Don’t be fooled by Babies R Us’ promise of an easy return policy– LIES!!!
I came to this location to return some clothes after I was a tad overzealous buying items from my registry. I want to be very clear that everything was unused with tags and I had the original receipts. The total amount due back to me was less than $ 20.
First, I had to provide an ID. I don’t drive, so my state ID is expired. The cashier said she couldn’t accept that. Policies like that burn me up because they sure didn’t care about my ID’s validity when I was spending money! Nonetheless, I went back to the car and got my passport.
The next hurdle was that they demanded a phone number. It stated on the return policy posted at the register that this information is collected by Toys R Us and their «associates.» I don’t know about you, but I’m sick of getting mail and emails from baby product companies I have zero interest in. There is absolutely no reason for retailers to «need» my phone number other than they use it for marketing.
To their credit, the cashier and manager were apologetic about the hassle. The cashier tried to enter all 1s in the computer but when it didn’t work, the manager said to just give them any number so I made one up. It wasn’t their fault anyway, as this is obviously corporate’s doing. I was so irate at the fiasco I went home and deleted my registry so they won’t get another dime from me or my friends and family. Stick with Amazon and Target for truly easy returns!!!

Went there today just shopping around. We found an item with a sale tag which said the sale was Friday and Saturday. We asked if we had to come back on Friday or if they would honor the sale now since the sign was already up. Well, it turns out the sale was LAST Friday and Saturday and the sign was STILL up! Most stores honor their sales if the signs have not been taken down. They didn’t! We saw the salesperson tear down four other signs. Unilocal said I had to do a star rating so I had to check off one. Zero stars for this Toys R Us!
