The service at this location is very poor. They’re very slow even at the drive-through. I think other locations are probably OK to use but this one just doesn’t have the type of customer service that you would expect.

Not sure why this KFC doesn’t have good reviews. I’ve been here a few times and the staff always provides exceptional customer service. The food is always fresh and taste great. The drive thru is efficient and quick. The dining in area is always clean and inviting. This KFC provides me with all the things I would want and expect from fast food. I’m not giving them 5 stars because they can improve there is always room for improvement.

I’m embarrassed to say that KFC used to be a staple food when I was in the Navy. Me and a bunch of friends would pick up a 20 piece bucket, load up on beer and watch the game at some cheap hotel. When I left the military I left most of my bad habits behind including greasy KFC chicken. I don’t know what possessed me but I got a hankering for bad cholesterol and decided to go back. I picked up a 8 piece bucket of boneless original, some home fries and Coleslaw at the Waverly Avenue location in Frederick, Maryland. It set me back 23 dollars. «That’s okay» I thought, «I’m about to re-live some fond memories.» It must have been the Lowenbrau because this stuff was just god awful. The biscuits had a weird smell that I can only hope wasn’t mold because I actually took a bite. The original recipe was saltier than I remembered and the home fries were almost as bad as the biscuits. I didn’t have the nerve to try the Coleslaw. I’m not one to toss out food but my stomach was warning me not to take another bite. If I had a dog I would probably have left it for him but something tells me even the dog wouldn’t eat this stuff. Sometimes the past should just be left in the past.

$ 3 more than Popeye’s, ordered 2 sides, got a half of a corn on the cob, did not get a spoon, did not get napkins from the drive in. Pretty piss poor attitude from the guy who waited on me

I needed a couple days to think things through before writing how I really felt about my Saturday visit to this KFC. I’ve been to plenty KFC’s in my life so I have a pretty good idea what a good one is from a bad one. Granted this is fast food we are talking about, but even the bare minimum of standards for even fast food exists, and this one doesn’t fit the bill. My last two visits I found the dining area to be dirty, and the employee’s surly and apathetic. This appearance carry’s over to the bathroom which on both visits appear not to have been cleaned since Carter was in office. Normally if I go somewhere and it is that bad, I don’t go back, but I thoguht on a lark they could have had an off day. Wrong, looks like they have had a bad decade. The only thing that kept this place from receiving a one star was the fact that the guy upstairs was kind enough not to have let their poor sense of cleanliness give me food poisoning. If you have to have fast food, and it has to be KFC, do yourself a favor and hit the KFC on the south end of town on Spectrum Drive. I take that back, oen star, I did recall getting a stomach ache.
