The food here is great. I’ll admit the menu makes no sense. I’ve ordered there over a dozen times and get something different every other time. The«open kitchen» style is somewhere between Chipotle and Miyako. If you want tasty hibachi that’ll leave you hungry in an hour, this is the place to go.

I had the two protein chicken and shrimp. It was good. I bought my mother the salmon and shrimp, it had enough or 4 pieces of shrimp. A little skimpy I think. I added their hibachi chicken roll. I will be going back for more of their sushi. It is priced okay though. I will continue visiting their establishment.

Good, fast, reasonably price food. Nice atmosphere, staff was friendly and efficient! Chicken with«double rice» is my favorite. We’ve had their sushi… not too bad! As a side note. We’ve been to this location many times and we’ve never had any issues. Last night my wife and I stopped. by for a quick dinner. We witnessed a customer give the staff such a hard way to go, it was unreal. It was to the point where my wife and I were ready to get involved. This lady was yelling at the staff for something that was a simple misunderstanding. The entire staff handled the situation in a professional manner. They showed much more restraint that I would have shown if someone was yelling at me for a unjust reason. I was impressed.

We stopped here for a quick bite after hockey practice. We both got the chicken hibachi meal. My two sides were noodles and fried rice. My husband got fried rice and veggies. It was just steamed cabbage. Carrots and broccoli. For a quicker meal it did take about 10 mins for the food to be cooked. It is not instant, not saying that is bad. They give you some yum sauce to go with your meal like the hibachi places. My husband ordered the spicy tuna rolls. He said they were average. And I ordered the chicken dumpling which were good. All in all pretty good we would go again for quick Asian food. They give large portions. Next time we will try steak or shrimp hibachi.

For quick inexpensive Japanese food this is the place to go. It’s a bit noisy inside as there is a echo due to the way the restaurant is built. The seating is hard and not a place to sit for a long time. Good food and I will definitely go again.

I really wanted to like this place as it’s close to work and often times even«bad» Japanese/Chinese food is pretty dang tasty. However, when I walked in the menu was a little confusing. I get that my lack of understanding is my own fault to an extent, but when asked most employees couldn’t answer and those who could just seemed irritated that I even asked. Then, when I got my food and sat down to eat the food didn’t even smell appetizing. I had a few bites and I was done. Not good at all. I definitely won’t be going back.

They stopped serving pasta salad n salad. I go there sometimes and noticed something odd going on there. Are they going out of business.

We always come here when I want a quick Asian fix! I like the salmon hibachi with rice and vegetables. The veggies are just steamed cabbage, broccoli and carrots but it pairs well with the teriyaki salmon. I never get the extra sauce; the sauce that it’s cooked with is more than enough. They also have a great selection of sushi, but I never get raw sushi from fast food places. Here I order the tempura shrimp with avocado roll, and the California roll. It’s fresh and tastes pretty good for being fast food. The place is clean and has plenty of seating. The people are friendly and I’ve always had good experience here. Whenever I want something quick and somewhat healthy, I come here!

The first thing I noticed was how confusing the menu was. Nothing mentioned about sides and when I asked the guy taking my order he spoke so quickly I didn’t understand anything he said. I finally figured out he was saying«fried rice, noodles and vegetables». He never told me I got my choice of 3 sides, nor did he mention salad, bow-tie pasta and pickled veggies. I ordered salmon and shrimp which was piled on top of the fried rice. Meat was ok but seemed reheated. Vegetables were tasteless cabbage and carrots. Lo mein was OK. Spring rolls were more like empty papier mache tubes. Was not very quick and nothing to write home about. Would have preferred waiting 5 more minutes for Chinese takeout. With all the fast food available, I’ll pass by this one in the future.

Ate here a couple of months ago to try and see what all the buzz was about since all my friends were raving about it. Got 3 boxes to try all of the different proteins(shrimp, chicken, and beef). Pretty expensive for the amount of food that you receive, the portions on the proteins were pretty small in my opinion. Also, the food really wasn’t that good to be frank. Probably will not come back.

Friday evening, no kids for the weekend, no commute… can you say«date night?!» So my girlfriend mentioned she wanted a hibachi meal. We’ve been to Flaming Grill, I mentioned Quickway for dinner. She agreed, looking up reviews on Unilocal,it was a mix of reviews. The usual, «can’t make them happy» reviews, the good reviews and the excellent reviews. The good outweighed the bad. Time to go! We arrived with expectations of limited parking along the street from Unilocalers heads-up No big deal, a few seconds around the corner was parking, a 2 minute walk at most. Upon entering a quick look around and yes, as mentioned in other reviews, a Chipoltesque feel. The offerings on the menu. protein: shrimp — chicken — beef, pick 1 – 3 Sides: *Japanese«salad», this one, er-um yeah… chopped iceberg… wait for it… chopped iceberg… that’s all! *A cucumber, onion vingerette salad *Steamed cabbage and carrots Starches: * spaghetti diameter lo-mein noodles *fried rice Flat top grill sautéed, add teriyaki if desired… Serve. Seating was simple but adequate. Décor, simple but fine. Not noisy. Our meals Beef and shrimp, noodles and cabbage mix. Chicken and shrimp noodles, rice and cabbage mix Both dishes were tasty and cooked well. The rice was not great, my guess was the batch. The noodles were the bomb! We really liked that they were«spaghetti thin» but were lo-mein. Overall experience was pleasing. Fast service. Reasonably priced. Give them a try, worthy neighborhood fast hibachi!

