Great food most of the time. It is a great value, particularly when you can bring your own alcohol. You can tell when the owners aren’t there. The food quality and service drops a bit. But overall, we enjoy all of our meals there.

I’m from New Jersey, out in western PA visiting my mother. We always go to the same place in Vandergrift when I’m in town, but decided to try something new this time around. I stumbled across the Evolution Grille on Unilocal, noticed the good reviews, and decided to give it a try. O.M.G. Every appetizer sounded incredible, next time I will make a meal of them, but this time around we tried the stuffed portobello. DELICIOUS! For my meal I had the seafood pasta… WITHGIANTHOMEMADEFETTUCCINE!!! My mom had the lime infused salmon and she said it was the best she’s ever had. Homemade bread with orange ginger butter… this is not a dream. I wish I had room for dessert, but that will have to wait until next time. Practical aspects… lots of parking, tables are nicely spaced and the place is comfortable. We had a fantastic waiter who was attentive without being annoying and was very helpful in making our selections. He also looked just like Jerry O’Connell. HELLO??? Of course were going back!

We tried this restaurant for the first time today on Mother’s Day. The interior is very nicely laid out; we were seated at a high table on the side and got shots of cold air from the registers on the ceiling. We were grateful for the sweaters we had worn. Today’s menu offered some brunch choices for the day that made our selections difficult. I considered the Lobster Benedict but then opted for the Evo Meatloaf while my daughter ordered the Pork Tenderloin. My husband finally decided on the Chicken-Fried Steak and Eggs from the Brunch menu — excellent choice. We started off with the pierogie of the month — sweet potato with maple. The were fried slightly and very flavorful with just the right amount of maple flavor. We would have liked just slightly more filling to spread to the ends of the dough. The meatloaf was a blend of beef, sausage, bacon and cheese with gravy. This twist on the usual meatloaf was exceptional, and my toddler grandson chose this meal to share with me. The dinner came with mashed potatoes that had a little too much garlic flavor for my taste. My daughter and I ended the meal with a shared blueberry crème brûlée that had ideal caramelization. The flavors change on this dessert, and we will definitely look forward to trying new flavors.. We were all extremely pleased with the food we ordered and its preparation. The service was also good with excellent timing. We will plan to return again to try more of the offerings that tempted us today.

Very good food and excellent service. Our pecan encrusted baked brie made for a fun appetizer. The vegan soup was good, and the portion size was generous(closer to a bowl than a cup). I had the Eggplant Parm special and it was delicious. We split desserts and they were very tasty. I will definitely be back!

Our second visit here. Awesome service, great menu selections, and a very good variety. If you can’t find something yummy on their menu, go somewhere else. Our table of 8 included the following entrees, just to name a few: NY Strip, gorgozola cheese topped, with potatoes Panko encrusted Ahi tuna Chicken spinach Alfredo pasta Chicken marsala An excellent choice for the area, and even outside of it. I travel extensively, so I am exposed to many restaurants. I consider myself hard to impress because of it. Evolution comes through, without a doubt.

I wish i could give this place 4 or 5 stars. Unfortunately, based on our experience last night, i had to stretch it to 3. We eat out a lot and are always on the lookout for places close to us that we can enjoy. First of all, a suggestion to whoever does their website. Please make the«reservations suggested» larger and more easily noticed. I completely missed that. My wife and i decided to visit Evolution Grille before going to the movies, which is 3 minutes down 356. Since we did not have a reservation, we had to wait a bit before being seated. Fair enough, although i would have made a reservation(or gone somewhere else instead) had i known. They did get us seated, and the server greeted us promptly. I will say this right up front, the server was exceptional, and i tipped her $ 10 on a $ 28 check because she was so good. But there were 2 things she could not make up for. The first was the huge group that was seated right next to us. I guess restaurants love these big groups, but diners like us detest them. They were SO loud that my wife and i were having a difficult time having a conversation. Secondly, we ordered sandwiches to save time so that we would not be late for our movie. It took nearly 30 minutes for our sandwiches to arrive. When we ordered, the large group was just being seated, so that didn’t cause our food to take so long. As a result, we had to eat quickly and leave right away to get to the theater. We should not have had to do that. The food was good, no complaints there. It arrived hot so i know it wasn’t sitting in the kitchen for a while before being brought to us. I think i might like to try this place again, but it would be nice if the management could segregate the large groups to a different spot in the building, where they can’t ruin the dining experience for the rest of us.

