I love Frederick mostly because it has amazing restaurants and a lovely historic downtown. We’ve been meaning to try The Orchard and I’m so glad we finally did! Tons of vegetarian options and a really diverse menu with local brews. I ordered the pad Thai which was spicier than I prefer but it was delicious and flavorful. Huz ordered the portobello Brie sandwich and it was probably the best sandwich we’ve ever had. Reasonably priced, quick service and great food. I would totally go back.

I have the chicken curry, and it was excellent. Cool and casual ambience. Friendly staff.

Went on a weekday night. Ambiance is relaxed, quiet but it was a slow night. Service was great, food was mediocre. I ordered mushroom barley soup had a nice mushroom flavor but lacked salt. For dinner had the Hunan bean curd and it was flavored well but seemed like a copy of pretty standard Chinese take out. Husband ordered Indonesian stir fry with chicken, it has a flame next to it but rather bland and certainly not firey. We shared the marble cheesecake with chocolate chips, also pretty unimpressive, did not seem fresh. Not likely to revisit or recommend. In fairness, we both have an ethnic palette but overall we weren’t particularly impressed, esp in light of the four star reviews this place has Unilocal

Vegan, Vegetarian and meat lovers unite! This place has everything. It is a little pricey but you are paying for quality. I had the jambalaya and while it was a bit salty, it was flavorful and tasty. My nephew who is a vegan had a sandwich and he enjoyed it as well. Would definitely come back again.

This place is great, but no traditional soda drinks. Pretty hipster. I loved my homemade salad dressing– simply amazing and I will be back just to have it again. The food was really great.

Kind of biased because of the long wait for a table. Menu is great for vegans. Lots of interesting things to choose from. Our party of four had several noodle stir fry dishes. Decent experience but nothing to make me go back.

The restaurant was a cute little place on Market Street in downtown Frederick. The staff was courteous and had an alternative look. Great vegan options, although they could extend beyond just stir fry. I would recommend this place to anyone who is vegan and traveling through.

Yum! I have only been here once, but they had a great selection of vegetarian items. The soup was delicious, and the sandwich was tasty and made on a thick bread that was really nice. If they were a little less expensive I would stop by a whole lot more. It is a great place to stop by for a nice lunch with friends or family though.

Had stir fry and wife had salad. Both were great. So many vegetarian choices made it hard to choose. Staff was very friendly. Would recommend this to anyone.

Stopped in here for just a quick bite; soup and starter. The Thai soup was quite nice, and I can appreciate a good tempura. The chicken tempura was very tender. So in that regard, the food was good enough. Unfortunately, I overheard the waitstaff talking smack about a customer(the kitchen area is open air right next to the dining) which I found quite unprofessional. The customer might well have been a nuisance, but you keep that stuff to yourself at work for the very reason that other patrons don’t hear you. The atmosphere of the place isn’t really anything special. So I can’t say anything great about that either. So overall, the food is fine, but with plenty of other fine restaurants in the area to choose from, I really don’t see any particular reason why I’d be back here again.

A nice location for light/healthy, less-expensive fare on Market Street. My mom and I stopped by for an early dinner, since this place was on my To-Try list for a while. She had an open-face sandwich on flatbread(served somewhat deconstructed at her request), and I had one of their stir-fries(you pick a style/flavor, and then a protein). Good quality, healthy ingredients, but the portions are a little on the small size for the price(tho prices are reasonable for sit-down on Market). Coffee was good, the servers/service was friendly and attentive. There’s a few outdoor seats available, and they have liquor license. A good choice when you want a meal out, but don’t want something heavy. I’ll be back.

Go try the orchard veggie salad. Seriously it’s amazing. I get it every single time and I love it so much. My only complaint is that it’s a 10 dollar salad which seems steep but you can’t really complain when all the ingredients are fresh and fantastic!!! I’ve tried some of their soups as well and they are just as fantastic!

Perfectly fine food. Nothing special. The gazpacho was OK, but bland. I had the Primavera stir-fry, which was good, but also bland, and had much less chicken than I expected. The coffee was bad — not a bad bean, necessarily, but very old and burnt-tasting. There are reasonably-priced options here, but it tends to the more expensive side.

