Spano’s Italiano To-Go

I have ordered from Spanos quite a few times and have never been disappointed. The chicken Caesar salad is delicious, always fresh and crisp. The meatball sub and penne vodka are my favorites as well as the garlic bread which is a must with any entrée. The portions are extremely generous, you will not regret ordering from here.

Great comfort Italian food. The food is tasty and the portions are large. We take out from Spano’s about once a month. Each of us in our family of four has a different favorite. We are never disappointed. The food is always ready when promised.

Great food for a very responsible price! I’ve been here s few times already and am never disappointed.

Could be good? But a cold pie is never good! Will give another try! Just think on a Saturday night they might want to hire enough people to deliver a pie before it goes cold

5 stars doesn’t seem like enough — could I do 10 stars? Seriously, this place is amazing! Here’s the idea: Great Italian food to go, family style, for you to consume AT HOME! We love it — we can order one of their family dinners for the 3 of us, and have LOTS of leftovers for during the week. The prices may seem high at first — but not once you see how much food you get. Also great for catering your big family get together — order a few family meals and feed 20 people!
Our favorites are the Penne ala Vodka, and the Rigatoni Bolognese — but everything we’ve tried has been great! And they’ll deliver at no extra charge!
I do have just one complaint: They’re closed Mondays. :-(But I guess everyone needs a day off, huh?

This review is for their pizza only. The regular dishes they serve are good, i would even say very good. The pizza is an absolute train wreck. the dough has no chew, its served under cooked, the sauce is like paste (horrible) and the toppings are scattered so each slice has different toppings instead of a mix of the toppings you order. Do yourself a favor and do not go here for pizza, they have no clue what good pizza is. Every other pizzeria in Howell is far better. Linos, Solo Tu, Luigis etc. Stick with their regular food/​dinner items. Trust me on this one.

We had the Chicken Parm & Sausage Family Plans. Comes with Pasta, bread salad. Plenty of food. Delivery was on time. No complaints, It was great!

I have been wanting to stop here since they opened and tonight was it!
Its bright inside, very clean and the garlicky aroma fro the kitchen so tempting… Allison guessed I was new by my deer in the headlights look– so she happily explained the ordering process– I ordered from both menus and it was food overload– NO Complaints at all!!! WOW the servings for family are huge but so is the single portion– it was enough for 2 people– and for the price it was perfect because it was right in our budget– and we had enough for lunch the next day.
Salad was fresh and crunchy– the chicken marsala was really really good I asked for extra mushrooms and it wasn’t an issue– the rigatoni bolognese was very much a hit with our son who said it was a «go-​to» when he couldn’t make Sunday dinner due to his rig shift. The chicken francese is for sure my new favorite– just the right amount of lemon in this dish.
I had to wait a whole 20 minutes for my order LOL some may think this is long but for me it let me catch up on work emails after my long drive— I didn’t realize you can call ahead and pick up or just wait– anyway Allison just said for me to call in my order let them know when I expect to be there and it will be ready for pick up! hows that! AHmazing I said.
I give this gem 5 stars — service„ menu, quality, budget, all #1 in my book.
OH! I almost forgot— they cater and that menu looks pretty tasty as well and they do deliver, but you need to check if your within the area they deliver too.

have ordered bout 6 times now, i have had the chicken and veal parmigna, stuffed shells. lemon chicken and sausage with peppers and onions and every meal has been top notch, portions are large, even the veal portion was large!!!

Ordered the Ricotta Gnocchi. The portion was very big for one person. The Salad was very good. Garlic Bread with Cheese had a great amount of Garlic and Cheese. The only thing I found was the Bread they gave me with my meal didn’t taste Fresh. Otherwise everything else was great. Definitely will go back in the future.

The food at Spano’s is absolutely great! I kept raving about the quality of the food to my husband. He had me bring it home the other night, and he agrees, the best italian food we have had in a while. I only work in Howell, wishing they would open a location in Oakhurst :).

Great food at great prices. Family style meals are enough to feed 4 – 5 with left overs to spare!

Ordered two individuals meals of Chicken Francese and Chicken Marsala, one with penne with marinara sauce and the other with rigatoni with Marsala sauce. Both came with salads and crusty Italian bread. I chose the Caesar salad for one dish and the garden salad with balsamic dressing for the other. The portions of both entrees were huge. Two large chicken breasts which could easily last a normal eating person two days. The pasta came in a smaller aluminum container but was filled to the top. Both dishes were delicious and the salads were fresh. I also ordered garlic bread with mozzarella cheese with extra marinara sauce. The bread was crusty with just the right amount of garlic and cheese. The marinara sauce was enough for dipping the garlic bread plus the two loaves of bread that came with the meals. I will definitely come back and order the sandwiches next.

Although I have never been to the Spano’s Italian Restaurant I heard many good things about it. Now that it has a To-​Go spot in Howell, I had to try it. I got the penne vodka family meal. It easily feeds 5 people with plenty of left overs. The vodka sauce was great and the two loaves of bread were fresh. I also had their desert tortoni which is always a favorite. I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for great Italian food that is not expensive. It is also a plus that you can order and pick it up in about 15 min. Can’t beat
that!

We are huge fans of Spanos restaurant in Pt Pleasant, so we were excited to see a Spano’s To Go so close to home. They have a limited menu vs the full restaurant, but all the main dishes you’d expect to find are there.
We ordered meals, one of which I have had in the restaurant in Pt Pleasant so I had a good basis for comparison. They were fantastic! If you hadn’t told me where this meal was from, I would have never known it wasn’t from the main restaurant.
We ordered the rigatoni bolognese and the chicken francese in individual portions. Both came with bread and our choice of garden or caesar salad. The bolognese tasted exactly as I remembered it and my dish was packed full of it. I had enough to be stuffed for dinner and also lunch the next day. The salads were fresh and the dressing was excellent.
While not an exciting topic, the packaging was also noteworthy. You received very sturdy and high quality plastic containers and a stable box for the car. This was nice as I didn’t have to worry about balancing things or making a mess.
We are very excited this restaurant is here and are looking forward to our next meal!
