10 out of 10 stars, would eat again! Some people may say it’s pricey but these is good quality donuts. I could probably eat 3 Krispy kremes and still be hungry, one glory donut is a meal, but that didn’t stop me from trying to eat more. This place is awesome.

I’m newly vegan, about 4 months. I was so excited when my husband told me about this place. He surprised me today and took me here. The donuts sell out quick! The coconut raspberry was incredible. The staff was so nice and helpful. Can’t wait to come back and try more! So impressed with the quality and the amount of love put into this place. Love that they are truly passionate about plant based foods. Thank you!

Okay so I avoided this place for a long time because I am a meatatrian. I don’t want anything vegan, gluten free, plant based, blah blah blah. Buuuut when my hair stylist told me about their chai tea doughnuts and blueberry pancakes, I was like hmmmm, that sounds good. Glory is not for late sleepers like me. They open at 7 am Wednesday– Friday and the doughnuts are usually gone by 9 because they bake like 5 of each flavor. I was underwhelmed with the first one I tried, which was the 70% dark chocolate. I eagerly went one morning for the Reese’s doughnut and the Reese’s cereal puffs on it were stale. Boo. Later on I managed to get my hands on maple bourbon and my fave, earl grey, and they are delish! I absolutely loved the earl gray doughnut and am obsessed with stalking Glory’s Facebook to find out if it’s on the day’s menu. The aforementioned blueberry pancakes are fucking good too! You get 2 but they are huge and really filling. I’m sure others have said so but make sure you have time to wait for them because it takes 20 minutes to bake the pancakes in a skillet. Also, don’t go to Glory in a group because they only have 2 tiny tables and a few bar seats. If you’re going to be a regular, get a punch card so your 11th doughnut is free!

I had the Stuffed French Toast w whiskey crème. It was nicely toasted w Pablo breadcrumbs for added crunch. Fresh strawberries and blueberries dotted the whiskey crème. A tad boozy(whiskey duh) and sweet for my taste, I’d scrape off half the crème as the French toast was perfect on its own. Hubby had the PBR waffle wc was a good dough but also boozy. So watch these if you’re ordering w kids. We also had the chai tea and chocolate doughnuts. Excellent old fashioned batter deep fried to perfection. They’re a bit hard to find, look for the Frederick café and it kitty corner from it, signage is small and has only seating for 6 people max. Would return, would recommend

Came in today for the first time. We’re a vegetarian and vegan couple so we almost feel over ourselves when we found out this week there was a vegan restaurant in Frederick. Since we take the long compute down the road we had to wait until we had a day off to visit. We came in for takeout donuts and eat in breakfast. I ordered the stuffed french toast and he had the bakers breakfast. It was about a 10 min wait for the french toast. The cream was rather thick and sweet — the french toast was the bomb! Crunchy on the outside and warm on the inside. I got the side of maple syrup and it was served warm I would get this dish again but with just a tad of the crème — ti was just too much for me — but don’t get me wrong it was very good. His dish was also good — the tofu scramble was yummy and tastes like eggs(I eat chicken eggs so I know) — the texture was smooth. He also had the texas toast and the potatoes. GETTHEPOTATOES. We almost got into an argument over who would eat the last few ones. Next time I’ll get a side order of these for myself. There are three 2 tops in the front and a long counter on the side but only 2 chairs — we were lucky to snag those. While we were inside two people came in for take out. The donuts are clearly marked and can be seen through glass in the front of the restaurant. There were more than enough to pick a dozen — we picked: rose water, chai tea, cinnamon twist, chocolate with sprinkles, raspberry and mocha(I don’t think that was its name but that’s what it looks like) and whiskey cream. There is a fixins station for cream and sugar and such for your drinks. We opted for hot tea and coffee. I’m a pin int he ass and asked for a few ice cubes in my tea and they added some cool water to make the perfect temp tea for me. All in all we enjoyed it. We’ve had two donuts for dinner tonight and I’m feelin like I need a rose water donut every time I take a bath. We have 10 more to hare with our friends tomorrow and we’ll be happy to eat the rest. Price wise its a bit more than you’d expect for donuts but I don’t think its that much for vegan treats. You can’t complain about cheap food causing obesity out of one side of your mouth and then complain that whole food is expensive out of the other. We’ll certainly be back to try new things.

