A great place that’s your average hole in the wall bar. Bathrooms that don’t really lock and a patio. My kinda bar :)

Great onion rings and Wednesday is $ 5 burgers. Erika the bartender is a total sweetie and always has a good attitude :) very quick and always nice! It looks like a hole in the wall but it’s a great little dive bar to have some fun in.

Ok, so this place has good Reviews and my wife suggested it to me based on ratings from Unilocal.Unlike most places, this one completely sucked. The service was ass. From the moment me and my friend came in we caught attitude from the staff. The guy running the karaōke had no idea what he was doing. It was almost as if karaōke was a side show, instead of part of the line up. All in all the experience was terrible. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. This place was awful. If I could leave 0 stars I would.

The food is ALWAYS good… whether you have burgers or wings! Beer is always cold and a big locals crowd that knows how to make you feel welcome

Had a great time the other night with karaōke. Tons of folks and some hot ladies. Beer was good price and apps hit the spot. Try the hamburger quesadilla. It rocks.

It’s a blast and comic relief from life getting in the way of living! Drink specials are good on Tuesday evening as well. New menu has yummy garlic wings!

Oh man, where do I start? This place and I have history… It might make you laugh, it might make you cry, but it will definitely make you drunk. Monkey La La is a tiny little townie bar underneath a seafood restaurant(Jug Bridge). Because its location and size make it easy to miss, most people hear about the bar from a friend who’s already a regular. As a result, the crowd is a close-knit friendly bunch — surprisingly diverse and a lot of fun. All of the atmosphere at La La comes from the people, and definitely not the décor! The place allegedly has a Caribbean theme, but much of the efforts of the ownership to reinforce this concept have been undone by patrons who pry the tropical tchotchkes off of the wall and take them home! The entrance, however, is still marked by a giant statue of the bar’s namesake — a type of lizard. The bar is dimly lit with plenty of neon beer signs, and can get smoky at times — which provides a great excuse to escape to the sizable patio during the warmer months. You’ll quickly get to know the friendly bartenders and come to appreciate them for their mixing expertise and generous pouring. Typical bar food is served all night from a small menu of simple but surprisingly tasty choices. There are definitely cheaper places to drink in Frederick, but the prices aren’t ridiculous either. If you’re looking for darts, pool and other such activities, La La is not the place for you. There’s hardly room! Two obligatory MegaTouch machines adorn the bar, but you’re better off striking up a conversation and making a few new friends. Just be careful not to get sucked up in the drama which can erupt from time to time.(Or if it’s your style, dive right in!) La La’s busiest night is Wednesday, when Karaōke takes over after 10PM. It’s wonderful to listen to the surprisingly talented singers who often show up, but folks of any level of ability should feel comfortable getting up to belt one out. On other nights, music is provided by a digital jukebox, and occasionally a DJ or even a live band. I can’t stress enough that La La is all about the people… If you find a niche amongst the regulars, this will quickly become your favorite place to hang out. And should you come in and find yourself feeling out of place, do yourself a favor and try again another night! :)
