Stout’s serves food on the patio at Grape Creek winery. It’s a mix of salads, pastas, pizzas, and sandwiches. We shared a 10″ pizza and it was excellent — fresh tasting ingredients, right out of the oven. The seating is all outdoors. Here’s where some people get a little miffed at Grape Creek. On Saturdays, holiday weekends, or Wine Club pickup weekends, the two covered patios are reserved for Wine Club members only. That leaves non-members with only a handful of tables to choose from on those peak days.(Those tables do have shade, but the other patios have fans/heaters depending upon the weather.) So people who aren’t members of the club won’t have as nice of a time as those who belong. We’re members, so it’s no big deal to us, but if you’re not I would recommend coming on a Sunday afternoon or during the week when you’ll have your choice of places to sit. Stout’s is open whenever the tasting room is open, so even on a cold, rainy Monday afternoon we were able to grab a bite.

Grape Creek Winery is amazing and the pizza is delicious! It’s not cheap but the atmosphere is great and everyone is super friendly.

My wife and I visited this little café in the GrapeCreek Vineyard right outside of Fredericksburg in the afternoon in August. It’s a pretty place, and they only have outside dining. Even though they have trees and canopy shades, they don’t have fans to give any relief from the heat(unless you’re lucky enough to get one of 2 tables close to ceiling fans under a walkway). They have salads, personal pizzas, and sandwiches. It tasted like what you can get anywhere, but was extremely over-priced, and you get absolutely no service! It was $ 45 for each of us to have a personal pizza — and part of that was because they charge an extra $ 5 for a gluten free crust(which we didn’t notice on the menu). That also included a $ 5 tip — for nothing other then to be annoyed by the rude order-taker. And that did not include drinks — the wine was another $ 10 per glass! So for $ 65, my wife and I got to sit outside in the 100 degree heat, go pick up our own food when it was finally ready, and get no water or any kind of service from any staff in the area.
