Delicious food. Clean place to go with your family. Prices aren’t inflated here. Great Indian Restaurant with authentic desi taste.

Placed an online order. Arrived at pick-up ETA time. Terribly SLOW service just to get assistance. After someone finally asked if I needed help I was told my order was not ready. Eventually got my order 10 minutes later than pick-up ETA. But wait… it gets worse. I drive home and realize they’ve messed up my order! I ordered Paneer Tika Masala and they gave me Chicken Tika Masala. Unacceptable. I called and told them and all they did was apologize. I asked if there was anything they could do to rectify the situation and they said«no» but that they were«sorry». I asked what if I was a vegetarian? I wouldn’t even be able to eat what they gave me. They just kept saying«sorry». They never offered to refund my card or replace my order. They just said«sorry». I was stunned. Silver lining? The Chicken Tika Masala was delicious. Sadly, it wasn’t what I ordered…

Man i aint sure its just me or what. this place has really bad food. I tried many things to finally conclude that it doesnt have any good veg options except the chat. The baingan bharta didnt have salt n was cooked raw. The paneer tikka tasted like v8. Finally the wrap nothing great about it; was wrapped with naan some leftovers from std thali. Given the fact there are so many options nearby i wud not recommend this place.

I’ve been coming here for years and their food quality has been consistent, unlike many other restaurants. I often use online orders which is very convenient. And they open late every day. Super convenient for busy folks.

This place is ridiculous. The food is ok, at best. When we ordered dinner for pick up on Christmas night because it was the only place really open.(1) The guy answering the phone didn’t know ANYTHING about the menu — we tried ordering items off of the menu that he kept saying didn’t exist. Hello, «Tandoori Chicken Sandwich!!!» I’ve ordered this dozens of times before, and it’s written right on the menu. He kept telling me they had no such item. I thought I was going crazy. When I checked the menu to make sure I wasn’t nuts and called back, he then put me on hold to ask someone. When he came back, there was no «I apologize, we DO have that item…» But instead he comes back and says«how many do you want?» After I place the order, he tells me that my order for 5 tandoori chicken sandwiches should be ready in 15 minutes. I figure that’s a loose estimation and it’ll likely be a bit longer, so I wait 20 minutes and then leave to drive to deep Fremont from Union City, which took me about another 20 minutes. We are now 40 minutes in from when I place my order. I get there and stand in line to pay for and pick up my order and the same clueless person who answered the phone tells me(in so many words) that it is going to be 10 more minutes before my order is ready. Exhausted and not wanting to argue, I say, «fine» and sit on the bench in front of the register to wait. And wait. And wait. 30MINUTESLATERMYFOODISFINALLYREADY. They obviously didn’t start the order until I got there and paid for the food. This is fine if that’s what you want to do, but then DON’T TELLMEMYFOODISGOINGTOBEREADYIN15MINUTESWHENIT’S GOINGTOTAKEOVERANHOURFROMTHETIME I PLACEMYORDER. Stop lying to and telling customers that you will start on their order right away after they’ve ordered it if you’re going to wait until they show up to start making it. Delicious! the Chicken Desi wrap is a must! The wait for the food is a bit long but they seem to make everything from scratch. They have beer and ice cream as well. A must try.

Love Chaat Café for a quick bite. This is one of the few places that has maintained their consistency in terms of taste and quality over the years. My favorites are the Butter Chicken, the spicy wraps and the chaat dishes. Butter chicken tastes great with the freshly made naan. Spicy Seek Kabob is also good. Order it withouth the rice and it makes a great appetizer. Prices are affordable and the service is good.

I have been to this restaurant more than I can even count and have been meaning to write a review for months now. I have tried many things on their menu but I honestly love love LOVE this place for one and one thing only: their paneer wrap. I have tried so many vegetarian wraps in various Indian restaurants around the area and none of them even come close to this one! I have brought several of my friends to this restaurant who have tried the other wraps and they are a fan of them as much as I am(which is just awesome). What makes the wraps so different, special, and just the best? 1. They are rolled in soft fresh plain naan. 2. They taste SO flavorful. 3. They are quite filling for the $$ you are paying. 4. Potato salad complements the overall meal nicely. Tips: Eat every bite with one of the sauces on the side(either the green or red); you won’t be disappointed. I also personally prefer the potato salad over the cucumber as a side any day. Lastly, grab the raw onions if you are a fan of some crunch with your meal. I still give this restaurant 4⁄5 because their service is so-so and their chat items are not too great for the amount you are paying. I’ve had days when the service was all right but they are never consistent. Some days I sat for 30 minutes only to realize they forgot my order and had to remind them again. Other than that, this place is a definite must try if you are into wraps!

