This place has great service. nice décor. And as far as I can tell some of the best«al Pastore tacos» in the area. One of my favorite little touches they add to the experience is, when they bring you chips and salsa they also added fresh avocados to it and a side bowl of hot bean dip. Who does that?

Still good. But don’t get the horchata. It’s from a soda fountain pre made mix that isn’t good. The real stuff they used to carry had the real rice bits in it and the sugar was real sugar not corn syrup. now they’ve got this stuff that tastes like sweet rice water. Everything else is still good.

I love this new place, it’s a small but very clean decent family run traditional mexican restaurant. Their burritos are huge and you get a lot of food for what you pay! A must have everytime i’m on that side of town! They also give complimentary chips, salsa, and bean dip! :D

Sorry, but the food for us here was really poorly prepared and almost not edible. The beans had so much lard in them they were not even worth eating. The waitress was good and pleasant however, even though the place was totally empty except for us when we were there recently for lunch. They need some simple and direct training ASAP with some«actual» recipes that have good flavor and use fine quality ingredients. Seemed the entire place is just geared up to make top dollar without providing any quality food or creative dishes whatsoever. Also the bill was quite high for such poor food and that is a shame for anyone at any restaurant these days! Probably there are lot’s of people, like us, who have tried it once and then never return. . oh well.(Too bad, really).

I am not normally a fan of Mexican food as an English man but I have to say this was THE best I have ever had! The food was fantastic .the service was excellent… the atmosphere was welcoming and relaxing and everything was very reasonably priced. In fact I enjoyed it so much I will be returning as soon as possible. Cannot recommend highly enough… a real treasure!

This place is great, been coming here(at the old location as well) for a long time figured I would finally chime in. The food is always amazing, inexpensive, very fresh and decently fast. Probably some of the least expensive seafood in the whole area and done up right. All the tostadas are amazing(especially the tostada de abulon, a rare and delicious find), the molcajete is something you should try with another person as well. Pretty ridiculous. The chavelas are awesome and just what will quench your thirst on a hot day. Depending on which one you get it can be a meal in itself, and has been for me a few times. Dont pay much attention to people like Andy H, who admitted in his picture description that he ordered it without clamato(which is basically essential to the drink), then went on to complain about it. Yeah, you ordered it wrong, not their fault its yours. Yeah the floors might be a little dirty sometimes, but nothing to cry about. If you want some great food and not destroy your wallet, give it a try. If you leave your prissy pants at the door there is no chance youll be disappointed.

Boy do you get a lot of food for your money! We had fajitas and bacon wrapped shrimp, very good. I tried their sangria which was strange but tasty. It had chili salt on the rim. I’d go back there.

Decent family run traditional Mexican restaurant. Hard to find in Watsonville, this nice little place offers abundant parking, waitress service, and complimentary chips, salsa, and bean dip. Food was above average and location was relatively clean save for a dirty kitchen floor. Decorations were classy, and booths were high backed for privacy. They serve beer here and take credit and debit cards. I liked the chips here and the salsa was obviously homemade and incredible. Waitress was polite and friendly. Their catering ability is limited which is too bad as I am planning a party for my Dad coming up and would have used them if they had a more robust catering menu and service. Would be 5-stars for sure if they cleaned the floors a bit. Will try again and give them another chance for 5-stars in the near future.

The food has amazing flavor! I am usually very picky with food. Especially Mexican food and seafood and I enjoyed it a lot! I really recommend the mariscada for 2 – 3 people and the Camarones al mojo de ajo!. Their food portions are so worth the money even for the kids menu. The chavelas were the ones that mainly caught my attention but the one I had was ok. Customer service was great!.. Over all I loved the place ! Definitely going back!

I’m so stuffed I can barely sit upright. Portions are generous. Fajitas Mixta is very very good. Hubby ordered a seafood appetizer(apologies, forgot the name but i’ll post a pic) comprised mostly of seafood, including octopus and abalone, marinated in lemon, which was also excellent. We’ll be back. P. S. This is a Mexican restaurant that Mexicans eat at, i.e. not taco bell, folks.

This placed was hyped up to me and I was not impressed. I live in San Jose where you could find an authentic Mexican restaurant on almost any corner, so coming here and trying this place did not live up to the hype. The service was quick and friendly. My «chavela» drink seemed watered down, there was very little to no carbonation in my beer. I ordered the camarones a la diabla plate and it wasn’t spicy at all and it lacked some flavor. I’m not sure this would be on top of my list of places to return to. Maybe I just ordered a dish that was mediocre.

Yes there is plenty of great mexican restaurant’s you could go to in this town so why would you want to stop here at a place that seems like a hole in the wall maybe because it is just simply amazing. I got a steak taco salad that was huge and very filling did I forget to mention the steak was juicy goodness cooked to perfection, and there margaritas are yummy and a good price too. I’ve only seen one lady ever working there and she is very nice. So overall this place is a must try.

Best kept secret in Watsonville! El Michocano has quickly become my go to Mexican restaurant. The service is fast, the food is excellent, the decorations are adorable. When my mom visits she always insists on going here for the authentic home made beans. This place blows Cilantros and Jaliscos(food wise, no bar here) out of the water.

I tried the combo plate with one carne asada taco and one chicken taco and they were seasoned to perfection! The combo came with sides of tasty beans and flavorful rice! They even added a side of guacamole! I’ve found my favorite spot for Mexican food!

Food is good, they have a large amount of the menu dedicated to sea food. They have a big variety of Chavelas which is good if you like clamato with beer. A little pricy but overall not bad. Also if you like chicken trust me ask for shredded chicken not the grilled

100% recommend this place. My lord this place is one of my go to restaurants to dine in and eat a tasty meal. The taco salad and the marisciada are delicious. The mango margaritas and Micheladas are mouth watering. I seriously can’t get enough. I love Mexican food and I’m very picky with food. So I can’t say no more except that you need to go in and take a seat for yourself. The service is great! Super nice and respectful place. It’s also super clean!!! That’s a plus in my book. Money well spent.

Best micheladas. True savory flavor just likes the ones in mexico. Authentic Mexican food. Love the sauce in the enchiladas. Feels like your eating at home in your mom’s kitchen. Service is great! Wonderful place to eat. I’m a food critic and I highly recommend this place

Small hole in the wall style place with an amaZing flavor of deep Mexico. We had the fajitas, a wet burrito and the most amazing dish EVER, the Molcajete… You gotta try it(feeds 2 – 3)