5I like the fact that there is ample seating and an outside patio. However, this restaurant should not be a stand alone restaurant. It seems like a lot of extra overhead for nothing. It should be in the food court of the mall. I ordered the chicken hibachi. Apparently, you get three sides. I chose a tossed salad, pasta and steamed vegetables. First of all when did bow tie pasta become a Japanese side? Anyway, I didn’t realize until after the fact that they put the hibachi chicken in the same plate as all the sides. I guess that would have been fine but I don’t want smoking hot chicken on top of my tossed salad. At any rate, I feel like if you want hibachi chicken for cheap just go to the food court at the mall.

Went back and they improved with the portions. The front guy who worked register was extremely friendly and sweet which also deserved a good updated review from me.

Think of this as a Japanese Chipotle. I don’t think Chipotle is all that so it makes the comparison even more on point. The one thing I really did like was their hot sauce. Unfortunately, I put too much on my food to give it some flavor, resulting in an hour in the bathroom. I knew I was in trouble about 20 minutes after we finished lunch and my stomach made that sound from Dumb and Dumber.
I’m not saying not to go try this place out. Hell, if I need to shed a few more pounds, I may try it again. Go light on the hot sauce unless you have some time on your hands and a pocket full of wet wipes.

I’ve come to this place many times and always have great food. Tonight I called it 8:45 for a take-out order and the phone rang for two minutes with no answer. I called again five minutes later and let it ring for another two minutes still no answer. A couple minutes after(when I’m just about to call another restaurant) Andy called back. I often order takeout on my way home from work. I’ve never had a restaurant call back to tell me they were busy and they apologize for missing my call. Even though I was frustrated they didn’t answer on the first call the recovery was great. When I got there Andy apologized again. As I was leaving he rushed over to refill the forks as he could tell they were very busy. Definitely the hardest worker there and it didn’t go unnoticed. Thanks Andy!

This place is great for lunch and dinner. They cook everything to order. The staff is great and the food was gooood. You can make one meal into two because you get that much food. We definitely will be back. Great place for kids too.

All of the bad reviews kept us away from this place for awhile but we were pleasantly surprised once we decided to try it. All of us got something different so we could share; proteins, rice, noodles, salad, vegetables, spring rolls. Everything was good and you can actually get in and out quickly. Now, don’t expect anything super fancy because it’s basically a few steps above fast food but with none of the grease or regret. Not to mention, 1 meal could easily turn into 2 and it reheats well. The price is fair, too. We fed 4 for under $ 30 which can be difficult to do around here. If their sushi ends up being tasty, I could easily eat here once a week.

Pretty decent for quick hibachi. They give you a TON of food too. It fed me for 3 meals! And they give you yum-yum sauce! I didn’t order the rice, but my stepdad had it and it was a little sticky. I had noodles and shrimp, it was good. I loved the noodles and the veggies. I should’ve ordered double veggies! I had the dumplings as well. I would’ve preferred them steamed but they were still a tasty add-on. Not the best food ever, but good & quick if you’re craving hibachi or don’t feel like cooking one night. I’d get it again if I was really craving it. Those noodles were so good.

You’d think since it was a new place they would explain their offerings and how to order, but that isn’t the case. The girl on the register could have cared less about us being there or getting our order correct. And, not surprisingly, my order was wrong. Thankfully the guy working the grill took care of it right away. My husbands hibachi was good as was my California tempura once I got it. There are so many great places to eat in Frederick, and this isn’t one of them.

I’ve been eyeing the construction of this place over the past month or so. I was pretty sure it was going to be a Chipotle-style Japanese restaurant. When I drove by on Friday, I saw grand opening flags flying, signalling the arrival of a new joint to try. I went today at 12 noon for lunch. The menu is large and easy to read. You pick a protein(starting at $ 5.95), then select your add-ons at $ 1.75 each. After that, you choose your noodles, rice and sides. The chefs behind the counter will whip it up and serve it to you. Today, I chose the tofu with mixed veggies and fried rice. I added 4 pieces of California roll, 3 pieces of dumplings and a small soda. My total was $ 11.75. The tofu was amazing. Seasoned and cooked perfectly! All of the other foods were tasty as well. Service was very friendly and fast. Dining area looked very clean. Business was slow, but I am assuming people don’t know they are open here yet. I am excited to come back and try the rest of the menu, which includes fusion and specialty sushi rolls.