GLORYGLORYGLORY! These donuts are great! I am not vegan or gluten free– you don’t have to be to enjoy these bad boys. These donuts are the perfect size, fluffy yet a little heavy. Price is on the higher end, but totally worth it. I usually can’t eat more than one anyways. Love seeing the owners in the shop/behind the register/etc. Everyone at Glory Donuts is super friendly. Their only downfall is that the kitchen is too small! They sell out of donuts around 11, sometimes 10am. This is their first brick and mortar location, so I’m glad business is BOOMING for them– looking forward to what’s coming next. Give them a try!

Had a French Toast Doughnut this morning, and then tried the Rosewater(just a taste). Absolutely phenomenal! You, reading this review, you have GOT to get over here for doughnuts you will not be disappointed. I must add you do NOT have to be vegan to fall in love with this place.

Doughnuts were good… but $$. I mean, it is just fried dough. I bought 7 + a muffin and a small coffee and it was $ 30. I brought them into work and we all enjoyed them but when I can stop at Bread Co and get 13 bagles plus 2 cream cheese for $ 16…kinda puts in in perspective. I will go back for just myself though if I have a doughnut craving.

I have only been here a few times, my first trip was to get a dozen doughnuts for work. I almost fell over when I heard the price, $ 20. I guess I should have looked at the prices. Anyways, the doughnuts were good and I’d love to try their breakfast soon. I reside downtown and the prices are what keeps me from being a regular. Eating vegan is not cheap so I understand the cost, just wish I could afford to frequent more often.

Glad I thought about this place on Sunday morning. Got there about 9a and was warmly greeted. Everyone was patient as I decided which donuts to get on my first visit. Got a donut variety for me and the S.O.- cookie butter cup(I think?), maple bourbon, choco peanut twist, rosewater, and Almond Joy. My faves were the Almond Joy and cookie butter cup. He preferred maple bourbon and choco peanut twist. All the toppings had the perfect amount of richness, and the donuts themselves were fresh. The drip coffee was smooth. Definitely recommend you stop by for your donut fix.

So melt-in-your-mouth delicious. My favorite doughnut is the Chai tea or Rosewater, but not one flavor is disappointing. There’s a reason these doughnuts sell out so quickly. When ordering a large quantity it can get a little pricey, but it’s worth it. The food is excellent and the staff is always friendly. I’m in here at least once a week because it’s so awesome. Keep up the great work and amazing food, Glory Doughnuts!

Having traveled widely to experience some of the best vegan restaurants on the east coast, one gets used to disappointment and writes off the culinary disappointments as a reflection of the relative youth of vegan fare. It’s always a treat when you can find well-made, delicious vegan food so close to home! «Vegan junk food» can actually be easy to come by, but is often mediocre and leaves you feeling greasy. Glory Doughnuts is outstanding and elevates their treats through the use of interesting and subtle ingredients. We shared the lavender frosted doughnut, which was sweet without being cloying, pillowy, and tasted fantastic. The PBR waffle was delicious. It had nice, crisp, edges and a soft center. When ordering, I thought it would be just a waffle with extra fluffiness from the carbonation, but the PBR flavor really infuses the waffle and adds a depth and nuance that takes it to the next level. I also had the side of potatoes and the tofu fried egg. They were good, too– exactly what I wanted. The service was great. Staff was very friendly, helpful, and kind. Even though I live 30+ minutes away, I know I will be back for more breakfast adventures.

Funky little shop with really tasty doughnuts and a veg only menu. Very limited seating and also very limited menu. Some really tasty doughnuts. I ordered the salted sugar that I didn’t love, but the rest were great. I thought the salted sugar would have a nice salty-sweet flavor but they Really just cancelled each other out. had I made them I may have gone a bit heavier on the sugar.

