Fresh food and they are not stingy. My friend ordered the grilled shrimp salad and he probably had 30 shrimp on it. I got the trio. It was great. The shrimp were huge and tasty.

Without fail good food and friendly atmosphere. Had the fried shrimp and fish plate. Plate was overloaded with crispy fried catfish and large shrimp. I also had the grill fish. It was a little on the salty side.

From the outside Rudy Roo’s Seafood looks like a closed seafood market. Don’t let the outside appearance fool you. The food is Great. The fried flounder was crisp on the outside and flaky inside, delicious. Same for the fried shrimp. Crab Augratin came with the meal. Not being a crab Augratin fan I won’t comment on it. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Rudy Roo’s Seafood is a no nonsense real seafood restaurant. Next time I am at Surfside I will make a little detour to Freeport and eat lunch at Rudy Roo’s.

I had the Shrimp basket today. The shrimp is awesome. You get more than enough food. The basket includes French fries and 2 hush puppies. I also like the enchiladas and many of the daily specials. The girls that work the counter (daughters of the owners) make the ordering and dining experience fun. They treat you like family! I’m a regular here and you should be too.