Authentic Indian Cuisine in a casual atmosphere! I really like this place, the cashiers/servers are all very friendly, well at least all of the girls are… haha. the food is always very fresh and served right away, it’s all pretty much prepared to order. If you go at lunch hours you will wait in line and search for a seat, I like to go at «off lunch» hours. after 1:30pm. On the weekend they are busy pretty much all day. My favorite foods here are the Tandoori Chicken sandwich, the Tandoori Chicken salad(15 minute wait), the Boti wrap, Butter Chicken and the Samosas! Thumbs Up cola in the glass bottles are great with ice too! Glad they are here in Fremont!

I loved the biryani. The chicken was cooked to perfection and seasoned well. The proportions were enough to take home and eat the next day. My boyfriend at the Chicken Tikka Masala, I didn’t like the sauce in it at all. The Naan seem burnt but I didn’t mind. We also ordered and enjoyed putting together our Pani Puri was really good. The mango lassi was alright. The placed didn’t seem extremely clean but its sorta to be expected for these places unfortunately. I would go back and take home some Biryani.

I was in Fremont and craving Indian food. There were so many options to choose from but I decided to eat at Chaat Café. For appetizers we ordered tandoori mixed grill. The lamb was delicious. It is my favorite. The chicken was a bit dry. I think it’s because they use chicken breasts. For our entrées we ordered the chicken plate, the salmon plate, and cholay puri. For drinks we ordered a couple of fountain drinks and mango lassi. Overall the food was delicious. What I like about chaat café is you can request the food to be spicy if desired. I won’t be back in Fremont anytime soon but if I am I will drop by again.

We had pani puri and chat papdi. Has stomach ache when we came home. 4. We got choole bhatooore to go. Yuk old food. Had to threw away. Basi food. Never ever visiting again…

The naan here is delicious! They’re made from scratch and freshly made right in front of you. It’s very soft and doughy and it goes really well with their flavorful buttered chicken. I have only tried the chicken wrap here and that’s the only thing I get because I really like it! The wrap comes with abundant chicken and cucumbers. You also get a cucumber salad on the side but you can request for the potato salad. I’d also like to point out that the staff here is very friendly! I’m from SoCal and there aren’t too many good Indian food places here, so I really like to stop by this place whenever I visit NorCal!

This place is just like 25 other Indian restaurants in and around Fremont. Not bad but nothing spectacular as well. We ordered: Papdi chaat and sev puri chaat — good Mango lassi — tasted funny Spicy chicken wrap — nothing to write home about Prices are reasonable and service is pleasant. Kitchen, eating area and restrooms were clean. No air conditioning so gets hot especially during summer. They accept credit cards.

Ambiance: nice, clean and modern. You order at the counter and they bring the food to your table. Modern sounding Indian music playing in the background. Service: I’ve been eating here for 15 years, since my Ohlone days, and this place has always had its ups and downs when it comes to service, but they always get my order right and the food is brought out hot and fresh. Food: AMAZING!!! In 15 years I have yet to find an Indian restaurant(including other Chaat Cafes) that can match the food here. The butter chicken is consistently delicious. The goat curry is suberb. All of the naans and kabobs are made fresh in front of you in tandoor ovens. The spicy seekh kabob(minced lamb) wrap is possibly my favorite single food item available anywhere! The keema naan, a mince lamb stuffed Flatbread, is also awesome. Not a huge fan of their CTM, but I never like CTM, and sometimes their naan is a little too thick… but usually the food is on point. The will also make mild versions of chicken tikka(boneless chicken breast kabob) for kids(and spice wimps) and a mild, but delicious, chicken pesto naan(no longer on the menu but available by request).

A nice place to grab a quick bite. The chaat items are nice. I really like the plain and the stuffed parathas. Oh, and the vada pao is amazing– spicy and tasty.

Ordered aloo tikki and chole bhature. The chole tastes very bad. It was sour! And unauthentic. The cashier didn’t show enough courtesy welcome either