We had dinner here a few days ago. It was our second visit. I really want to like this place because it tries to elevate itself above the typical fare in this area. However, they fail in execution. Our hot appetizer was cold, as were both of the meatloaf entrees we ordered. The«Caesar» salad was anything but. It was instead romain lettuce with some sort of honey dressing. No fresh ground pepper for it, either. Our server was friendly, but service itself was sporadic and haphazard. On the positive side, the filet and chicken were apparently good. Overall, though, the place did not up to expectations and is not worth the prices they charge.

I found the sandwiches we ordered for lunch(jalapeño bacon burger and chicken club wrap) to be excellent! Served with tasty thin cut fries and great sauces. Service was friendly and quick for realtime cooking. Definitely going to try their dinner fare.

Very good food! Service was attentive. Had the steak special that was cooked to perfection. Portion sizes are huge. Also tried the snicker doodle cheese cake… Very very good! Everything was fresh and perfect. Overall a great meal. A little pricey but a good treat.

Staff was rude after they lost our reservation. They acted like we shouldn’t even be there. Unacceptable & ridiculous.

Really good food, great service, nice little gem in our area. I had pistachio chicken and Alfredo on homemade noodles. I also had tiramisu. And it was amazing! My fiancé had filet with noodles and it was also very good.

One of our favorite spots in the Sarver area! Chef Mike is creative and conscientious, and he passes that same attitude on to his attentive staff. Customer service is an absolute priority here, but so are unique, healthy, and delicious dishes. The salmon specials are always my go to, but even the simple crispy chicken salad is incredibly well done. Love their ever evolving(see what I did there?) house made salad dressings and butters. Don’t miss the crème brûlée! I think my favorite part about Evolution Grille is that their produce and proteins are largely sourced locally, so when you visit this restaurant you are supporting multiple small and local businesses.

So happy to see another high quality and family oriented restaurant in the area! Evolution Grille has only been around for about 5 years and they have a new location but this is definitely a place you want to check out. The food is simple but so full of flavor that you wonder why you can make it at home. All of the food was homemade and creative in their ingredients. For example, they did Jalapeño bacon mashed potatoes today for their features and it was mild in heat but the flavor was dynamite. They have a large menu and with so many things that sound so great that I had a really hard time picking what I wanted… my eyes were way to big for my body but we left happy. So many unique but great additions to normal things we eat every day and we will definitely be back. Oh, when you go in… ask what their daily butter flavor is… today was amaretto :)

Hidden gem! I came across this place by recommendation. They seem short staffed. So the time it takes for someone to get to you is a little discouraging. But it’s totally worth the wait! The specials are amazing! This is a place where you don’t have to be scared to venture outside your comfort zone! Here, they buy everything from their produce, to the art work on their walls locally. Can’t wait to go back.

Honestly, I’ve never had anything bad here. Menu is always changing and fresh. The owners(head chef and wife) are usually always there and always super friendly. Atmosphere is good for a small group or for a romantic dinner. It’s BYOB, so don’t be shy about bringing a wine to pair with your meal(no uncorking fee or anything silly). It’s absolutely worth trying out if you are looking for something different.

I’ve lived in the area for 3 years and had yet to try this place so driving by one day decided to stop in on a whim. The decore of the restaurant is pretty and well maintained. I ordered the special of the day which was a turkey and bacon sandwich on flat bread with a side of fries. The sandwich was good but the fries were awesome! They were hot from the frier and fresh cut with the skin still on them, my favorite fry!

Family dinner on a Saturday night at Evolution Grille. We got the table by the door and were served with warm bread with their delicious coffee(or cocoa) butter. We started with a Jalepeno Jelly Baked Brie that came with crackers. It could have been hotter but was tasty — not spicy at all. My entrée was a salmon with sauteed spinach topped with lump crabmeat, served with their vegetable of the day(carrots and green beans) and mashed potatoes. My husband got their beer soaked brat. Both were solid — well cooked and satisfactory — nothing out of the ordinary. The three other people also enjoyed their entrees. We didn’t get dessert as we were all full. The price was reasonable, service was excellent and food was good and dependable. Good place to go before a movie.
