This store is dangerous. Like one of those places I should not go inside without my husband as to keep the time I spend in the store limited due to his short shopping attention span. They consistently have the best deals on the newest of outlet styles. I also love the layout of the store and the multi-levels and fitting rooms. Their jewelry, handbag and accessories have a vast selection, which is also nicely organized for shopping. Parking is easy with a huge lot directly behind the store as well as across the street AND to make matters worse it’s directly across from the Gap so that you can continue to build your points if you carry a Gap/Banana/Old Navy card. Plus their staff is always friendly & super helpful. I think I need to go back there today… hmmmmm…

Banana Republic outlet is all about setting expectations. It’s not quite the same quality as real BR merchandise but it’s not cheap Old Navy stuff either, it’s still great stylish clothing. And you’d be foolish to buy anything at regular price there. That being said, I have scored some amazing deals on stuff from here. Things are frequently 50% off or more and there is a great selection of work clothing. Most recently I snagged a beautiful dress for $ 40 and some work blouses for $ 15 apiece. I also agree with some other reviews that it’s a bit cramped. I’m not sure there’s any room to grow but it’s definitely a chore to navigate when it’s busy.

This store is jam packed with BR styles, none of which you can find in regular stores. However, the prices are not particularly impressive, and the sales rack was a bit of a disaster. Nonetheless, I thought they had a particularly good work-dress selection.

Lots of clothes that seem to be multiple seasons old cramped into a anxiety inducing small space. Men’s selection upstairs is about 1200 sq feet — small I like Banana, but I feel that their prices are unjustifiably high. You could purchase something of equal or higher quality at Macy’s for about 75% of Banana’s average costs.

I am not sure I agree with the other two reviews. As a frequent shopper and former employee of the Banana Republic Factory Store in Freeport I have had nothing but spectacular experiences. The staff is warm and friendly and the managers are very accommodating to customers needs. The retail space is special since it holds its civil war/summer house appeal. Deals are plentiful and competitive compared to higher end brands at the outlet level. The quality level of clothing is good, although sometimes deceiving, but overall meets or exceeds the outlet standard.

Messy, unappealing, and so much more. No one was around to help me out. I had to drag someone down to ask a simple question. Did I accidently walk into Zara or something? I doubt that I’ll make a re-appearance.

Do I have high expectations? The entire time I was there, the sales staff(there was a bunch) were just minding their own business, no friendly ‘hello’ to any of the customers in the store, and girl at the fitting room was just ‘there’. Yeah, bummer, given that during my short stay, everyone was super friendly, and then I walk into Banana. Go for the deals, don’t expect anyone to go out of their way to help. It’s a sad day for Banana.
