My teenage son completed the NRA Rifle Instructor Course this weekend. The level of support that Jordan and other participants gave him was excellent, and he learned a solid amount of information over the weekend. My son came home on Saturday evening eager to complete his studying and position practice for Sunday’s class, and this was the first weekend in a long time that I’ve seen him wake up before his alarm clock rang.
We have previously watched Jordan supervise at a volunteer target shooting event that we participate in, so I already knew that he is committed to safety and attention to detail. He is also an excellent instructor. So although I am often accused of being an «overprotective» parent, I was confident that my son would be safe when I dropped him off for this course.
Based on our experience, I would definitely recommend this course for parents with teenagers who are interested in becoming assistant instructors.
