Way too crowded. You couldn’t hear your own conversation. Food was edible.

I thought the food here was really excellent — everything we had was delicious and the menu had too many interesting items to choose from… some highlights: Asparagus francaise appetizer Shrimp wrapped in prosciutto, stuffed with herbed goat cheese appetizer — so good! Spinach and Arugula salad with sharp provalone, grilled red onions and balsamic dresing. Ravioli Caponata — Ravioli stuffed with eggplant in a caponata sauce(I’ve eaten lots of homemade caponatas, but never had it as a sauce for pasta, this incorporated all the best elements and was wonderful, especially the onions), so good, my favorite thing of the night except for… Tiramisu — perfect. They had a Prix Fixe menu where you get an Appetizer, Soup/Salad, Entrée, Dessert and coffee for $ 39.99. So worth it. Can’t wait to go back and try all new items.

For a restaurant that advertises itself as «not your typical Italian restaurant», it was quite the typical Italian restaurant. I had some mediocre clams oreganata, a mediocre, if not sub-par, veal saltimbocca and a disappointingly dry chocolate cake. It was overly expensive for the size of the portions I got. It actually took me quite a while to remember what I actually ate to write this review and I went there less than two weeks ago. That’s how unmemorable the food was. «Café Colore, Your Typical Italian Restaurant»

One of my favorite Italian joints, food is consistently good and moderately priced. Good service. BYOB We usually are there for lunch on weekends.
