The employees all know the product and are willing to make recommendations based off your tastes. They have a lot of locally brewed beer and are the only place I can get some of my favorites. I would highly recommend this place.

I was looking for Ice Wine, and called around town. Old Farm’s price was about half the price of the only other shop that had it. I walked in and was immediately blown away. Their selection is incredible, and their prices are quite reasonable. The owner gave me discounts that I didn’t even know were offered, and then they carried my order out to my car for me. They have many cool imported beers available in single (larger) bottles so you can try things that you normally have to get in a specialized bar — for about 1⁄3 the cost! This is now my favorite liquor store in Frederick, even though I live WAY across town. I have to drive about 10 miles to get here, and pass at least 20 other stores on my way! That should tell you something.

Old Farm has a good selection of unique beers and they offer a 10% discount if you buy four or more big bottles. We’ve found that the prices are really good compared to other liquor stores in Frederick. I also like that they have a large selection of generic alcohol brands, so I can get some cheap flavored vodka, schnapps and coconut rum.

Despite living in Frederick for a number of years, I never explored this store until about a year ago, when I was looking for a wine which had been recommended by a review in the Washington Post. I’m glad I checked it out, because Old Farm Liquors has become our favorite liquor store in Frederick. They have an excellent wine and beer selection and stock many hard to find types of alcohol. They often have good sales and offer coupons on their web site. They even carry your purchases to your car.

The name of this place doesn’t sound right as they don’t serve food and they don’t have a deli. But they sure do offer a very good variety of local and national micro brewed beers and tasty imports at reasonable prices. Sure, the place up on 7th street may offer more choices, but why drive the distance when there are plenty of tasty brews to choose from right here in my hood? A solid selection of liquor and wine is offered as well, including a few of our favorite fruit wines from nearby Linganore Cellars.
