexican Cuisine went too North because this food is far from just canned mushed beans and taco shells from a box. I have spent many years in AZ/NM/CA and became fond of New Mexican Cuisine and the flavors an authentic Southwest Fajita. Somehow, this place went a bit on the bland side and missed the mark. I will say, however, the red glasses are a staple to every Mexican Food establishment and I commend them on their décor.
