Mop ‘n Bucket Cleaners

It does not get worse than these guys. I used them once and I still regret. This guy Claudio spent half of the time on the phone planning a night out with his friends. Be barely cleaned the house and the only room. he did clean looks terrible. Not a good experience, I won’t use these guys again.

These are the worst cleaners in California. Actually, they do not really clean, all they do is move things around. The owner Claudio Perrichon is lazy, he works half of the time and spends the other half on the phone talking to women. Not that I care about what he does but since I was paying by the hour he should ha been more professional. To make things worse he spent the afternoon hitting on my wife. People should avoid this company at all costs.

I found these guys on craigslist. These people are the worst cleaner so far. They give you a quote over the phone and then when they come, they start nickel and dimming you. They send cleaner who can not communicate with you well. They really do not know how to clean. They just move things around and clean around it. When i lifted my cup from the table they claimed to have cleaned there were stains. Worst Ever,!!! Stay away please and save you some money

I set an appt with Mop N Bucket, and Anna was the lady who assisted me at their 209 telephone number. She asked me how big the office was and how much it cost. I her our square footage on the unit and she replied with «It will cost $ 75 for your office». I advised them we needed proof of insurance and license. As a matter of fact, I told them TWICE just to make sure there was no communication issues with them not having it available when they arrived for the first time.
They showed up late, and no insurance. No license either. We run an insurance agency and we are quite careful with who comes into our office and performs work. Secondly, they waited for almost an hour until the owner Claudio was able to provide this for us.
After waiting for an hour, we check out their insurance and license. Fine, a little late, but at least everything panned out.
½ way into the cleaning, our cleaners (who is AMAZING (esmerelda), told me that the charge is $ 75 per office. We have 4 little offices, and a main area, which will make the cleaning $ 400?! No way, I would never agree to pay that. Even a building/​office who would pay that would have it more than once a week, it’s ridiculous.
I told the cleaners to leave, and I gave them a $ 50 check. The partially cleaned my office and I am sadly dissapointed that this is how they run their business. The cleaners and the main office people were arguing on the phone about what had happened, and although I felt bad for the cleaners, I felt like it was unfair to me as a business owner. They need to get their $hit together. AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS.

It actually hurts me to write this review because I don’t think these are bad people. We were moving in to a new location and the place was pretty filthy for something that was supposed to be move-​in ready. We normally go with another cleaner, but alas, they don’t do carpets and we were on a tight schedule. So, we found Mop ‘n Bucket on Craigslist and they happened to actually answer when we called! Robert was fine to work with on the phone and what’s actually really nice is that they take credit card so there are no awkward mental math moments and cash/​check transactions as the cleaners are trying to leave. The cleaners themselves were very friendly and fine. Not great, but not bad either.
The problem? It took forever to get a receipt from these guys and when I asked again for a receipt, they charged my card again for an additional $ 250. I sent a txt to complain (yes, Robert responds to txt) and the bank shows that they refunded the $ 250 — although I was given a «Huh, dunno what yer talkin’ about!» response.
So, it took a week and a half, but in the end, Robert was friendly, the workers were friendly, the place was cleaned, I got my receipt, and I was billed properly. But you know, most cleaners are able to pull this off without the drama. If it weren’t for the drama, I’d probably give them four stars, but as it stands, I’d be lying. Do yourself a favor and use Lotus Cleaners.

What a crappy cleaning service! I called them last minute to schedule a cleaning before my private viewings/​open house of my property. I was ensured that the cleaners wouldnt miss a thing over the phone from their representative. I told the rep about my floor plan and what I was expecting. The cleaners arrived the next morning and they arrived ten minutes early which was great. But I left them to clean without me being present for the last 1 ½ hours and they rushed cleaned my property, spot cleaned my floor and didn’t even clean all the rooms. The owner refused to have the cleaners come back to finish the work because she stated that the quality has nothing to do with the hours they were alotted and offered to send a new crew but I would have to pay. What horrible customer service. Now I’m stuck cleaning my house in a hurry before the showings. Waste of Money!!!

i was looking for house cleaners and I came across mop n bucket while looking for cleaners. Here is my experience…
They came in for a twice a month cleaning service. Sometimes they were great and sometimes bad. It was a roller coaster ride. The last time they came in… well they never showed up so their last time never happened.
I dunno it’s hard to say, yeah ok cleaners miss a spot here and there and I don’t care, but if they don’t show up to the job, then I dunno what to tell ya.

