This gym used to be nice but after my experience with the unprofessional manager it killed my passion for this gym. The manager, a middle aged lady, storms into the dance studio and starts complaining about the volume of the music I was playing from the speaker. Mind you that room is meant for dancing and that speaker is much louder when classes are in there. Now at the time I was using it there were no classes scheduled, so what is the point of advertising all this expansion when you can’t even use all parts of the gym. Why do I pay my membership if I can’t go and use the gym I pay for? That’s ridiculous, but perhaps I would’ve been more understanding if she came in and politely asked me to turn down the music, but instead she comes in with an attitude, ridicules me in front of another member, aggressively unplugs the speaker with my wallet on it, and storms out. Terrible terrible management. Save yourself the embarrassment and go somewhere else like blink. I mean the studio is pointless when we can’t even use it.

This Retro Fitness recently expanded practically doubling the area and the equipment. Also there is now new management and employees. They seem to really care about the customers (unlike the previous staff)
There is usually always machines and equipment available, but the gym can get a little crowded around 5pm on weekdays, but that is expected

I downloaded Unilocal just so I could write a review about this place. Make sure you understand EVERYTHING about their policy BEFORE you join. They charge maintenance fee in addition to your membership fee and to terminate your membership you have to give 60 days notice which you will be charged for even if your contract is up.

I just joined the club. I never worked out before and the staff was amazing. Diane the manager was very helpful and nice. I love the atmosphere and cleanliness. I am so happy. Looking good forward to a new body.

Diane the Manager and Jose the Assistant Manager are really fantastic and easy to talk to. Freeport Retro has to be one of the best Gyms on Long Island. Extremely clean and the staff is very helpful! I would recommend this gym to anyone!

I love that they have a movie theater. Super clean… I’m new here so I will write another review in a month

Came as a gues with a friend. Nobody bothered to check me in so we literally walked right in. Semi meat market and ironically located right near taco bell to keep you coning back! The machines were decent but a lot of the weights were not racked
