Above all, a complete disappointment. This place gets a lot of business from the workers at the plant and their menu is posted on a lot of walls around town but the food just isn’t very good and the service is pretty much awful. If you’re from Louisiana and are looking for authentic food, steer clear of this place. Nearly everything on the menu is fried and the grease needs changing. You can tell they’re not really from Louisiana by the seasoning. Bland bland bland. Standard fish fry seasoning and nothing more. The hours are inconsistent and the place isn’t very clean. Service is standard Freeport, which is to say awful. Food takes a long time to make and the owner, when she’s there, is very defensive if you complain. If she’s not there, good luck because there’s no one in charge and no one who can resolve anything. The staff are clueless.

Michele’s Cajun bacon cheeseburger is my favorite burger anywhere, and I have had burgers all over the U.S. Everything I have had here is very good, but I find it hard to resist the burger. Fries are good too. Places like this are rare.