I agree with Leigh and Karen, i wish i could give zero stars as well, while i’m writing this review, my hands are still shaking because i am so mad with their Manager, i think her name is Nicole. No customer service at all, to the point she was blaming me (the customer) why it took them so long to finish my house. What kind of customer service that? There were only 2 cleaners when there’s supposed to be 3. She was blaming me that it took them longer to clean because of my15 minutes delay. Their vacuum was broken, good thing my vacuum is working.
When i called them yesterday and told them i have 4 bedrooms 2 ½ bath 2 living rooms, they told me it will take them 2 or ²¹⁄₂ hours to clean. so i said not bad so i hired them. when they came this morning the guy came in to do a walk thru and the guy said same thing they should be done in 2 hours or so. The guy and the other cleaner left half an hour later, so there were only 2 cleaners cleaning the house so it took them longer to clean the house which is the bad news, i have to pay more. Nicole is charging me $ 275, no way i told them i can’t pay more than $ 200 but no no Nicole and i had a long conversation that i should pay for what they work for and told me that «it’s not like they are just sitting down doing nothing». So she said i can take $ 250. OMG… with a heavy heart i just told her to end our conversation i will settle for $ 225. i am not happy at all but i really have to go back to work and i don’t think she will let me pay only $ 200.
I was charged $ 25 per hour per person (not $ 20 per Lindsey’s review) did they overcharge me??)
They are only accepting cash which i was not told in the first place.
Total regret the only reason i looked for other cleaners is because my regular cleaning lady is not available. I only pay $ 120 for my cleaning lady and she cleans up to 6 hours. $ 105 difference but the quality of work are the same. BIG regret !

Can’t say how well they clean because despite waiting several hours, they never showed. So if you’re looking for someone reliable (as I was), don’t use these guys.

I called Mop ‘n Bucket this morning at 11:45, and there was a team of 3 people at my door at 3:15 pm! (+1 star for same day service.)
Jimmy came in to do a walk through with me to discuss my expectations, then he, Terry and Leticia went straight to work on my 3 bed/​1bath house. An hour and forty-​five minutes later the house was sparkling. They vacuumed, mopped, dusted, cleaned the bathroom floor to ceiling, and did the whole kitchen including the fridge and oven. (+1 star for efficiency despite billing at an hourly rate.)
Their attention to detail throughout the house was better than my previous cleaning service. (+1 star for details like cleaning the bathroom mirror, and dusting baseboards.) Jimmy walked me through the house afterwards, and he actually caught something they’d missed and fixed it. I didn’t find anything.
Finally, it cost me less than I’d been expecting to pay. (+1 for saving me $.)
One tip is that the guy on the phone told me they’d start me out with the hourly rate, then quote me a flat rate for return service. For today (my first detailed cleaning) I paid $ 20 per person per hour, so it cost me $ 60 an hour. The flat rate quote the guy in the office gave me was $ 100. I asked how long the team thought it would take them if they were doing a «regular maintenance» cleaning. They said an hour. So, if I use them again, I’m going to either just say I want to stick with the hourly rate, or have to renegotiate the flat rate because I don’t want to pay $ 40 more. Luckily, everyone’s been so nice, I don’t expect it to be a problem. Just make sure you’re doing your math and including your tips.
Tip number two: cash only.
I will definitely be using them again.

I wish I could give zero stars. Hired them for a move-​out clean off of Craigslist. They were more expensive than the others, I hired them because I thought they would be more detail-​oriented. I had to make them come back to clean the blinds, which I specifically asked for them to clean. In fact, when I came back, they had all the blinds up, perhaps so I wouldn’t notice that they were still dirty. They did a terrible job on the blinds after I asked them to do them and skipped one altogether. Only cleaned the portions of the blinds in arms’ reach, not the whole blind. They didn’t vacuum the carpets. They didn’t clean under the microwave or on top of it. They didn’t wipe out the cabinets. They left dirty patches in the bathroom. They didn’t wipe the dust off the top of the shower curtain rod. They didn’t remove the cobwebs from the corners near the ceiling or down near the floor. They didn’t clean the top of the fridge or along the gaskets. The stove wasn’t that clean. I’m really not that picky, I just want my deposit back.
Update, a few weeks later. My landlord took money out of my deposit for «cleaning».

Three hard working individuals showed up and worked non stop for 3 hours. The place looked great, and they were able to remove some discoloration on woodwork I thought was a lost cause. They were one of the few cleaning outfits that worked by the hour, so I fortunately hired them!
