First, I have to say, I was a little leery before going to this place. Going to a new massage place, you never know what to expect, and I have a lot of pain, neck, headache issues that someone who doesn’t know what they’re doing could easily aggravate. I love Sala Thai, so I’ve walked by this place many times and always wondered if it was worth trying. I called about 4:45 on a Friday, and asked for a 5:30 appt. I also asked about charges, and the lady on the phone made it clear that one hour for $ 50 would be my best option. I wasn’t really looking for an hour(its much too long for me) and think 30 min. is just right. 30 min. is $ 45, so they pretty much convince you to do an hour for another $ 5 bucks. Although I was a little concerned when half way through my massage, I heard a man’s voice pretty loud and it sounded like there was arguing.(I didn’t know if there were illegal activities going on or what…) Then a woman that worked there summoned my massage lady(Amy) into the hallway for 5 min. while she vented about her poor experience with the customer who apparently walked out on her. Other then that, Amy is very good, she get’s the job done, and the rooms are quiet, clean, and relaxing. I would really like a 30 min. option for less than $ 45 and that’s the reason for my 4 stars. Other than that, this place is pretty good. Amy is familiar with acupressure technique and deep tissue, and listens to what you need.

This review is for Li only. She is the best masseuse Ive had. If u like deep tissue massage, she is the best! Tip her well, she works really hard, and will take care of you. Ive had one other person give me a massage at this establishment, and it was horrible. Only ask for Li.

Made an appointment at 4 pm for a 7 pm massage. I arrived a at 6:45 to find out I will have to wait for the person to arrive. She finally came at 7:30. I was told to pay even before she arrived. 50 dollars for an hour, but it was really 50 minutes. I tipped her 10 dollars and she insisted that I give her 20. Massage was ok, but not worth 70 bucks. Guess I will have to find another place. I will not go again. Good luck if you do.

Wow!!! I just had the most incredible massage from Lucy!!! I had never had a Thai Massage before and it took me by surprise at first, but it was hands down the most incredible massage I have ever had. Lucy will adjust the pressure for you so if it is too deep just tell her lighter and she will adjust. It was perfect for me and my sore muscles after a week of hiking!

i was in search of a new place to get a massage because the spot i had been going to supposedly were giving happy endings to some patrons?! for their skills and price, i really wouldn’t have minded but i guess the city of san leandro thought differently. getting to the point where i was doubled over in pain, i found this place and i loved it! the staff is very friendly and i was able to get an appt. within the hour. this is NOT a fancy spa by any means but it was clean and there were separate massage rooms instead of just curtain partitions like many of these asian type places. I think they focus on deep tissue but the girl i saw combined swedish, acupressure, thai and deep tissue. i felt awesome when i left and was able to get my dance on that night in 3 in. heels! fyi — the sign on top of the store has a different name but look for the neon massage sign in the window.

I only see Coco so this review is based on my interactions with her. I look for Deep Tissue therapeutic massage and appreciate people who are trained in China and do that work. Coco is a good example of this kind of therapist. She was classically trained and immigrated 2 years ago. She was also trained at a massage school in LA. Her English is what you would expect from a new immigrant and that is fine with me since I am not there to chat. She is pleasant and works hard to please. Her normal style is deep(or hard) and you need to ask her to back off if you want that. WORDS I WOULDNOTUSETODESCRIBETHISPLACE: pristine, elegant, plush, high-end, beautiful, aromatic, fun, fancy or gorgeous. WORDS I WOULDUSETODESCRIBETHISPLACE: sufficient, functional, convenient, affordable, credible, effective.

I’ve had about 3 massages at this place. I’m partial to them because they are adjacentto my favorite Thai restaurant — Sala Thai. I guess the good karma spills over. The front-desk and masseuse(s) don’t speak much English. And since I’m Chinese, they assume I speak Mandarin(Pu-Tong Hwat), but I don’t. I’ve had 1 good massage and 2 so-so. A shower is available, but I didn’t think it was very clean and didn’t bother. I usually shower first anyway. Yeah, they do the hot towel thing at the end. $ 50/hour + $ 10/tip, so $ 60. Not a great deal since I know a therapeutic masseuse who charges $ 75/hour who does a 500% better job. However, getting an appointment with her takes 2 months advance booking. So I go to Bay for impromptu massages.
