The best dive bar in Frederick. Erin is the best bartender in town. The crowd here varies from night to night so it’s always an interesting time. It’s loud, dark, & grimy in this bar, but that’s what we love about it & that’s why we will always come back.

I was introduced to this place by a local. I was taken with the charming dive bar quality. Not like the DC or Baltimore bars of my youth, but I am reminded of places I’ve been in Chicago. There is one of these in every neighborhood. Usually, one can go here to relax and have reasonably priced drinks and bar food. Sporting events are on the TVs. I have also been here when full-on Hardcore and Oi! bands have been playing. Another reminder of my DC youth. On those nights, Guidos is packed. Sure this place is not perfect, it is a real dive bar, not a sterilized take on one. It has been both the beginning, and end, to many poorly thought out evenings. For those of us who have fled the big city for a more bucolic life in western-central Maryland, this is like an urban punk hangout with plenty of close parking.

The bartenders are so nice and also the prices are on point. Wing night Wednesday is always a blast.

Best dive bar, with the best drink prices and bar food in Maryland. Just expect to smell like greasy bar food for the next few days!

Don’t go unless you plan to burn your clothes!!! In my opinion, just because Guido’s is a hole-in-the-wall bar, isn’t a license to be gross. I’m going to have to knock three stars off Guido’s prior review due to the fact that my clothes smell like fryer grease after watching Sunday NFL football games. I don’t know if the kitchen staff are not(cannot) turn on the range fans, the hood grease traps are clogged and not venting the grease vapors outside, or what, but my clothes smell gross after spending 2+ hrs. My wife teases me and can immediately identify where I’ve been, then demanding that I change my clothes. Upon leaving Guido’s, I feel like I’m coated in this grease-like film & stench that permeates my sole(now know as the«Guido’s Stink»). I’m going to have to stop going if something doesn’t change soon! I don’t mind spending time in «hole in the wall» bars, I just shouldn’t have to be reminded of this fact after I’ve left! 12÷20÷15 stink Update: Watched the Redskins vs Buffalo game and had to leave at halftime because I couldn’t take it anymore – and the Skins were winning! The Guido’s Stink was relentless! I could still smell the«Guido’s Stink» on me during the drive home. I’m done! I’m done I say!

Hosted a celebration of life party there nd they were awesome. Sorry I don’t believe in 5 stars so 4 is awesome. They were hospitable and put up with a very large crowd that got rowdy as the night wore on. Anyone complaining about food isn’t being realistic. It’s a bar that serves bar food, if you want quisine go down the street. If you want a cool place to hang and have a drink go to guidos. Don’t come back in side door Don’t take drinks outside If you do you meet Angry Hipster Bouncer Guy… I really think that’s his name… Angry Hipster Bouncer Guy

I love Guidos! I usually go once a week or as much as I can. The wings and fries are amazing and Casey is the best bartender!

Dirty, dank dive bar. If you like cheap drinks and a seedy bar this is for you!

Amazing wings, amazing bar tenders and the crowd is always fun! Good place to chill out, without the douche bag college scene. I highly recommend Tuesday comedy night, Wednesday wing night and Thursday trivia night !!

Great dive bar, good service and atmosphere. The wings are big and juicy. Old bay wings were excellent… The sauces I’ve tried, teriyaki and sweet chili, while decent, weren’t as bold as I would have liked, if not for that the wings probably would be the best in town, but don’t get me wrong, they’re better than most places even now, especially on Wednesday night’s when they’re only 35 cents a piece. I’ve heard the steak and cheese bites are really good also but havent tried them yet. Pitcher and shot prices are cheap too…

Dive bars are the best bars, and Guido’s is the best in Frederick. Cheapest drinks in town, PBR tall boys, whiskey and wings. It’s my neighborhood bar and pretty much the only one I go to anymore because the rest are filled with college dicks and pretentious cock wallets. The bathroom is the third worst in town behind Olde Towne and Griff’s and the carpet is fucked. Bartenders are easy on the eyes, especially that tall glass of man meat, Casey. Hands off boys, he’s mine! Don’t fuck about in here or Alex will toss you into the street. Nuff said.

Neighborhood bar in a mixed income neighborhood. Lots of tattoos and piercings, but everybody feels welcome. Guidos is a short stroll from Frederick’s main entertainment district and offers a clear alternative to the fancy ‘destination’ joints found there. At Guidos the drinks are cheap and pretty basic. Food is standard bar fare but pretty damn good, actually. Don’t be surprised if the Saturday night band in the back room is really good, but they might just be loud. There is no cover so why not take a chance? I really wouldn’t mind if they gave the place some fresh paint and tossed out some of the broken furniture and junk from the room where the bands play. The more I hang out here, the more I like it.

Love their wings! Got introduced to Guido’s a couple months back and love going on Wednesday nights for PBR and .25 cent wings. Great atmosphere and the service is spectacular.

Guido’s happens to be my all time favorite bar in the Frederick MD area. I love their fried corn nuggets. Their beer is cheap(about $ 2-$ 2.50) They have a full bar, GREAT bartenders and live music on weekends(in the back). This is a very divey, hole-in-the-wall place, but I believe that’s what makes it one of a kind.

Best wings in Frederick, only $ 0.25 a piece on Wednesdays! cheap beer & on tap, lots of liquor, bands on weekends, not just a dive, this is the most economical way to spend wednesday night in Frederick

Guido’s is definitely a dive. But there’s a reason we love dives. You can get Yuengling by the pitcher for a decent price, and there are a lot of people drowning their sorrows in alcohol, cigarettes and unattractive company. That’s my kind of place. The place is a few blocks away from the main sites and bars in downtown Frederick, but my friend for lived there for a while recommended it as a good locals’ place. It recalls Moe’s Tavern a little bit, but that’s OK. Did you really come all the way to Frederick for sushi with buffalo grass-infused sake or moules frites with a Trappist ale? I say Guido’s is worth a trip off the beaten path for the memories you’ll make.