Finally got to try this spot after seating in my bookmark list for months. I’ve always been attracted to the Downtown Frederick vibe and although I’m all the way in MoCo it still feels I’m a distance away. We arrived at 8:30 and I was worried they would turn us away due to the proximity to closing time. It was pretty packed when we got in but the hostess said five minutes and he could get is a seat. AWESOME! I just got to say the customer service here was on point tonight… just wanted to clear that because customer service tends to be a deal breaker for me. The food was just as great… it was a lot to choose from a big variety. We started with the spicy-buffalo chicken tenders, I was skeptical at first because how can you mess up spicy chicken tenders!?! BUT these are no oridnary chicken tenders these were magical. Perfectly crispy, spicy and tangy but to top it off was a garlic ranch dip! for dinner I ended up getting the Indonisian Stir Fry with rice noodles, my hubs got the Polynosian Stir fry, and the bro in law got the portobello sandwich. We all enjoyed, the flavors blended well together. I def want to come back because I spotted a lot of other dishes. We couldnt resist dessert… i heard I had to get their cheesecake. Unfortunately due to the end of the day all the cheesecake was gone! I’m not surprised since they make everything from scratch. That didnt stop us though we ordered the coconut cream pie and apple crumble. Neither disappointed and I completely forgot about the cheesecake! Cant wait to come back and try more here!

This place rocks! The food is good and the people are friendly. What more can you ask for? My mom and I went for lunch and left rolling out. We got a main course dish. My mom got a lasagna thing and a fettuchini dish. They were two separate sized meals thrown into one dish, so she went home with plenty of leftovers. I’m vegan, so I absolutely love that almost half of the menu can be veganized. It gives me a big variety to choose from. I got fried tofu and spaghetti in a peanut Thai sauce. Just like my mom’s, they were both separate meals that were put into one place, so it was huge! The Thai sauce was rich and creamy and the sesame tofu was crisp – without being oily. What a win. The prices are a little much, but the quality of the food makes up for that! I’d recommend it to anyone!

Quite lovely and surprising! This place has good reviews so I had high hopes, despite the menu items ranging from zucchini parmesan to Japanese stir fry — I mean that’s kind of a sacrilege in the foodie world. But it didn’t disappoint! Our table got a variety of options, including both the entrees mentioned above and a texmex fried chicken thing. Everyone was really happy and said they would order their meals again! I also got gazpacho which was delightfully refreshing and flavorful! No dessert this time around, but with an excitingly fresh menu and lovely attentive service, we will surly be back to try more!

This used to be one of my favorite restaurants in Frederick but I have been more disappointed than not with my meals here as of late. I used to LOVE the tempura veggies appetizer, but it seems to be nothing more than fried vegetables anymore — no seasoning or flavor. Last time we stopped by, we all were disappointed in our meals. I don’t remember the specifics, but I had a sandwich, my brother had a stir fry and my mom had a salad. Nothing had much flavor at all(even the stir fry which was dull) unless we doused it in dressing. Admittedly, the homemade tomato Tamari is fantastic, but if I knew how to make it, I wouldn’t see much of a reason to return. Bummer :(

The ambiance could use a little updating… It feels a little outdated. Aside from that the food is excellent and service is good. I recommend any of the stir fry entrees, especially the Polynesian. All the desserts are excellent as well

Stopped here for lunch. Fresh food with lots of health choices and vegetarian options. Friendly service. Had a Brie and avocado on house made whole wheat. Delicious Nice option in a town with lots of very good choices.

I came to Frederick at the end of last week from the SF bay area of CA. I picked this restaurant as one of the few I would try while in town. I was not disappointed at all. The food was fresh and healthy. The portions and price were both reasonable. The service was wonderful. I was amazed that when I asked about alcohol in the sauce that the waitress was able to answer the question immediately without having to go ask. That has to have been a first for me. I dined here on a Friday night and had the Sechzaun Stir-Fry with Tofu over Brown Rice and the peanut butter square for dessert. I also had some bread and butter as well while waiting. I loved everything. When I ordered the dessert I had only planned on eating half of it and taking the other half home with me. One bite and it was like heaven. Before I knew it the whole entire square was in my tummy! It was the best dessert I have ever had in a restaurant. Because I loved my dining experience at the Orchard so much I brought a party of six with me to dine here the next day. Collectively we all had: Salads with dressing(the creamy garlic one was awesome), Chicken Salad, Southwest Chicken Sandwich, Curry stir-fry with chicken, Japanese Stir-fry(one with tofu and one with shrimp), children’s pizza, Children’s chicken nuggets, tempura shrimp, and last but not least the Peanut Butter Squares which everyone loved every bit as much as I did. If I find myself back in the Frederick are again this restaurant will be on the top of my list and I highly recommend it!!!