Way overpriced, but unique to Frederick, so they can get away with it. In Portland, this would be a yawn. $ 10 for $ 5 French toast, $ 2 for 50 cents worth of potatoes. But, it’s all good. Seating for up to seven people, so plan accordingly. Apparently there is a punch card, but I’m not a hipster, so I wasn’t offered one(but I have a life, so I guess it evens out).

I’m definitely a fan of thoughtful, fun, vegan fare in the area. As other reviewers have mentioned, this brings something to Frederick that may be a bit more available in places like Austin or Portland, but that’s only a good thing in my opinion. I enjoy their FB and instagram pics, which drums up some local enthusiasm. The aesthetic of their logo and other marketing materials really appeals as well. The donuts are tasty, but if this had been a blind taste test, I might have ID them as some other delicious treat rather than a donut. The texture was distinct, and didn’t fit my mental model of a donut. But the flavors were great. I had one with a beer-flavored glaze that was pretty special. I wanted to try the«chicken» and waffles, although there were absolutely no empty tables and the waffle iron was broken. If you really want to dine-in, try to plan accordingly. What bumps this up to four stars for me was the terrific coffee and friendly service. You hardly need the selection of soy, almond, or coconut creamers, because this brew is so smooth. The friendly staff added to the experience as well. I’ll definitely be back – hopefully when I can score a table and eat some«chicken» and waffles with more of that coffee!

Some of the best donuts I’ve had! Came here around 10:30am so there were still plenty of donuts to choose from… we got 4 different ones and they were all so good; the dough was extremely fluffy and they weren’t too sweet. Since the donuts stop once they’re out id suggest getting here before noon because at that point you’ll be lucky if you can get multiple flavors. We also got apple pie French toast which was heaven and the perfect combination o led sweet and salty and also the pancakes which were Dutch oven style and a bit crispy on the edges… both delicious and filling. The place itself is very small and not much room to sit but people come and go so if you have patience to wait you might find a spot. My only compliant is that it’s SO hot. Since this is a tiny space with lots of people and a kitchen in the back they really need to install some fans because on a hot summer day it can get unbearable.

We’ve been hearing all about Glory Doughnuts and I have been following them on Facebook for a while now, so this visit was long overdue. But we finally made our way to the shop this morning to celebrate National Doughnut Day! My Chocolate Crispy doughnut and my wife’s S’mores doughnut were DELICIOUS! I also loved that the staff was super friendly! One of the owners even struck up a conversation with us while she was restocking the front case with doughnuts. As a small business owner, I am all about supporting small shops and I am so happy to see this awesome little business doing so well! Glory Doughnuts, you’ve got two new huge fans here and we’ll certainly be bringing friends and family back with us in the VERY near future!

I can’t say enough good things about Glory Donuts! I’ve been awaiting its opening for weeks! We biked down there on Sunday morning and it was hopping! We each got a coffee and split a lemon donut. The coffee was excellent and I can’t even talk about that lemon donut without drooling. Then I got the cast iron blueberry pancakes. Oh my word. So decadent! They were so good but so filling I couldn’t finish them.(maybe that has something to do with that lemon donut…) My husband got the stuffed french toast and ate every crumb of it. When a meat & potatoes dude inhales a vegan breakfast, you KNOW it must be really good. I know the vegan thing may scare some people away, but I’m telling you, just try it. You would never know that the pancakes, donuts, etc are vegan. Never in a million years. These guys are pros at making vegan taste amazing. I am so impressed. We ate outside at their single outdoor table and enjoyed people watching as the residents of downtown Frederick walked out of their rowhomes and into Glory Donuts for some morning treats. Boxes and boxes of these sweet treats left the store while we were there. I hope GD does great downtown and is successful in their vegan endeavor. It’s so great to have different food options in Frederick!
