Best beer selection in historic district and the wine selection is not shabby either most wines are under $ 20 and the selection is growing all the time

We wandered in here after a Valentine’s Day dinner and were please to find that it was open. Unfortunately, this shop is kind of odd… it’s like convenient store meets beer and wine with a deli or something like that in the back? Beer selection is minimal as is the wine selection – also a little pricey. We’re not in DC here… there are other places you’ll be happier to pick up your 6 pack of craft beer and bottle of cab! Don’t go out of your way to get here.

My go to place. A great selection of fun craft beers. A nice wine selection and good sandwiches. Also a great place for a cigar

This place is weird. It’s trying to be a convenience store, a wine shop, a cigar store, and a deli, all at the same time — and doing none of them well. The wine is very overpriced; the deli food is just okay(and takes forever); the snack selection is very poor and limited. The décor and layout are grungy and junky, too. They need to renovate the space, decide what their core business is, and focus on doing that well. It seems to have an absentee owner, though — it’s always staffed by a lone cashier, and I’ve never seen anyone working there who looks like they’re in charge.(The cashiers are always friendly and helpful, though — the problems aren’t their fault. It just seems like whoever’s in charge doesn’t care about the place.)

I had a horrible experience, cashier was negligent, unfairly judgemental, and rude to my significant other and I; which we are both above the age of 21. I was denied a sale without any explanation with a valid ID, three secondary ID’s, and credit cards which verified my name and ID, and am several days away from turning 22. Having served alcohol before, I understand questioning in order to obey the law and job security, but having multiple forms of identification, which she refused to even look at, her reasoning was judgemental and unfair. As a young professional, I felt incredibly disrespected. I took my business down the street, which proved to be a positive experience, and I got my desired products for a better price.
