Cresco Equipment Rentals

My company has used Cresco for a few of our northern California events. John has always priced matched or came in less than all the competitors. Their carts are clean and newer. John even gave me his personal cell phone in case anything happened. Only reason why they aren’t 5 stars is because one of their 6 passenger carts went down (they fixed it immediately though). I will continue using Cresco in all my future events and I advise you to as well!

One of the only local options for small-​to-​mid-​sized equipment rentals. I paid $ 34.88 (including tax) to rent a 7-​ton electric log-​splitter for just four hours. They warned me that this splitter had gotten mixed reviews, but the next size up was over twice the price and required a trailer hitch (which I don’t have).
The unit handled most smaller pieces of wood OK regardless of hardness, but the oak pieces over 6 inches in diameter were usually too much for it. As a result, I was only able to split about 60% of the wood I wanted too, and what it did split took longer than it should have.
Also, I’d wanted to rent the unit on Saturday afternoon (Dec 27), but it turns out they closed at noon for «holiday hours». No voice mail to tell you this — I only figured it out by going to the corporate website and searching for the Fremont store’s hours.
All-​in-​all a mixed experience. The staff is very helpful, but I can’t give more than an average review considering the prices, equipment quality, and limited holiday season hours.

Great service, problem free experience, everything worked as promised and we even got a discount for bringing the cement mixer back early. Very nice people, answered all our questions, I love the prices. This makes those DIY projects so much easier for us homeowners. thanks guys we will be back.

Very good rental group (I know that the company has changed hands, but fortunately a number of the staff have remained over the years). Have always been happy with the way I have been treated and they usually have anything and everything we’ve needed. Excellent service, thanks again guys.

Stopped bv on WED 12/​28/​2011 at 1:30PM (mid-​week post lunch) to pick up some propane. The gates were locked and no one was available either by phone or in person for an explanation as to why. Can’t make your customers happy if you aren’t open during the hours you claim to be.
Normally this place is well run and the people operating it are helpful (4 – 5 stars), not on this day.

These guys are awesome. They know every in and out of every single equipment that they rent. No matter if its a carpet shampoo machine or a 24 foot flat bed truck. Each guys is well trained and I think that each guy here has been working there for atleast a dozen years. They are a little pricey, but they usually have anything and everything you can ever need. They even deliver some equipment for you, if you don’t have a truck youself. You will not got wrong when you rent from these guys.
And again, Awesome customer service.

I rented a huge log splitter last weekend. The employees were wondeul and showed me how to use the machine. It was hard work but we got it done thanks to the big machinery we were able to rent in fremont. I also got my BBQ propane tanked filled. He explained to me that the exchange places are Not filling them up to capacity. He was right I checked blue rhino and it says right on their exchange place 15lbs. The tanks hold 20lbs. I recommend Cresco to anyone needing to rent large equipment.

Workers are quick and helpful. Tell you when to bring back equipment to save money and don’t try to rip you off if you are a little late.

We have a family of Farrel cats living in our back yard. I had to rent a humane animal trap and bring the little kitties to the animal shelter. This shop has a ton of things you can rent big diggers and small power tools anything you could or would ever want. All I needed was two cages. The men there were really helpful and helped me carry out the cages to my car. They even did a demo in the shop for me to show me how to use the cages.
⁶⁄₂ We have thus caught 2 of the 5 kittens in my back yard. The mom and the other 3 kittens are still awaiting capture. I bought them fancy feast hopefully it will entice them into the Cresco Cage.
