Farhana Baig

Farhana did an amazing job on my makeup for all my bridal events. I never had so much fun while she was doing my makeup. Most importantly, she made me feel at ease and reassured me everything was going to be ok during a time that is really nerve-​wracking for a bride like myself. I really appreciate her work and her professionalism. If I had to do it all over again, I would hire only her and on one else.

Farhana is a professional make up artist who really understands technique and keeps current with the latest trends. She always manages to make what I have in mind a reality — often better than I expected. She’s a master at beautiful dramatic eyes. She is really good!

I got married last year and hired Farhana to do my wedding makeup. If I could go back and do it all over again, I would not hesitate to re-​hire Farhana Baig. I loved my bridal look and got tons of compliments from friends and family members.
Any makeup artist can give you a beautiful smoky eye and a bold lip, but only Farhana nails the foundation and face makeup. Her blending, contouring, and blush application are perfection and even better than airbrushing!
For a Pakistani or Indian bride, it is very important to have the dupatta pinned correctly because it completes the bridal look. Farhana pinned it securely so that I could move and hug people without worrying about my dupatta falling off.
Overall, working with Farhana was a great experience, and I’m looking forward to working with her again in the near future.

I unfortunately have to agree with the other negative review about Farhana’s professionalism. I had heard great things about her make-​up skills and many of my friends have gone to her for bridal makeup with great results. However, though her make-​up artist skills may be great, they do not make up for her lack of professionalism and bad service. I had contacted her through her facebook page nearly a year before my wedding date and received no response for many weeks until a friend of mine finally gave me an alternate email address to contact. Instead of Farhana responding herself, I was contacted by someone else who told me she was likely busy on the day of my wedding but would get in touch with me to discuss if we could figure out an arrangement. I was never contacted again. From my understanding, she is great if she has a personal connection to you and is very good with the make-​up. But if you don’t actually know her … good luck.

I loved working with Farhana for my wedding! I booked Farhana months before my wedding and kept in touch with her in the months leading up to the wedding. She was super helpful when we met for a consultation in terms of making sure my skin would look its best for the big day. Farhana also introduced me to some great cosmetics that have changed my life (and face) forever!
I had three events on three different days, and she was on time and professional for each event. Farhana goes above and beyond– if there is something other than makeup that you need help with, she’ll make sure to fix it and ensure that you look your best.
Farhana has since done my makeup for other events, and she is worth every penny. No one else does makeup like Farhana does.

Farhana is one of the most unprofessional people I’ve ever met. I wish I could give her a Zero star.
It all started when I was in search of a bridal makeup artist for my May wedding and heard many great things about her work. I decided to contact her via her facebook page, no luck. I then left her a voicemail asking her to please call me back, no luck. I decided to send an email explaining what I was looking for and my wedding date information, she finally responded and told me she would call me to set up an appointment to meet.
Even though at this point I was slightly peeved, I decided to ignore my gut feeling about her and set up a meeting. She told me to meet her at the Stoneridge mall in Pleasanton the following week. The day of the appointment I called an hour before hand just to confirm she would be there. No answer. I decided to drive the 20 miles to the mall anyway, just because I hoped she would come. Once I got to the mall I called again. She finally called me back 15 minutes later and told me that she was at the Gym and had totally forgotten about our meeting, but she was on her way.
Wow. Really? Ok. I decided to still wait for her to come, and when we met she apologized a few times and since I wanted her to do my makeup, I decided to get over it. We discussed pricing and dates, she confirmed that she would be able to do my bridal makeup and I asked if she needed a deposit. She told me that at that point I didn’t need to give her a deposit, but she put me in her schedule and told me she’d be in touch.
This was 2 months before my wedding. For the next 6 weeks I did not hear back from her at all. I decided to call her a few times myself, just to ensure that she would actually be there when I needed her. No luck. Emails, phone calls, voicemails and text messages. All ignored!
I ended up finding Teresa Reynolds through Unilocal at the last minute, and luckily for me she was available and highly professional.
Farhana, I’m not sure who you think you are, but you should take that stick out of you know where and be a professional when dealing with potential customers and brides. Your makeup skills are good, I’ll give you that much credit. But you’re not the best in the business hunny, and I hope no brides have to deal with the issues I had with you.
On a side note: After I wrote this review, I made a posting on Farhana’s facebook profile that told brides to check out this review before they decided to hire her. She deleted my comment within an hour. It’s funny that she’s so quick to delete negative reviews, but so slow to respond back to potential clients.

Farhana is a cosmetic genius; her passion and talent shine with each stroke of her brush. Her mantra is to make every lady feel great, look different and be bold. She incorporates daring colors and compliments them with soft and subtle ones to create an unforgettable look. And of course, her meticulous attention to detail never goes unnoticed. Aside from her obvious and crafty skills, she is an absolute delight to work with. She offers great beauty tips and always manages to showcase the person’s true character with each face she paints. She is amazing to say the least.
