Seva – Frederick

Got my eyebrows threaded and I love it, only issue was there was not much of an arch afterwards, but still looked great! Reason for 2 stars was I went to get my arms waxed. She left wax all over my arms, reused the same soft wax stick, left so much hair, and cause MASSIVE irritation under my arms, and even after getting my underarms waxed it looked like nothing happened except pain, irritation and bleeding. Overall I recommend getting eyebrows threaded, but no body waxing.

I just drove all the way over here during my lunch hour for them to be closed! It’s 11:15am and it says it open at 10! Seriously???
There isn’t a sign posted or anything.

First time getting threaded here and will defiantly go back again. The woman working there did a great job and she is very friendly.

This was my first time getting my eyebrows threaded and it was a great experience. The woman at the front desk was very friendly and the whole experience was extremely quick. I will be returning here.

If I could give less than one star, I would. I went in, which people should know it’s in Walmart, and there was one person there. There was a weird sign in on an iPad that the woman said I had to give my phone number. Then after the awkward sign in, I sat in the chair and she went to work. It was painful. Like she plucked every hair out. When she was done, she rubbed the eyebrows with lotion. No brushing the eyebrow hair off my face, just lotion and done. I looked in the mirror and was horrified. My eyebrows were crooked and my right eyebrow, the tail was gone. Gone! I’m trying to tell her what was wrong and she steadily argued with me. I gestured to my now half eyebrow and she was determined to tell me my hair was thin.
I’m not new to threading, in fact I’ve gone to people who are so good and I’m willing to give service to newbies. But that woman had me with crooked eyebrows and I had to buy eyebrow pencil just to fix it.
Danger and beware. I complained to Walmart management and there’s not much they can do.

Love this salon! Quick and easy. They did such a great job! My first time going on my way out of town and they did great.

I went here based on the good reviews I read and decided to get my eyelashes and eyebrows done. My eyebrows were great but I wouldn’t recommend lashes here. I noticed they were a bit uneven after application but still ok/​passable. However after a few days they were falling off. After the first week I had to remove the lashes completely and because there’s no guarantee as to how long they will last, there was nothing I could do. I’ve had lashes applied professionally before (following the same care instructions) and they lasted at least two weeks with no issues. I would not return for that particular service.

Don’t let the fact that this place is inside a Walmart fool you!
I went here today to get my eyebrows threaded based on the great reviews and Seva did not fail to live up to its expectations! I walked in and was seated with the esthetician immediately. She was very nice and listened to my concerns about how sensitive my skin is and she made the process quick and gentle. While working on the first brow, she stopped halfway through to hand me a mirror and ask if I was happy with the shape, thus far. With my approval of the shape, she continued and was meticulous in making sure both brows were symmetrical and even. The finished product looks wonderful and for only $ 9 and about 10 minutes of my time, I will definitely be going back!

I’ve been getting my eyebrows threaded since 2005, so about 9 years. I started in Mountain View, CA, and then in Saint Louis, MO for most of that stretch. I am temporarily here in Frederick for business. I decided to give Seva a try as I desperately needed it (it’s been about 2 months and plucking’s not cutting it). The nice young Indian woman working there on a Saturday got me in and out the fastest I’ve ever seen. I have NEVER been threaded that fast! Wow. So far, I have nothing to complain about. As far as I can tell, she did a great job and only missed two hairs. Only $ 8. I’ll be recommending her to my coworkers. Just wish it was in a stand-​alone location like my brow salons in Saint Louis. If the ambiance were different I’d rate even higher. It shares an entrance with the Home/​Garden side of Wal-​mart. Maybe once all the good ladies of Frederick realize what a great thing threading is, and funnel more cash to these brave entrepreneurs :-)

I have been to many places to get eyebrow threading. I have tried 3 in Frederick, and this is the best one I have been to so far. The woman was very nice, and left my eyebrows looking natural and beautiful. She didn’t remove more than she needed to, which was great because many places leave you with razor-​thin eyebrows unnecessarily. I have sensitive skin, so threading always hurts me (Orajel helps!) but this was not as painful as it has been in the past (one woman at a different place even made my face bleed). Since Seva has their own little room, it’s pretty quiet, and much more private than going to a mall kiosk. And it was only $ 8! I will definitely go here again!
