Whittingham is a truly magical place. Upon entering the store, you are rendered completely invisible to anyone working there. On four different occasions my wife and I have been in the store and not only wouldn’t anyone speak to us, but when spoken too, the employees would engage in the briefest of conversation and scurry away as if in fear of making a sale. I guess I’m not very bright for thinking the third or fourth visit would be better than the first two but they had a table we were very interested in. I have finally seen the light even if the employees cannot see me. I won’t be back.

Based on my experience (twice) I wouldn’t expect warm and personable service, but the kitchen and home décor stores are well and imaginatively stocked. If you can’t have all your gift-​giving needs met here, you’re not trying hard enough!

I’ve shopped here for many times, and whether I’m spending $ 10 or $ 1,000 I always get the same friendly and helpful service.
There is a great variety in both the main shop and the kitchen shop, and the prices are reasonable.
The window displays are creative and fun, and are worth the visit especially at Christmastime.
