Pier 1 Imports

I get dragged here very now and the by the wife. Store is packed with merchandise of all types, mostly furniture. You can find some cool things here and a lot of stuff you wont find anywhere else. Here’s my knock on the place, the prices can be ridiculous! This stuff is all imported hence the name… lol Any way, I’ve always tried to be a buy American guy, but it isn’t always possible. Now I wouldn’t have such a problem with foreign goods if they were priced properly. For example, if you are selling an item that you paid someone in Bangladesh $ 1 a week to make, then you shouldn’t be getting top dollar for it! That’s exactly what you’ll see in Pier One. A lot of stuff from mostly third world countries, being sold at a price as if it were union made!!! Now that my rant is over, one last piece of advice. If you see something you like here… BUY IT! if you wait, odds are it will soon be gone and it wont be coming back!
