I have to be honest. I didn’t actually step foot inside Krolczyk Cellars. I would have loved to, but it just wasn’t in the cards that day. However, I did go to Krolczyk Cellars, so that’s why I’m writing this review. My friend and I had time to kill while our men were off doing manly things. We wanted to do some womanly things, so we decided to check out a winery together. I checked Unilocal and saw that they close at 6pm on Saturdays. It was 4:45pm, so we figured we had plenty of time to pop in, maybe learn a little bit about the cellar, and taste some wine. We drove the 5 miles, arrived a little after 5pm and discovered a sign stating that they apologized for the inconvenience but that they were closed until«Mid July.» Now, I understand things happen and would have merely been bummed if we had arrived too early for them to be open. The problem was that this sign said«Mid July» and we came on July 14h, which is pretty much the middle of July. I even went back to the cabin and tried to look up information about the closure online — there was none. I found a phone number and tried to call to have some more light shed on the situation — it went directly to an out of service message. It’s summer and there are tourists coming from out of town and driving out here. It might help to update your means of communication. So, I didn’t technically go inside Krolczyk or try anything. I wish I had. And I fully intend to return to give them another shot and hopefully update this review. And hopefully they will actually be open or at least have a way of warning me not to drive out there just to head home empty handed. **UPDATE** As of August 1, 2012, I was contacted by one of the owners. She apologized for the inconvenience and said they had updated the website to reflect the closure(not sure if that happened after I checked and if they are open again). My friends and I look forward to giving this place a try the next time we’re in town!
